Have You Traveled To All Your Neighboring Countries

I have been to France, Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and Norway. I live in Europe which is full of tiny countries so it has been easy to visit all of those places. Have you visited all of your neighboring countries? If so which countries are these? If you haven't would you like to visit these countries? If so which ones?

Nope, never been out of america. Would like to go to canada someday though that would be cool. No way in hell I would want to go to mexico though. I dont even own a passport. [darkjedi]
Wow really alpha? Do you remember where she lived? I cant imagine never leaving my city let alone the state. Hell I grew up in california, been all over california, been to hawaii, lived in utah, texas, oklahoma, and now im living in tennessee. I couldnt imagine staying in one place like that. [darkjedi]

I live in Canada and I have been to the States and before that I was born in Scotland, moved to England and then across the Ocean. But there is no countries close to Canada except to the States and at most it was the Northern States. I would like to go across the Ocean and take a rail tour over England and maybe go to Wales. I would also like to go to Mexico, but it looks like I will never get there the way things are going now. [suspenseful]
I would like to travel, not just watch things on a television scene. I mean it is not reality. I do not want to be limited to my very vivid dreams where I am now walking through the streets in Queens, New York or going into this concert hall and listening to the actors on the stage, or being in a train going over the Rockies, and all this in my dreams, as if God is compensating me for not being able to get to these places, by sending me there in spirit when I am asleep. Because I wake up and I am still in my bed. I want to see these places in person and I want to be with my husband when we do so. [suspenseful]

I have not made it to Canada or Mexico, yet, but will get there eventually. Visiting another country in Europe is of course like traveling to the next state here in the US. Let's see, I lived in Germany, Austria, and the US. I visited France, Monaco, Italy, Lichtenstein, San Marino, Vatican City, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Slowenia, Bulgaria, and Jugoslavia (when it was still in one piece and named that). [jonesy123]
Hello Sarinxr. Thanks for your lovely comment. Croatia and Montenegro make a superb holiday and add Slovenia as well it gets even better. The islands are so beautiful and the city of Dubrovnik is one of my favorites in the world. [maximax8]

Not ever since I came to Canada. I have never visited the US. But I visited most of the ones around the other places I lived in. You're right, of course. Living in Europe makes it so much easier to visit other countries around, they're so close compared to in here. I remember I used to go to Spain for a coffee LOL When I was in Africa and Brazil the other countries were a bit further, but we did visit some of them, and it was really nice to be able to experience so many different cultures and places. I don't think I ever visited Ireland which is a pity, it's a beautiful place. But I lived in Belgium for some time. I remember at that time every one was so polite. They even had this little paper pads and pens in the telephone booths if people needed to write something down, and the most amazing thing is that they were not stolen LOL [arkaf61]
I have both visited and lived in many different places due to my dad's job. It was a mix of something really good and not so good, since it was hard to make friends knowing I wouldn't stay there forever. When I was in Africa I lived in Angola, and we lived in Morocco for a short period of time. WHile in there I had a chance to visit a lot of other countries but the ones I remember the most are Kenia and Mozambique. Bever visited South Africa though - at least that I remember. I had a change to travel trough Europe both with my parents and alone and I covered most of it during the two times I traveled with Euro rail I think it was called- Ireland excepted LOL -. I also visited Timor, right beside Indonesia and Macau which was part of Portugal and is now again part of China. I have some friends in Rotterdam and Amsterdam but nobody stole our bikes while we were there - I guess we were lucky. I loved Sweden and when I was younger I thought I would like to make my home there, but not for long because on that same year I visited Greece and made my final decision hehehehehe too bad I ended up in Canada rolleyes [arkaf61]

I live in the USA, and have only visited our neighbor to the North, which is Canada. I visited Niagra Falls, and it was very beautiful. I would love to go again, it was about a six hour drive from where I live. [sudalunts]
I would love to go to Canada and I am sure the sight of the Niagara Falls is stunning. Six hours drive is fine for a long weekend away so I hope that you go there a few times more. Would you like to go to Mexico? [maximax8]

Unfortunately, I'm American and we only have two close neighbors, Mexico and Canada. I grew up in Southern California and a trip to Mexico was a monthly thing. I married a Canadian and I've been there several times (and will be again in a week). I also lived in the Dominican Republic, South Africa, and Israel at various points in my life (I'm not counting Vietnam). I've also visited the Bahama Islands, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands and St. Maartan, as well as Russia (which I love). The longest time I've spent in the UK is a little over an hour while I was waiting at Heathrow for a connecting flight to Johannesburg. My wife and I hope to go to Denmark (she's half Danish and has been there before) shortly. They have a good asylum program in place for writers. I'm a writer. [Vladilyich1]
I went to Latvia this year and looked into getting at Russian visa so I could go to St Petersburg. However I needed an invitation, a form about my toddler son, a visa for me and a visa for him. It would have cost me £300 with an agency or I would have had to to go to the embassy in London which would have cost about £50 return by train. I hope to go on the Trans Siberian Railway and when I do that I will get visas for Russia, Mongolia and China with plenty of time to spare. [maximax8]

