Fly Me

The last time that I flew anywhere was last october when I flew home from Singapore. When was the last time that you took a flight?

[question posted by p1kef1sh]

responses and comments:

the lastime i took a flight was march 2006 from philippines, which was my very first time to ride on a airplane.. too scared.. [yuriyuuki1213]
yes.. too scary.. that until now i cant forget.. the way my ear aches.. i just want to sleep eventhough im not sleepy.. [yuriyuuki1213]

I have never flew before unless you count my temper flying off..lolrasp Seriously I am way to much of a chicken..bock..bock..to get on a airplane. It is just to far off the ground for my liking..I know it is a safe way to travel, but to many back flashes of plane wrecks, bombings, hijackings for me to be to comfortable with it, well that and my fear of heights..lolrasp [mtdewgurl74]
Well he would have to have a pretty thick sole to that shoe then otherwise he would have nothing but a stub left if that..lol it probably gets easier..I guess I take my fear of flying after Mr.T on the A-Team..they always had to knock him out with stuff to get him on a plane..lolwhistleblink [mtdewgurl74]

Never! I have only ever flown in my dreams but that was more floating than flying. It's quite nice until I stop floating in my dream and feel like I've fallen or am about to fall out of bed. But I have never flown in real life! [pumpkinjam]
Ouch. Don't bump your head when you fall out of bed Pumpkin. I have floated and flown in my dreams. I wish that I could in real life. [p1kef1sh]

The last time I took a flight, it was to come home from Missouri. I remember that I had my first cup of Starbucks in months and couldn't stop talking to one of the other girls who was flying home that day as well. I also remember loading up my bag full of books and magazines to read on the flight back. Asides from all of that, I remember that I sat next to two young kids in the back of the plane. It wasn't the most pleasant flight that I've had, but I was happy to be headed home. [Elegant7]
Going home is (nearly) always good. That sounds like quite fun flight. [p1kef1sh]

Hi P1kef1sh, the last time I flew was November 2007 when I popped over to se my mum in Spain, I used to fly a lot more but now my son at school and the only time off is school holidays it is so expensive too then. Huggles. Ellie :D [ellie333]
No they still haven't managed to sell, think they want too much to be quite honest as I got someone offer them a good pice plus they could stay living there fo a small rent each month too so now stress and hassle of moving so leaving them to it all now and just advertising for them but forwarding their number, parents eh as bad as the kids at times LOL. Huggles. Ellie :D [ellie333]

Its was many many suns ago my friend. As I got closer to the sun, I could feel the heat radiating from it, Suddenly I smelt a burning smell. Low and behold my streamlined broom bristles had caught on fire. Alas I have been unable to fly since.lol [Goodie123]
My favorite Warlock. XXX [Goodie123]

In December I flew to and from the Hawaiian Islands. It was a sad flight home. We were not ready to leave just yet. [makingpots]
Oh yes, we are constantly thinking about when our next trip out there will be. I remember watching Hawaii 5-0 as a kid. Jack Lord's mom lived in the little town I was living in at the time. [makingpots]

lolwell,i was told to fly to hell yesterday.i said something whhich (i dont remember what)aggravated my hubby .but seriously,i look a flight last april to go to kerala(inside india only).i have never flown overseas........ [riyasam]
oh,i did tell him,i was experiencing hell right where i was and he was immediately apologetic.i was angry and was also joking.(he didnt know that).yup, there are many beautiful places in india.i havent seen half of them...... [riyasam]

The last time I took a flight was last December when I had just finished a travel in Taiwan. It was about late afternoon. From the window, I had a very good view of the clouds, sometimes through the clouds to the sea and hills along the coast. Before it turned dark, I was lucky to take a perfect photo of the sunset at the horizon. I feel great, I made it. [zhuhuifen46]
That sounds beautiful. Thank you. [p1kef1sh]

