Cheap Flights Or Comfortable

What do you look for when booking with an airline company? Do you search for niceties and being comfortable with services such as meals and movies? Or do you search for the cheapest flights. I prefer the latter. What do you prefer?

I always go for the cheapest flight and with an airline I trust. I know how to entertain myself and extra waiting time is no big deal if it just a few hours.I alwasy have a little packed snack stuff with me too. I have travelled a bit and KNOW which ones I don't want to deal with IF I can choose. The distance is the same, but the price can be such a big difference, can't it? [fjaril]

On a long haul flight like London to Sydney or Auckland I prefer to go on a good quality comfortable airline that offers stopovers. I do love to find cheap charter flight to a tropical location. When it is just a 12 hour flight I am happy to go on a cheap no frills type of flight. I have been to Mexico on a cheap flight. Coming back from the Maldives I got a free upgrade. I nearly always travel in the economy class. It is sad that many small airlines are going out of business at the moment like Zoom Airlines that used to go to Canada and Excel Airlines that used to go to all sorts of lovely destinations. So I will book a ticket on a large airline that is performing well. I like a decent amount of legroom. I eat before I fly because on the plane I wear ear planes to avoid getting ear pain so eating isn't awfully comfortable. I love traveling and a low airfare means having more money to travel once I get to my destination airport. [maximax8]
thanks for your feedback [ronaldinu]

first we check the airline then the service, followed by the pricehappy.of course the safest is the besthappy [bombshell]

i have never flown in my life but if i was going to [which i;m not lol] i'd go for the cheapest seat they had. [ANTIQUELADY]

hi ronald I would choose the cheapest though it isn't always comfortable depending on which airline you use I think it is a better as all you need is a seat on your flight nothing more...littleowl [littleowl]

Hi Ronaldino, I choose the cheapest possible to get to my destination but my brother being a very tall large built muscular guy pays etc to have more foot room and space as he is not a people person and can't stand to be stuck on a long haul flight and feel uncomfortable and all squished. Ellie :D [ellie333]

I go backwards and forwards from Italy to UK on a cheap flight and find no difference except in the cost of the ticket. It's such a short flight that I feel it's not worth it going on a more costly airline. [mysdianait]

We live in Spain, but always spend Christmas back in the UK with our relatives. We check what's available for the dates we need and then compare the airlines. If there is only a little difference in price, then we go for an extra legroom seat for my husband. This year, I've only recently booked for Christmas, but the airline offering extra legroom wanted almost double the price of the cheaper airline. Needless to say, this year he'll have to suffer! And next year's not looking good either! [sandra966]

i want the cheapest.. i usually dont have much money to spend so saving money is more important to me than anything else [moonlitmagikchild]

Hi ronaldinu, I don't fly much anymore but I've always taken the cheapest flights. Blessings. [Pose123]

It depends who's paying for the airfare ronaldinu! lol I am someone who fly's a LOT so if I am paying for my own tickets I will always try to find a balance between the two wherever possible. The duration of the flight plays a major part in my decision too. If it is a short flight then I will always go for the cheapest option; but if it is longer then I am happy to pay a little more if it means I will have better services or a higher level of comfort. [James72]

I always look for the cheapest flights but I will still be very selective as to which airline I will use. There is one particular airline which does very cheap flights but it takes twenty minutes to walk from the departure area to the boarding gates so I wouldn't use this one again. I don't mind not having meals or movies but I like to have some degree of comfort. [Alexandria37]

With the prices of flying going through the roof, I too search for the cheapest flights possible. I figure in most cases the flights will only be a few hours long at mos and I can do without niceties and movies for that long to save a considerable amount on my tickets. [eeyore39]

I like to have a nice balance; I have flown first-class before and, if it's affordable, I don't mind paying a little extra for the amenities and the perks. But if not, then I have no problem flying in the economy class. It's usually about getting to the destination, although I have to say that I do like the fuss and the whole "process" of flying. I probably look for the amenities first off; then the prices, as long as they are reasonable. [thrwbckjay67]

We haven't travelled overseas for a while, so the only trips we take are domestic - the longest being about four hours. We choose the most convenient time, as we have a three hour drive to the airport, and therefore prefer a flight which leaves after lunch. We're not worried about meals and movies, as we have lunch/dinner at the airport while we're waiting anyway. One of our daughters is a flight attendant, so we like to use her airline when we can. [guybrush]

Hello my friend ronaldinu Ji, I will look into both comparitvely in case it is short duration. But my parents went to US involving almost 24 hrs with one change at London, my brother booked the best Airways British Airways looking into comforts of our parents. have great day.rasp [shalu1975]

lollolI haven't traveled on the plane for many years but when I did I had movies on it and nice meals, I love it and I like to relax on the plane as well, gee I missed flying, my husband hates it so that is why we haven't travelled for so long.sad Tamara [tamarafireheart]