Hi Maxine, I actually feel embarrassed in that even though I live in England I have yet to visit Scotland Or Ireland, I have visited Wales, France, Italy and Spain in Europe. I would love to visit more at some stage. Ellie :D [ellie333]
Hi Ellie. I have met some Australians that have seen more of the UK than me and I have seen more of Australia than they have. I did my degree in Wales and have only had short trips to Scotland and Ireland. I hope that you do lots more traveling. Maxine. happy [maximax8]

I have been to America a good number of times and my favourite holiday was in The Catskill Mountains. I also went to Spain a few times and Portugal. [Mickie30]
I think that the Catskill Mountains must be really beautiful. I have been to the Canary Islands but not mainland Spain yet and I took my baby son to Portugal last year. [maximax8]

Hello, Maximax8. It must be great to be travelling to so many countries. I'm sure you have enjoyed many of those trips. I would like to travel in the future too, learning other countries' culture and things like that... It must be amazing. I live in Brazil, so here we have Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Equador, Argentina... Those are the countries near. No, they are not very famous around the world, but let me tell you something: South America countries are not very well developed, but they have an amazing culture. Each country here has their personal culture, and I mean it. They have their tradition and their festivals, that's why there are people visiting them so often even when they are not in the first world. Respectfully, Munhozmib. [munhozmib]
So, you have travelled to those places already? That's great! [munhozmib]

When you come from Australia, this is very difficult to do. However I've been to New Zealand a few times, on business, as well as vacation. I've also been to Fiji a couple of times, and have cruised around the South Pacific Islands. What a relaxing way to take a vacation! Now I'm living in Thailand, I'm sad to say I have only been to Laos, and a short trip into Burma. There are many interesting adventures awaiting me in South East Asia, but I'm saving those for when I retire at the end of next year. Then I'll have plenty of time. Now I try to visit my family in Australia, or my wife's family in the north of Thailand when I have holidays. [mipen2006]
Many Australian people concentrate on seeing Australia because it is so large and varied so see no other countries. I am glad that you have traveled so extensively and have been to New Zealand, your next door neighbor my many miles. The South Pacific Islands are so gorgeous, Samoa is my favorite. It must be fantastic to live in Thailand and have so much of Asia on your door step. I hope that you have lots more interesting and enjoyable adventures in South East Asia. It is not long until you retire so that will be very exciting. [maximax8]

How nice to have traveled to all these countries you mentioned ...I have wanted to, since young. I stay in South East Asia, and have traveled to Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Hong Kong, China and Taiwan. Beyond that, I've traveled to United States and Mexico. I'd one day, hope to go to Europe and visit those beautiful countries, especially UK, Netherlands, Switzerland and the nearby countries happy [lazeebee]
You have visited all your neighboring countries and going to Taiwan and the Philippines you probably had to fly. It is fantastic that you have been over to to the States and Canada. I hope that you will go to Europe one day soon and have a lovely time. When I stopped off in Singapore I popped over to Sumatra and then on to Malaysia. [maximax8]

Hi maximax8! Wow, it would be great to see all of Europe. It has been my husband's fervent wish and mine too, to visit all of Europe. I live in the Philippines which is in Asia. I have been to China, Hongkong and Thailand which are parts of Asia. And I have been to London, United Kingdom and that was more than 21 hours travel from my country to London which really is very long for me. haha.. I want to see the USA too and Africa. Take care always..God Bless! [faith210]
Hi dear friend! Yes, I do hope that one day I could see all of Europe. I hope that you can visit our country and there are really a lot of beautiful beaches here. That will be great and maybe, we can see each other. I do wish to see South Africa such as the coastal towns of Hermanus, Cape Town, Knysna and Durban. And most especially, enjoy a safari in the oldest and best Wildlife Park in Southern Africa -- Kruger National Park. I have heard so much about it and hoping that I could see personally all those animals that I only see in the Animal Planet. It would really be great if all of us can do a lot of traveling and see so many beautiful places all around the world. lovelots..faith210 [faith210]

I've traveled to Canada, but I've only been to three provinces there. Quebec, Ontario, and flew to British Columbia on the other side. I would like to go to Nova Scocia and then to the rest of the provinces (they have 10). I have not been to Mexico. My parents have, but I haven't. They loved the Ballet Folklorique and the Pyramids (except walking up them, they were pretty old by then). I was in Paris, France for Easter way back one year in the 70s. I bet it has changed a lot. [writersedge]
That's wonderful that you were able to do so much traveling. I hope my income one day allows me to travel again. Right now, that's not possible, but who knows what the future holds? Thanks and take care. [writersedge]