The last flight I took was around 8 month's ago and it was to Washington D.C via New York from Cairo. A few weeks prior to that I had to fly to Istanbul and a week or so before that, I was in London. I used to travel constantly for work, but the last 8 months have been pretty quiet on that front. I couldn't be happier! happy [James72]
Oh,it is so pity!I have never had a flight....... [ctrlor]

Hi p1kef1sh, It was about 3 years ago on a family holiday to and from Spain but at the end of the year I'm about to fly again, to the same place but with no kids in tow, for my big 4...0 and some of my close friends, only for a few days...I can't wait! [scorpio19]
oh yes most definitely girls only and yes I will inform them I'm on my way... so they can either close the bars or get more staff in...lol.. I'm really looking forward to going and been without my kids, I've never left them for any length of time before but they are growing up now..teenagers... so this is also a little thank you to myself for bringing them up on my own and having three kids I'm very proud of. [scorpio19]

I think 2years ago is the last time I flew. That is when I vacationed in Antigua. I am scared of flying so I dont fly as much as I want to. [luvmysons]
Are you OK when you are up. Or is it all nerve wracking the whole way through. [p1kef1sh]

last time? in 2007 when I flew to and from New Jersey to hopefully see my cousin before he died and to see family Honestly, its probably the last time I'll go to New Jersey [ElicBxn]
It is a beautiful state, my sister is very happy there [ElicBxn]

I have only flown a couple of times. the last time I flew, was in 1997. I had to take a trip to Florida because someone in the family died. [stephcjh]
What a sad reason Steph. [p1kef1sh]

Hi p1, My last fly was last Feb, it was my trip coming here in the US.....It was fun but experienced several cancellation of flights... [checapricorn]
But what an adventure Checapicorn. [p1kef1sh]

1995, I flew to see my friend, got violently ill and couldn't take the return flight home. Ever since then, I've had a funny feeling about flying and so I don't. LOL! [Irishfrndly65]
NOPE, LOL! It was 45 min flight down sw Texas. LOL! I've never been in your neck of the woods, love. Someday...I will even if I have to fly on an eagles back! ;) [Irishfrndly65]

oh my god the last time I took a flight any where I was going to California. Pacifica to be exact to visit my cousin and my great aunt I was in 9th grade. So it's been a long time and now I'm terrified of flying... I'm going to seriously be majorly drug to get on a plan to go to Ireland LOL!!! [bellaofchaos]
It's not nearly so frightening once you are up. It's getting there that takes the courage though! I shall be thinking of you. I think that there was a spelling mistake though. Your wrote Ireland, but I think that you meant England! LOL. [p1kef1sh]

Last time I flew was in March of 2007 when I went back to Arizona after finding the house I wanted here. I went back and bought my house through a flurry of faxes and overnight deliveries, wound up my affairs there and packed up. I probably won't be flying again anytime soon. How was Singapore? Is it a beautiful city, are the people nice? [dragon54u]
No, but I'll have to make some time to do that. I love reading about travel experiences since I do so little of it. [dragon54u]

never... will you lose weight and breath as on land? Tell me more! [zhontine]
No. You are OK when you are flying. [p1kef1sh]

hiya Pikey Only time i've been flying is when i've had a few too many lol. seriosuly i've never flown in my puff! i did have the chance to go when i was younger on a school trip, mum even managed to get the deposit together so i thought i was gaurunteed to be going. Unfortunately she couldn't manage to get the rest of the cash so i had to miss out.. poor wee me aih? :( [Aliceinwebland]
I'm not too good with heights, feeling sick with that description alone! who knows, maybe one day. ps you were very tactful there, after missing me! lol [Aliceinwebland]

The last time that I got on a plane was 20 years ago when I went on my last holiday with my parents and we went to disneyland Florida. We are supposed to be going on a plane this year, in september I am not looking forward to it one bit the thought of it scares the life out of me. [gemini_rose]
Flying often frightens people Gemini. But it is easy once you get up there. Just relax and enjoy the view. [p1kef1sh]

