I have met so many people, that have traveled outside of the U.S. I am wondering, have you ever been here in the U.S. all your life, without traveling to another country.. I have yet to travel to an foreign country. I may do so when my kids get a little older.. What about you, have you not traveled beyond the United States either? If I traveled, it would be right in this same country, not outside of it. I have never had the chance to travel to another destination.. But, I would like to..happy

I am from the UK and my country is tiny compared to the USA. I know that your country is huge so I understand there is lots to see there . You could think of going to Canada or Mexico one day. I have been to California three times and to Hawaii once. I really love traveling and when I was 20 years old I went around the world. I traveled to France when I was a child then Greece when I was a teenager. [maximax8]
Good! I see that you have traveled to our country!! I would love to see yours! Plus, the other places that you mentioned!happyhappy [cream97]
You'd be surprised that a lot of people haven't traveled outside the US. I'm one of those people! I do have some countries in mind I would like to visit, and i'd like to think that before I die, i'll get that chance. My daughter has even told me that whenever I go to Ireland, she wants to come with me. I guess I won't be needing a babysitter then! [IrishRose23]
Good! Then that makes two of us + more..happyhappyhappy [cream97]

Ummm, I've never been more than 100 miles from my house. It is sad as my husband has been to several different states on vaca but I haven't been anywhere. So considering that, nope, no passport for me yet. Actually, I've never been on a commercial plane either! What a sad sad life! I would love to go to a few different places in the US and a few outside of it too but with the economy so bad it's pretty hard for us to have the extra money to travel. Maybe one day... [psspurgeon1]
Yes, I know how you must feel. I have never traveled past the U.S. once.. I hope to get to do this, when I have a heap of money on me. I am sorry that you have not been able to travel like you want to.. Like you said, maybe one day you will be able to. And when you do, I know that you will have a nice time!happyhappy [cream97]

You are not alone in this one.I'm from Romania(Transilvania) and although I've been on the roads a lot,I never crossed my country's borders.Inside trips...lot of them.I was planning to go to Sweden this fall, but I didn't get the time to do that. It's just work work work and oh yeah!more work! for me this year.Maybe in spring..I just have to go out of this country for a few days.Ohh...my ancestor's blood is still running through my veins. They needed hundreds of years to settle down.Hopefully I won't need that much time :) [Tammuz]
I am very glad that I am not alone in this one either.. At least you want to travel beyond your territory.happy [cream97]
I am in the UK and i have never ever traveled outside of the UK the furthest i have ever been was Ireland and that was because i have family there. Me and my partner plan to go traveling when our children get older. [littleone3]
That sounds like so much fun to go to Ireland.. I would love to visit a country as this one! You must be having so much fun here!happyhappy [cream97]
I've traveled to Canada and Nova Scocia before but not any other country. I always wanted to go to other countries but never have been able to. Happy lotting [lilcee]
Yes, Novia Scotia is a very rare country that you do often here about. I would like to visit both places.. They sound interesting.happyhappy [cream97]
Hi cream, I have been several times to Taiwan, Thailand, and the Philippines. I love these places and my husband worked in all of them for over 11 years, without coming to the US to work. I've also been to Canada several times. I've only been to China a couple of times. There are many more places that I love to go. My health has slowed down my traveling consideralbly. When you get a chance to go, you'll love these places if you get the chance to visit. [moondancer]
I bet I would.. It sounds very exciting! I can't wait until that time comes! I am glad that you enjoyed yourself!happy [cream97]
No, your not the only person. I have never traveled out of the US. I would love to go to France and Africa someday. My sister and her husband have been to London, and they loved it. [alexsis]
Well, let's see. I've been to Canada about 6 times and to Mexico twice. I've also been to the Caribbean twice and to Puerto Rico three times. [kenzie45230]
I'm from the Philippines and I've never been out of the country in my whole life... since birth. But I know I will get the chance to travel abroad soon because I am saving for my future travel expenses. [amira_milka]