I usually look for cheaper, but if it's too inconvenient, I may go higher. It all depends on the trip and why I am flying. If it's for work and they are covering costs, I will not go expensive but have to make sure I am on time for what I have to do, so I may have to go more expensive to achieve that. [nanajanet]

hi ronaldinu.for me i choose for the cheapest flight but im still looking for a good and safe airline company.. im just save it for the other expenses. [jeleen_tintoy05]

I prefer looking for the bargain flights. They are fine for me. Since I don't do much traveling only to Florida to see my mom it doesn't matter. It's only a 2 1/2 hour flight from NY to Ft Lauderdale so it is fine for me to take a cheap flight. The flight is straight and there usually are enough to pick from. I am planning to go in the next few months so I will be looking for a flight possible before the holidays or right after the new year. [Opal26]

Hi, if it's long distance, say more than 12 hours, I would prefer a more comfortable flight. Other than that, I'd definitely go for those airlines with no-frills! Those that you have to pay for your meals, and so forth. After all, airline meals are not delectable; and if it's a short flight, I would rather eat when I reach my destination. Moreover the savings is tremendous - especially if it's a personal or leisure trips. [lazeebee]

it depends on how long the flight will be. if it's two hours or less, i'll go for the cheapest flight. anything longer than two hours, comfort will be my priority. i have pretty long legs so sitting in a cramp space for more than two hours is pure torture. having entertainment and food distracts me from the discomfort. furthermore, the difference between full-fare and budget airline ticket prices is not much for long flights. so i'll definitely go for comfort when i fly for more than two hours. cheers ;p [applefreak]

hi definitely cheaper flights... why? since i rather spend my money on other things for shopping and food... hehehehe.... [shiloh_222]

i think that the only time that i go on travel, it is right to have the most comfortable things in order to keep a good memory of the holiday.. the good memory is not only where i go but also the way by which i go.. i prefer staying at home rather than having a travel that is not perfect. my best way of travelling is All Inclusive package. [giuliaXD]

If I can have both then my trip is the best.... but if I will choose one then I will choose where I am comfortable...Id rather spend money just to be comfortable. [musicandme]

I donot go at it that way I prefer to tale to people i know and want their impression of how things went and also some travel agencies have many many special bundles that are worthy of my acceptance Good Luck [vmksvmks]

For short flights, up to four hours I will find the cheapest possible because I can bear going without the meals and movies for that short amount of time, but if it's any longer then I look for at least a meal, I am never bothered about movies they never put on anything decent or what I like, I much prefer to have my Ipod on anyhow or read a book. The cheapest possible ticket is what I go for every time, it's just getting from A to B that's all I see it as, the best bit is getting to your destinatiion then I look for the most comfortable! [wolfie34]

when I will bought a ticket from the airline we always go to the airlines in which it would go direct to my wife place in Cebu Philippines to be morelol quicker and faster with convenient way although it is a little bit expensive compare to the ordinary flight but I do not like much connecting flight schedule during the way......wub [iyah10]

well, i nvr travel for a long flights.. so, for me, i will choose the cheap flights instead of comfortable.... [candysky]

I prefer always the good one. The airline company which gives me the good service i always prefer them. If the airline company is good then services is also good and pleased me. If i cant manage then i will go for the cheapest one. [mhrmasum]

Good day... First the reputation and safety of the airlines then the price of course. The cost really counts a lot because the money saved can be used as extra for traveling cost. [blackmantra_x]

I haven't flown since I was little, but when I was looking for a flight for my husband last month we went for the least expensive possible. What's funny is that it actually got him to his destination quicker than the more expensive flights. Go figure! [sacmom]

I cannot afford to fly at all, although several years ago when I could afford to fly, on my trip I picked the cheapest fare. I can make due with some discomfort. It is way better than knowing I spent more money on a few amentities that I won't even be using very long. I couldn't justify the expense what with all my other financial obligations. [AmbiePam]

Sorry but no air linesthumbdown for me I want to stay on the ground and only trains and buses and vehicles. I know they are just as much chance of a accident down on the ground as they are up in the sky if not more of a chance actually. But I will have to take my chancesblush. I am like Mr.T on the A-Team you'd have to drug me to get me on one.rasp.lol [mtdewgurl74]

The only airline I use when flying in Canada is WestJet. They almost always have some kind of seat sale on. I fly to Winnipeg a lot and I have paid anywhere between $250 and $600 return. So I always search out the best price now and fly when it is cheaper. I don't really like Air Canada because of all the things about their finances, I hear on the news. I don't trust them. So I have to say I fly the cheapest flight I can find which is almost always with WestJet. Alrighty then, talk to you later my friend, Have a good mylotting day, Chris [chrislotz]