It's been a while, about 4 years for me. I love the take off and landing, but the rest of the flight I can do without, especially if I don't get a window seat. I guess I'm a bit claustrophobic. On the last flight from Chicago to Oklahoma City, a one hour flight turned into 6 hours. There was some kind of air pressure problem in the cabin, so the plane had to fly back to Chicago. Only, once we got there we had to circle the city for over an hour to use up fuel first, the plane was too heavy to land. Finally, once landed there was a several hour delay while another place was made available. Hanging around airports is like being in an ant colony...lol [catdla1]
I hate hanging around airports. They are just bus stations with smart stores! LOL. What a trip that must have been. [p1kef1sh]

My last fly was about two years back.Like you I flew home from Singapore. My wife was with me.That time we also visited Malysia.Singapore is a nice city.I visited few Asian countries.I never gone to Europe.I have a wish to visit UK.British ruled us for about two hundred years.I want to see in my own eyes the mighty British people who ruled us for two centuries. But I respect British and European culture.I have no interest to visit US.I have no enough money. So my dream will remain as dream.Thank you. [bhanusb]
I am afraid that if you came here you might be disappointed. I suspect that apart from the castles etc, you have more British history from the Raj in your country. [p1kef1sh]

:::singing::: fly me to the moon, let me play among the stars..... Ahh, I love Frank. The last time I was on a plane was from the Dominican Republic to NC then from NC to PA last August. I was so happy to get out of the DR that I didn't even need meds to board the flight. lol I will be on another flight this August to Jamaica :) I can't wait. [cynicalandoutspoken]
You're a sunshine girl Cyn. "In other words be true, in other words I love you......." [p1kef1sh]

Hi p1key, The last time I flew was about four years ago when we went to Spain for our holidays and flew back, I do enjoy flying, just loves to sit next to the window and look out as its taking off or landing, just love, but don't think I will be going abroad again though but if I do go nest time I go with friends and no hubb as he is a pain in butt to travel with. Hugs. Tamara xxxx [tamarafireheart]
LOL. He does get some stick your hubby Tamara. XXXX [p1kef1sh]

Well I just got back on Wednesday from California so i guess that I flew fairly recently lol. This was only the 2ns time i ever flew anywhere. [minnie_98214]
Okay then technically its my 4th flight. I went to Florida years ago. [minnie_98214]

It was 3 or 4 years ago when I was flying to Georgia from Fort Wayne. [Cillysophie]
Did you enjoy it? [p1kef1sh]

excuse me mr. fish sir, can you reply to response number 20 perchance? lol [Aliceinwebland]
Always leave the best to last Alice! LOL. [p1kef1sh]

Last October when I was coming back home form Europe. I was traveling last year a lot, unfortunately, not for pleasure. I took 3 separate trips to Europe last year. [polachicago]
yes, I needed to work on my contracts in USA and in the other hand I needed to be with my mother in Europe....she was terminally ill, so my trips were not for pleasure. [polachicago]

my last flight was march 2006happy.i dont miss the flying but i miss my country specialy the whole year warmwink [bombshell]
compare last january and march to day is harmless.we had minus 18-23 degrees but today suppose to be spring, sunshine but cold and windyrolleyes [bombshell]

It's been about 18 months or so since I flew. I went to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. My mother lives there. That's the only place I fly to anymore. [ersmommy1]
At least it's warm and sunny there. [p1kef1sh]

hi p1ke its 20 years ago or so and it was a flight to the USA back then, for Vacations in Sunny California. [book1962]
I know you do and I bet you will have a great time there. [book1962]

Day after tomorrow? But before that it was the weekend of December 6th. Flew down to LA to visit a friend and run away from home for a bit... [dawnald]
Now would be the time to come too. Beautiful, warm, clear weather, not too many tourists, no rain, no snow (perish the thought). Yep I'll have a great time. Thanks! [dawnald]

