Do you like planning for vacations? or are you the type who could just pack their bags and let your feet decide where to go?
Have you planned your next vacation?
I actually have, but it's not somewhere far, but instead I'll be spending a few days with someone on a very nice resort here in my place. I'm quite excited for it.
How about you?

Hehehehe.. That's cool! I could never be like that though, I'd be like cramming a whole lot. [laydee]
Hi Laydee, I hope you have a wonderful time. When I am planning a holiday it takes a lot of time. Last year my Asian trip involved 14 different flights and 8 different hotels. This year I am still not sure what I will do but I have to decide soon and start again with the detailed planning work. The only thing for sure is that it will again be in Asia.. [Colmuc]
Hi Laydee, I love Asia with it's many different cultures and beautiful landscapes. Such a variety of everything. The people are friendly and kind although in many cases they are very poor. The food is fantastic! The one exception is Bali. It was a wonderful place several years ago but a limited number of greedy dishonest people and an inefficient, uninterested civic administration have totally spoiled it. Fortunately there are many other super places and I have still never been in the Philippines. [Colmuc]
I think half of the fun of vacation is the planning! I am always putting together plans for our next vacation. We are headed to Niagara Falls and the Finger Lakes region of NY for a long 4th of July weekend. I have been trying to put together details to get to Niagara for a couple of years now. We were finally able to fit it in! We went to Europe for 2 weeks in the fall of 2007. As soon as we got back, we started making tentative plans for a trip in 2010! We have been picking out places and arranging dates for about a year and a half. Everyone thinks we are crazy, but it will be an amazing trip and we cant wait to go! [derlilaStern]
I use to be huge on just taking off and goin on road trips but that was before kids and such...now planning is needed not just because of hte kids but due to money and of course the house and all my pets etc.. [Ravenladyj]
Going for trips or vacations needs planning, in my opinion. We have to plan ahead roughly the places we're going to visit, what's the nice food we've to try, or what's the specialties of it which can't be missed. Besides, the place to stay, how long i want to stay and the budget for the trip is another important things to take care and planned before going for a vacation. So, usually it takes me a few weeks of planning before going for vacations and actually i'm going with my group of friends more often and they're the one who make the decision, so i'll leave the planning work for them, haaha. [aikhong]
Hehehhee.. truly planning creates stress! My boyfriend and I will be having a vacation next week, and I've been planning it (since it's in my area, he's visiting) and I'm all stressed out, but I try not to. Whew! Just too excited! [laydee]
I have our summer vacation planned already. I have three children and to just pick up and go somewhere would be really hard. I need to plan things financially and schedule wise. I am taking them for 10 days to a camp this year in a beautiful place that we have been so lucky to have gone to for the last couple years. I can't afford to travel too far and we are lucky that this trip is basically free so it is awesome. [vicki2876]
On my way home from South Africa this January I decided to think about other must see cities on my travel wish list. I put the idea of going to Vancouver in my head. I know that Canada Day is 1st July so it would be superb to be over there for that. So my next trip I am planing for late June and early July to Canada. Sometimes I just have enough of everyday life for example in the winter when the weather is miserable. Then I book a last minute flight and off I go. I am an independent traveler and always buy a flight, then book accommodation when I get there. I travel around a region and stay in at least five different places. [maximax8]
Decide to visit Alaskan Cruse this summer, in August. Heard of it a lot and now guess talk to my agent and go for it. Soon i will talk to my Traveling agent and pack my bag to enjoy Alaskan Cruse this summer, in August.Asking you all to visit it too. Its simply great. Hope to meet you guys there. Enjoy [sidthestar]
Due to financial trouble I unable to plan this vacation. I lost financially and emotionally as well . Due to this there is no meaning of vacation in my life. [neerajpandey_13]
You could just try to get out of where you are at right now, perhaps a breathe of fresh air would do you good in order for you to overcome the depression you are in right now. Vacations need not be expensive, going to the province or visiting a prospective place for employment or just to visit a friend would do you good. Who know, opportunity might come. [laydee]
Me and my girlfriend were planning on going on a cruise later this year. Never been on one, so I can't wait. We are also planning to go to Las Vegas next year. Again, I have never been and Vegas is definitely a place I want to go. Mainly because I am a Poker player. [Yiazmat]
Hey I love to.... I love packing and travelling. I generally make up a long trip once in a year. It will be really refreshing to your mind and body. I have just done with my trip two months before. So haven't planned for another. Will take some time.... [PinkyPosh]