hi cream I have traved to British Columbia many years ago, and once to Tijuan Mexico but that is my only experience outside of the US. and I havent seen all the states in our US either. I have never been to the Southern states or the eastern states like New york, penn, rhode island all those states. I have been to most of the Western states. I was born in'South'Dakota, moved to Arizona and finally ended up in California. If you could some day you should take a trip up into british Columbia, its a gorgeous place and the people are so friendly too.Hope things are going so much better for you now, and maybe someday you and your kids could go on some traveling trips even here in our States. ever get to Ca look me up I will be in Antioch when we get moved. lol. [Hatley]
I think, there are many people here who never traveled outside the United states. If they ever traveled, just in another state but not outside America. Well, I am not originally from US. I just migrate here in US, and this is the first time also I traveled outside my country. If you are a first time traveler outside of your country, It is very exciting and nervous at the same time. Well, time will come that you will experience that. Good luck. [Bebs08]
I've been to the border of Canada, but never outside the USA, so you're not alone. I do plan to travel outside the USA for missions one day but right now I'm hanging out in North America like you are. My wife has been out of the USA a couple of times, she's a jet setter! [gitfiddleplayer]
No trust me, no you're not the only one who's never traveled outside the U.S.A. I've met some people who've never been out of their own town!! EVER!! Now that's mind boggling!! lol I can't imagine being stuck in one little town, regardless how big or small it is, my whole life!! ACK!! I've been to Niagra Falls on the Canadian side which is absolutly breath taking but, I've never been anywhere else so I can't really say I was out of the country because it was for only a few hours then we went back to hubby's sisters house in New York. [CatsandDogs]
I moved to U.S. from Korea when I was almost 14 years old. I went back for my brother's wedding. Other than that, I've been to Canada, Mexico, only for a day, and England. I'd love to travel European countries & rest of the Asian countries. [sk66rc]
You are not alone. I have never travelled much at all and have never left the US. I'd love to someday but I started a family young and have just not had the finances nor the time to even do much exploring here. Maybe someday...who knows. If not, I'll be ok with it. [sid556]
Don't feel bad about not having travelled outside the U.S. I used to live in an island before and I knew some people who had never gone to the other side of that island, even though it was only a few hours away by car! Get to know the place where you live first and I am sure the chance will soon come for you to travel somewhere else! [sylvia13]
No, you're not the only one cream. I too have never traveled outside the US. As it is I haven't traveled outside of California in years! Nor do I really care to. I'm pretty much content where I am at. Why bother traveling? happy [sacmom]
Pls count me too. I am froM India. I work in IT a softwares engineer. traveling abroad in company cost is very common factor in this sector. But after being more that 4 yrs here, i am yet to travel abroad. pity onb me [subha12]
For what I read in mylot and some people around my life it is something quite common not traveling outside the US. It is a big place and any trip to another country means having to take a plane unless you live close to the borders. It is a lot easier here as I live 60 Kms to the French border so I can get there in less than an hour. A traveled a lot around Europe and it is easier to count the countries where I haven't been than the ones I already visited. In the Americas I've been only once as a student it was too expensive for me to go there. [overwings]
Nope I have never travelled outside the US, though there are a few countries I would like to see someday, but like you, waiting for my kids to be grown and gone ! [jillybeans]
I have never traveled out side the US and probably never will. It take a lot more money than I will ever have to travel out side and inside the US. There are so may places here in the US to travel to to see. I would like to take an RV and just start driving one one highway and stop when I felt like it and see what there is to see. I think it would be fun to just travel the back roads. [deebomb]
i never been outside the states, i haven't been to many states.. i like to go to a few countires. [syankee525]
I Lived in the Philippines also. but i envy my mother and eldest brother, because they have been to US. I have either never been in any parts of my country. well, i just considered myself as a real home buddy. but i feel depressed sometimes that i need a way out! [Greeneagle24]
i haven't either.it's not for lack of want, but lack of money. there's a few places also in the world i'd love to go,but am actually terrified to due to my nationality. [scarlet_woman]
For most people there is little chance of going abroad, and they never travel outside of their country, some even their small city. But in my opinion, we should try our best to make our dream come true. I used to work in a small town.To persue my dream of broadening my horizon ,I sent in my jackets. I am now thinking about going to Australia to have a vocation with my wife and daughter.Personally, the world outside is wonderful .You can have a lot of pleasure and make you a better youself.Do what you want ,you will never regret when you are old. [hebeiytqiang]
i've never been any other country outside my hometown China~i've never been to the USA. if you wanna travel abroad, CHina is a nice country and shanghai is a nice place. welcome you [tanstar]
No you are not the only one...lol. I also have never traveled outside the U.S. International travel does seem to be happening more from what i can see, but not with me. The only place i have a goal to go outside the U.S is Australia...once hubby retires and son is in college (about 12 yrs from now..lol) that is our first thing we are doing. [faln_angel1205]
I have also been stuck in the US my entire life. I wish I could afford to go to another country. I don't even care where. [camomom]
When I was about six years old my parentsd took us to Italy to visit my Dad's family. I had a very bad experience with the plane & swore I would never fly again. I did eventually fly again, but after 9/11 I just can't bring myself too. The very thought of getting on a plane sends me into a panic. So although I have been to Italy I will never travel out of the U.S. if it requires me flying. [photographygirl73]
Hello cream97, I am not from the United States and I am fortunate enough to travel outside my country. I worked in a multinational company and I was lucky enough to go on training to the US where our company main office is located. I was able to see some cities of the US like Dallas and Houston and experience a bit of the culture there. It was fun and exciting, and it is a good life experience. Try it, if you have the chance but if it is not possible due to unforseen events it is just ok to be just within your country. Regards. ninjaninjaninja [robert19ph]
i have never been outside of the us either.. but i have known some people that have never even left their state!! i would love to travel money willing.. and well if i wouldnt be scared of flying haha [moonlitmagikchild]

Well, let's see. I was born and raised in Michigan and we used to go to Canada every summer when we were younger Now I live in San Diego and would go to Tijuana, Mexico sometimes by myself and other times with friends. I even lived in Tijuana for almost 3 years, but, I have never visited abroad. Someday, though.......... Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija [kellyjeanne]
I have an Australian friend of mine who has been telling me that 40% of the US citizens haven't set food outside of the US and didn't even have Passports , especially that lots of the US citizens used to go to Canada without the need of one.so you are not the online person , Chill :) [djxlord]
Don't feel alone. I've never traveled outside of the United States either. I think I might would like to if I could get the chance (but only if I could get to the place by boat first. No planes for me, thank you heh). I think the two countries I'd like to visit the most are Ireland and France. I've always really wanted to visit Ireland especially. But I actually have ancestors from Ireland and France. So I think it would be interesting to actually see where my ancestors came from. But yeah, I've never traveled outside of the United States. [DarthJustice]
Hey! Do not despair. I'll invite you in my country and we'll go to some other parts of Asia. I always travel because of my business. From where are you in the US? I'll go there very soon to visit my aunt in N.Y. [ChloeStrawberry]