Hi p1ke, that's something I've never done. I've never been on an airplane before. I've been lucky enough to be able to drive wherever I've wanted to go so really no need to fly as of yet. I say lucky because frankly the thought of being that high in the air terrifies me. If I absolutely had to do it I would but it would have to be an emergency situation! [craftcatcher]
It's not that frightening once you've done it. But I readily understand the apprehension. It's not natural. Mind you, I guess that driving along at 60 mph or faster isn't either. But we still do it. I hope that emergency never arises. Take care. [p1kef1sh]

The last and only time that I flew on a plane was when I was 16 back in the mid- 80's. It was a short flight from Dallas to Houston in Texas. I don't think the prices or the planes are the same. So, what was Singapore like and did you have a nice flight? Hope, you had a nice time! **Peace and Love get's you through everything in Life** [Carpathian]
I wouldn't be too surprised if the planes weren't the same. But the prices are different. Over here you can fly places for pennies at times! Singapore was wonderful. Warm, Vibrant, Friendly, Exotic, Colourful, Food to die for, Cultural and I would love to go back. [p1kef1sh]

Hey p1key! The last time I took a flight was befor 9/11! It was about a year before, I think? I am supposed to be going to visit my mother in Florida which is only a 2 1/2 hour flight, but I am deathly afraid to fly! So just the mere thought of entering an airplane makes me sick! And being that the airplane that landed in the Hudson River with the birds sucked up in the engine left from Laguadia Airport in New York is the airport I leave from is not very convincing for me to take my flight either! Unless the Captain that made that flight and became a hero is flying the plane, I don't want to go! [Opal26]
LOL. There must be thousands of flights every year from that airport Opal. One in all that number had an accident. You will be absolutely fine. Remember, the pilot doesn't want to crash any more than you do. [p1kef1sh]

My last trip was also last year, October 29-Nov1 which was from Manila to Singapore wink Hoping I can go back to Singapore again this summer happy [sophie_dfuss]
I hope so too. But I'm not sure right now. [p1kef1sh]

I have never taken a flight at all. I hope the opportunity will be coming soon. [venchaul]
I hope that it does. [p1kef1sh]

It was last November and I flew to UK. It was mother's ninetieth birthday and my sister was at mother's too. First time I had seen my sister in a long time as she is in USA. I fly to mother's twice a year usually, at least until she is as fit as a fiddle. [mysdianait]
Yes sir! blush [mysdianait]

Hmmm I have not flown for a few years now. The last time was 2 years ago when I flew down to attend my nephew's wedding. My brother very kindly paid the fair for me so I could attend. I would love to visit them more often but it is a huge trip for me these days, costs a lot in energy and money and they are all very busy at the other end so I would not see much of them unless they were on holiday. They could come up and see me but no one has done that yet.blink [sharra1]
Quite true. I have two brothers. The eldest keeps in touch and keeps promising to come and visit one day. The other one lives 5 mins away from the eldest and almost never visits him. He really keeps to himself. I am quite happy with my life here and have no wish to go back to the city. I do sometimes wonder how I would manage if it was just me but hopefully that will not be a problem for many years yet. [sharra1]

I don't do planes. I'm afraid of heights. [camomom]
Maybe someday I'll try it but for now, I'll stay grounded. [camomom]

Hi p1kef1sh, Last time I took a flight was 1998 from USA back home here in the Philippines. I really miss riding on an airplane. sad [margaux08]
I hope that you get another chance soon Margaux. [p1kef1sh]

The last time I flew was several years ago. I went home to see my children. I was so excited. Then I got in line to check in and I realized I actually had to get on a plane and I hadn't been on one in years. I froze and was terrified. When the plane took off, I literally gripped the arms of the seat. Of course, I got through it and the flight home was a lot less frightening. [kbourgerie]
I think that standing on the ground waiting for the flight is always more frightening than actually flying. I am not too fond of take-off. But everything else is fine. The great thing is that you got to see your children. [p1kef1sh]

It is about six months back when I flew to a city called Cochin for an interview conducted by my company. [balasri]
Surprising coincidence.Yeah it is a small world.happy [balasri]