I am sneaking in a vacation when I take my state exam for teaching. Instead of taking it at the local test site I choose to take it at a test site that is near my sister on the other side of the state and stay for a week to visit and relax. [okkidokitokki]
Yeah, that's a good way to go on vacation without incurring too much cost! Good luck on the state exam for teaching! [laydee]
Uhhh, not precisely because i work on a permanent basis and i do not get leaves from work. I december, i shall be a confirmed employee and then, i can take my leaves. But december is a bit far i think. Perhaps, after getting my leaves, i shall decide about my next vacation. I badly need vacation in any case. Have been working from the past 1 and a half year without taking leaves. [moujha]
i'm planning to go to tourist spot or to my friend's hometown [dmaztfx09]
I always plan and know where my next vacation is! My next is Venice that is planned although there may be a trip to Jamaica too although that is not definite yet because of the person I am travelling with not knowing if they can definitely go! x [frankiecesca]
I have my plans already for my next vacation, and that will be on September 20 2009 in Puerto Galera here in the Philippines. That will be our 1st Year Anniversary with my wife and my 2 month old son. Hopefully by that time he is already 7 month old. Can't wait for that day as this will be the first time that me and my wife together with my son will be out of town for a vacation. The vacation will last for only 4 days but hopefully I can request for another day off from work so that I can extend my vacation to a full 5 days. [marlon1975]
Oh yeah that's good! I do hope you'll get an extra day for your family. [laydee]
I have no many vacations to travel. Even if in vacation, I have to do more housework or care about my little daughter. Maybe, it's different from your viewpoit. [betsyhu]
Yes, I absolutely love planning family vacations. I am usually the one who suggests where to go for our vacation. After they agree, I usually plan the itinerary by doing thorough research. I also handle the booking, hotels, etc. I prefer planning rather than spontaneous traveling because I don't want anything to go wrong with my vacations. I want my vacations to be perfect. I just got back from a vacation. So far, our next family vacation is early next year already since we just got back from our this year's vacation. Because it is still far off, I haven't started planning it yet. Also, I don't want to plan it yet because of the swine flu thing. [zzyw87]
Yes I have planned my nest vacation.I have planned to go to Himachal Pradesh and see the Himalayan ranges.I am going to visit the famous Hill resorts of Simla and Kullu Manli in July.I am looking forward to this trip very eagerly because I have been waiting to see the Himalayas for a long time.happy [balasri]
well i dont plan any thing before it depends on my leave if i get leave from my work then well i am off on some vacation with friends or if at that time all are busy then i make a move to some of my cousins place who are far away from me [vijayanandp]
I am allways exciting about vactions. Because it means I can have a lot of time to do whatever I want to do and don't need to much of homework as in the school. As to this vacation, I plan to go travel in some places that I am longing to go for a long time and go to visit some famous universties to realise my dreams of enjoying the different culture and great sceneries in different places. In additon, I am going to find a firm that can offer me a job and work there as an intent. However, I think it is very difficult for me to get a job as an intent in a firm, because I am too shy and don't have enough confidence to do whatever I want to do.It seems that is impossible for me to fullfil the two vovational plans. I feel that I don't have enough courage to do whatever I wish to do in my life and I am extremely sad about ii and quite worry about my future. [20062010]
planning for vacations is actually a process that is quite fun. i imagine where i will be and what are the things i do. i usually start planning as early as three months before the vacation itself. there was only once that i went on a vacation spontaneously. it was a short trip to a neighbouring country. we just packed our bags, picked up our passports and headed to the agency to get the earliest air tickets. it was quite fun too but i guess i won't be doing it again. [applefreak]
firstly, sorry about the picture. it was for another discussion that i was replying to at the same time. sadly the picture didn't manage to turn up there but up here instead. guess it's age and the lifestyle i'm used to. i did the unplanned vacation when i still didn't mind spending the night on a bench. we got ourselves a hotel room only when we arrived there. if there were no room available, we'd most probably be sleeping on a chair in the airport. however, i need at least something soft to spend the night on now. so that's why i won't be doing it again. blushblush [applefreak]
I normally have to plan most of my holidays about a year in advance, what is a must if I want to secure a few days off for Christmas or new years when there is a bigger demand. I have no clue yet where I will do with one of the blocks, keeping the rest to visit my relatives as part of them don't live in the same country. [overwings]