Oh wow! You just made me think, that I haven't flown for about 10 years. We used to fly so regularly, 3-4 times a year visiting different countries and exploring them. We did it so much, that we thought we would take a break from it. Didn't think it would be this long though lol- Derek [derek_a]
Life happens Derek. I used to fly very frequently, but don't miss it now that I'm not. [p1kef1sh]

hi pike.the last flight i took was a few weeks ago from newcastle to the gold coast of Queensland.I wish it was international, but alas it was just interstate.we had a holiday.the cheap airfares we sometimes get are really good,it is a lot cheaper to fly than drive,so i am going to queensland in 2 weeks time to see a friend and it only cost me $60.00 return.you nrver know they may have a good special to the u.k and i might end up on your door step.cheers sue [suehan1]
You'd be very welcome Sue. When we were in Singapore I toyed with the idea of flying down to Perth. It was about $60 too. Maybe next time. But I'd still have to get across to you though. Have a great trip to your friend. [p1kef1sh]

pike, i have never flown in my life & don't intend to start at this late date. lol. it's a great wat to travel if you like to travel but i don't. [ANTIQUELADY]
i have heard. have a friend that has to travel in his work & he talks like flying is a big hassle anymore. i'll just take y'alls for that. lol [ANTIQUELADY]

I have never, ever been on a plane. I've been in a helicopter a couple of times, but I can't bring myself to fly on a plane. [earthsong]
I love flying in helicopters and it has been my good fortune to have flown in quite a few. Far better than a plane in my opinion - although noisier too. [p1kef1sh]

I am looking forward to my first flight! The only time I have flown was in a helicopter, but it was as a patient from Toledo, OH to the Cleveland Clinic!! Not the best way to fly and it was almost 13 years ago! [idowrite72]
No, not the best way. I hop that you fly soon in a less dramatic way. [p1kef1sh]

For Me,Last Month I flew to London for a couple of days to meet my new baby Nephew and catch up with my Brother and the rest of his family...happy [ShepherdSpy]
That sounds good. I hope that you enjoyed yourself. [p1kef1sh]

Heyyy.. you been to Singapore? cool.. I'm from that tiny island Singapore. The last time I took a flight was very long ago.. ABout 2 or 3 years back. Went to Java, Indonesia. [zahfran]
Yes I was there. I have family in Katong. [p1kef1sh]

My last flight was in January 2009. It was from London to Cape Town. The flight took 12 hours and was delayed flying out there due to fog. I got a window seat and my toddler son luckily was able to sit on the seat next to me. The seats were fairly comfortable but leg room wasn't awfully generous. [maximax8]
That's the worst of long haul flights. Especially in Jumbo Jets for some reason. They can be quite uncomfortable. But I bet you were relieved that you son could sit next to you rather than on your lap. [p1kef1sh]

Last time I had to fly was in January of 2008. I had to fly home for a funeral of the oldest family member who passed away at 96 years old. It took just over an hour to fly from Seattle washington to Lewiston Idaho. [ds6413]
It was really sad because she was the last link to our past. She knew the man who saved our family and others from total annilation. We are Native American and our native language is almost dead now only a few know it fluently, my mom and her sister and my other other aunt and an uncle and Some others from the tribe My uncle is a historian and he knows the history very well of many families from our tribe. My oldest family member knew what is was like to be alive when we were not even counted as American. [ds6413]

um..1997. i moved back to the east coast to take care of my dad. as a whole,i try to avoid flying whenever possible. number one,it's more expensive.. number two..i don't like flying in general. however, last time i flew i had one of my cats with me,and the stewardesses were sneaking him tuna fish the whole ride. spoiled catlol [scarlet_woman]
they were totally fauning over him. the funny thing was the guy behind me said "i wanna be a cat in my next life" lol [scarlet_woman]

yep I love to fly at nite... its soo peaceful and then you land in ncy ..lol,I get to lite up in first class you never know who you will meet it's a blast;) [mrgavediger]
I have met some interesting people on flights. Everyone from night club owners to pop stars (Elvis Costello). [p1kef1sh]

The last time i flew any where was about four years ago when i flew to Arizona(us) to see my cousins. I was supposed to stay a month but was treated so horrible by my cousins mom...i left after two weeks. [pheonixstar1982]
I would recommend it...just know its really really really hot in the summer time...i got seriously dehydrated to the point i was sick...but it does have some beautiful scenery. [pheonixstar1982]

I have only flown once in my life and that was from chattanooga (teh Atlanta airport) to New York city for my twenty-first birthday. I found that I love flying and could do this as part my job. I even enjoyed getting delayed and then missing my flight on the way home and getting to take a first class seat courtesy of another airline after waiting in the airport for a day. I discovered the airport is a very enjoyable place to hang out. [csrobins]
I am not too fond of airports, but you had a great experience by the sounds of it. Thanks for sharing. [p1kef1sh]

That was February last year when I went back home from China. [nympha687]
That must have been exciting. [p1kef1sh]

Oh there was a time when I flew to nyc from la and we have a Lighting storm an circle yankee stadium for an hour.... before landing mmm..to fine out we had no landing gear..lolol [mrgavediger]
That must have raised the heartbeat a tad! In the 50s my dad was a passenger in a 4 engined aircraft over New Mexico. They lost all four engines in a sandstorm and that caused some agitation not to say new underwear. [p1kef1sh]

My last flight was March 10 of this year 2009. I had my holiday spent in Bangkok with some of my friends. We stayed in Suk11 Hostel. It was a wonderful vacation though it was very short. I managed to visit the Chatuchak Wednesday Market, and I bought so many tropical plants to add to my collection. I am planning to go back there by November of this year to buy some plants. [MisterPlus]
Sounds like a Gardening holiday. How wonderful to be able to bring those plants back - we are forbidden to import such things here. [p1kef1sh]

Hey there! The last time that I did was in the year 2005. That is a very long time ago. Have a nice day. Happy posting!! [AltheGreat2430]
That's a few years ago. Thank you. [p1kef1sh]

My last flight was September 2008 from Hong Kong to Australia. My next planned flights are Melbourne to Bali (return) in September/October 2009, Melbourne to Queensland (return) sometime in 2010, and Melbourne to Las Vegas sometime in 2011, which will then mark the beginning of a round the world trip with any luck. [kriszelunka]
I am impressed by your planning. I struggle to think more than about a week ahead! Your round the world trip sounds very exciting. [p1kef1sh]

Not even once! I haven't even seen the insides of a plane. Terrible, eh? And I don't think I will ever. ;) Cheers and happy Mylotting [positiveminded1977]
Really? I always thought that you'd have a history of travel behind you. LOL. [p1kef1sh]

That is simply not true p1ke honey - you have flights of fancy every time I speak to you! lol If you are talking flights on an aeroplane then it is more than 3 years since I flew to Gibraltar to see my brother - it would be nice to believe I could make a visit this year with David and the kids but we shall have to wait and see! xxx [mummymo]
Nope it wasn't me sweetheart - I wish I lived there though - but on the Spanish side - best of both worlds! As for you stealing the taxi I wish you had - I was still in it! xxxx [mummymo]

Hi there p1kf1sh The last time I flew was to Scotland for my brother's Wedding which was late December (2 days after crimbo) 2007, so quite some time ago! [Humbug25]
I supose it wasn't too long ago and yes it was a good knees up! [Humbug25]