I really like planning my vacations. I like to look at maps and to think about the places that I would like to visit. My fiance and I started planning our next vacation a while ago. We are going to visit Lithuania and Latvia in July this year. We have bought our train and bustickets and we also made hostel reservations. There are still some things that we need to do before we go, but it is nice that we don't have to worry about tickets and hostels, now we can concentrate on the interesting preparations like reading about the history and the sights and learning a bit of the language. [Porcospino]
That's good planning. [laydee]
i've been planning my vacation for the last 3 months and i'll be going to melbourne for a holiday in 2 weeks time. woohoo! w00t [kevsgirlalways]
wohwooo!!!! hehehehe.. Good for you! [laydee]
vacation?? in this economy? we can barely make ends meet and are hanging on by a thread. paying our monthly bills is a struggle so no, there will be no vacations any time for the unforeseen future. anyone who can afford a vacation has nothing to worry about in my book. [mikeysmom]
yes sure,i will go on london and liverpool [viperblck]
hey laydee! me and my officemates are planning to go on a vacation again, i think in October. the last vacation we had was last month. we do not always plan this early. sometimes, we would just feel like going on a trip on the coming weekend and its already Tuesday or Wednesday. sometimes, we like it better if we do it in a hurry because everything goes according to plan. we seldom plan very early because sometimes, it doesn't push through or it doesn't go well. for our October trip, we planned this very early because there was a promo on the airline ticket and we just had to grab it. ^^ we have to take care first of the transportation since its the most important thing in traveling. for the accommodation, food and all that, we would plan it maybe early October or late September. ^^ [secretbear]
Good for you! My daughter and I have the trip of our lifetime planned for next month. It's part fun and part work related. Otherwise, we'd never be able to afford it. I think getting away on vacation is important. You don't have to do anything fancy but everyone needs a break from stress and routine. May you enjoy every minute of your getaway!:0) [gaylesglimpses]
I have a general ideal where I am going but I have not made the reservations yet. We are not taking out next vacation until November 2010. My husband wants me to look and see if any other time will be cheaper and we will just take my granddaughter out of school. She will be in 3rd grade but my kids have told me when they were in school parents were always taking their kids out of school to go on vacation. They were even in high school when they were doing that. [sharlahodges]
I hate vacations. To me a vacation would be being alone or mostly alone and staying on the internet for long hours and maybe doing something fun, yet productive. I do not like going away. I don't see the point plus there's hassles and money to be spent I think it's all dumb. I am going to Orlando and doing the whole Disney thing with my family though in June. I can't believe I have to do this either. I don't even like my extended family we are going with. It's gonna suck soo bad. I will be very happy when it's over. The one thing I do like about vacations is the traveling. I like to fly and even drive if I'm driving. I also enjoy hotels a lot. [csrobins]
Well, my husband and I would really Love to go to NYC again, and so we have been slowly trying to plan it by looking at the flight prices, schedules, hotel prices, etc. and plan from there. We have set aside some $$ to be able to do this, but not sure when we are going to do so as well. But we find the more you plan for a major vacation and save up for it, the better vacation you can usually have as well. [KrauseHome]
nope because i prioritize the money for paying bills, study loans and saving for the future!but if i had kept enough money,i really wish to have tour around the world by cruise ship after I'm 100% sure that the cruise can safe from being attack by pirate! huhu!because i', not really fond by riding a plane, really had big headache especially on long hour flight! maybe i will try to have tour by train! huhu! who's know maybe i can become great writer like j.k Rowling! huhu! creating super famous character while have great blast watching great scenery from train! huhu [fasyahime]
i have planed many times about my next vacation, however, when the time comes,it will so many reasons that i cann't realize the original plan!if i planed my holliday,i will achieve it do my best. [fanxiangqian]
Perhaps you're the type of person who doesn't need to plan long-term because things just go as you plan. Perhaps it would work for you if you just saved up money then go where the wind takes you. Good luck! [laydee]
I'm actually the type of person that just ups and goes whereever my car can handle! lol I recently came back home after a 10 day trip to northern California. [libby2009]
before ,we plan where to go for a vacation, but now we don't exactly call it a vacation,it's more of an adventure,if there's a long weekend or holidays,we just load on our truck or suv our backpacks,money/cards,cellphones,some food and MAP( me and my friends call it,"stow away kit"...and off we go to where we wanted to go as long as there's a road. :-) [bluescat]
I have not planned my next vacation now.I already went for a vacation.I will plan my next vacation after i do work for one year.I already went to my native place in the month of march.I did shopping in the biggest shop there.I also went to the beach and enjoyed the waves.I also ate out that night in a hotel. We mostly eat home food in native place. Its rare when many people come to our place we go out to order food.happyhappy [vicky30]