Oh boy, P1ke, you asked a difficult one. Many years ago I moonlighted as an attendant on a private jet. The company flew Celebrities from here to there. Among those celebs were Jackie Onassis, Barbara Eden ('I Dream of Jeannie'), Cardinal Cooke of New York and many others. I had a business at the time, and the last flight that I was asked to work I was unable to. The flight was from Allentown, PA., to San Juan and a return via Chicago and Pittsburgh. The plane crashed, P1ke, somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico. Both the pilot and co-pilot lost their lives. The pilot, Jim Cheek, was a friend and customer of mine. Likewise, his wife was a personal friend and customer. They had two young sons, probably in their 40s by now. I never got over it; I never flew again. That was more than 30 years ago. Memo to self: And, RJ, chances are you WILL never fly again, unless you're flying high with a couple too many Natural Lights. (C) 2009 RJScott [rjscott]
Equally sad, P1ke. I guess that means if one doesn't have the proper credentials (after the fact), the crime can be excused. Pity! [rjscott]

I guess it was November of last year and it was just within our country. I don't know when will I take a flight again. I am planning actually to take a vacation this Holy Week and probably I will be taking another flight. [dorisday1971]
I hope that you enjoy that flight Doris. Whip crack away....! LOL. [p1kef1sh]

The last time I took a flight was July 2008 when I moved finally to Bermuda my new island home. I honestly do not like flying, but don't have a choice [gtdonna]
If I live on Bermuda I'd not want to fly again either Donna! [p1kef1sh]

The last time I flew was January 2005, coming home from a girlie holiday to the Canary Islands. I am trying to plan a holiday abroad but its proofing more difficult than I imagined. finding the the right time, place to go, and something that is suitable for my budget. BF is thinking off a mini cruise somewhere, I really like the idea. [cinderella2007]
We have booked a mini cruise to bruges for his birthday which is under 4 weeks away!! eek....now have to organise packing and things!! Might have to write a packing list lol [cinderella2007]

I have flown many times. My children will be flying soon. They are traveling for Spring Break. I am planning to fly home soon. I enjoy flying. [royal52gens]
I don't mind the flying, but I wish that it didn't involve airports! Enjoy your trip. [p1kef1sh]

The last flight I took was Manila-Boracay-Manila last September 2008. I remember that there was a typhoon that time but luckily I arrived to Boracay safely. [bubbletush]
Gosh. That was lucky. I'm pleased that you were OK. [p1kef1sh]

I've never flown on a commercial airline, but my dad had a plane. It was an old Taylorcraft. He liked to do aerial photography, so sometimes he'd take the doors off the plane so he could get unobstructed pictures. Once I flew with him, and the doors were off. I gripped the seat and realized my seatbelt was torn off. I never flew again after that. [KATRINKA]
That must have been scary. I have flown in helicopters without a seat belt. But in a light aircraft. Real daredevil stuff. [p1kef1sh]

Hi p1ke, the last time I flew must of been at about 10yrs ago when I went to Africa and back but that was the 5th time in a row..Africa feels like my second home..littleowl [littleowl]
Sometimes we forget how fortunate we are over here LoLo. Even the poorest over here has access to facilities that millions around the world would love ti have. Clean running Water and heat just by turning on the gas/electric. Actually, just to have a roof over their heads. XXXX [p1kef1sh]

Hmmm...come to think of it it's been 5 years since my last flight as my passport will be expiring in April? Hahaha!~lolDang, can't even use my passport now even if I wanted to unless I renew itwhistle [zweeb82]
Haha!~lolThat's why I was asking earlier why the "no traveling 6 months before passport expires" rule. I guess it's a worldwide thingywhistle [zweeb82]

The last time I flew somewhere was when i flew home from Phoenix in May of 2008. Between January of 2007, and May of 2008 I flew between Toronto and Phoenix three times, and between August 08 and November 08 Hubby did it twice. Between the two of us, we really know our way around both airports. [danishcanadian]
They're big airports too. I like small ones but they invariably don't fly where I want to go! [p1kef1sh]

The last time I took a flight was January, 2010....We flew back home to Bangalore after our trip to Jaipur. [SViswan]
Yes, we flew down to Jaipur as well. Most of our trips to our hometown, we drive down (10 hours each way). But on a holiday, I prefer less stress while travelling especially with the little one. A journey by train to Jaipur would probably have taken us 2 days. [SViswan]