I have covered Australia fairly well, having lived in 5 of the states and territories and having holidayed in two others. I am just missing Tasmania. Asia is close to us and I have been to Bali, Singapore and Malaysia and to Norfolk Island, which belongs to Australia but is closer to New Zealand. I would like to see New Zealand one day. It looks beautiful and has a bit of everything in the way of mountains, beaches and volcanoes. It is also cheaper to have a holiday in New Zealand with air fares and a week in the snow than staying at any of our Australian ski resorts. [Piscesmoon]
I have seen more of Australia than my home country. I have been to New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Queensland and Western Australia. I have been to the North and the South Island of New Zealand. You have been to Norfolk Island, wow! The islands in the Pacific Ocean are gorgeous. I fell in love with Samoa and its unspoilt landscape as well as its interesting culture. I am surprised that flying to New Zealand from Sydney would be cheaper than a holiday at a ski resort in the Snowy Mountains, [maximax8]

I live in the United States and I have never traveled out of the country. I was in my mommy's tummy when she was on her honeymoon in Mexico. Does that count? [_sketch_]
Yes, that does count. My older son has been to Spain then because I went there when I was pregnant with him. I hope that you discover the beauty of Canada on day but American is a lovely country with lots to see. [maximax8]

I have been to Canada and Mexico. I live in the United States, so I have been to all of my neighboring countries. [rogue13xmen13]
That is excellent. I have been to Mexico but haven't been to Canada yet. Happy traveling. [maximax8]

I'm from Philippines and i've only been to my neighboring countries such as Singapore, Malaysia and a small island in Indonesia last 2006. Me, my mom and my twin sister went there for a 10-day vacation, and it was so much fun. I'm planning to go to Thailand next year, which is also a neighboring country, so I do hope I'll be able to. [gegegelay]
It must be fantastic to have a twin sister. You are doing very well at visiting your neighboring countries. The Philippines is surrounded by sea so it is not as easy for you than it is for someone from Austria near the middle of Europe. I hope that yiu will have a wonderful time in Thailand. [maximax8]

I was only able to visit Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia... i was planning to visit more... but i got pregnant... but now that my baby is two years old... she already has a passport... but we have some financial problems at hand... so i am putting aside travelling... until i settle everything that need to be financially settled... [aseretdd]
I have been to Kuala Lumpur and think that it is a lovely city. I hope that your financial worries will ease and that you will take your daughter traveling in the future. It is great that your little girl already has a passport. Good luck. [maximax8]

I have only visited a few countries nearby. but i am planning to visit more and more. [leowang]
Oops wrong grammar. Should be..."this preoccupation". lol [joliefille]

I'm in Australia. The first time I went "overseas" as we call travelling internationally (it's all over seas for us), I went to Europe and visited England, Scotland, Wales, France, Italy, Monaco, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, and the Netherlands. I've also been to Singapore, Fiji, Tahiti and Vanuatu. I'd love to travel more - I really enjoy experiencing other cultures. [penny64]
I think Aussies go overseas for a long stretch because the longer you stay away, the less it costs per day due to the prices of airfares. Plus it is a long flight to travel halfway around the world. Most people I know have been to at least one foreign country, and in fact, many of them were born in one. I loved Europe, and I hope that one day I will be able to take my daughter there. I hope you get to travel here one day too! [penny64]

Nah. Never been out of the Philippines. But if it chances on me, I will not let slip way. I have dreams as well of touring around the world. But as of the moment, I don't have anything yet to spend for those kinds of dreams. [jaypeemanuel]
The Philippines is surrounded by sea and airfares can be expensive. I hope that one day you will be able to fly to Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore. Good luck for the future. [maximax8]

I live in Singapore and my neighboring countries are Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Out of these 4, I have been to Malaysia and Thailand. I would love to visit the Philippines one day. I heard places like Cebu is very nice. I have friends who had been to Vietnam and they love the scenery in Vietnam. I would love to visit Vietnam too. [poohgal]
You have visited most of your neighboring countries so that is great. I would love to fly to Cebu in the Philippines because it is near some really beautiful islands. I have heard that Vietnam is interesting and very scenic. I hope that you get to do lots more traveling. [maximax8]

hello maximax8 It is so wonderful to hear that you have travelled so many neighboring countries near you.I want to travel all countries which have some famous places around the world in life.I think it is a beautiful dream of mine.I will make my best effort to come true. I think i am contented to travel so many counyries if i could.lol good luck to you. happy happy [successlog]
Hello Successlog. I hope that you will go traveling to Vietnam, Thailand, Mongolia, South Korea and Japan. One day your dream of traveling my come true and you will be able to explore lots of famous sights around the world. [maximax8]

I have travelled to a few of my neighbouring countries but more far away than near if I start counting. I've been to malaysia, thailand, indonesia and vietnam, but never to the philippines, nor to cambodia nor laos. I would like to go to burma one day, when the unrest stops, and perhaps also laos which is supposed to be a great travel destination. of those I have been to, I have only been to a few cities and not gotten a real feel of the place. so i might go back there too. [squaretile]
It is great that you have visited most of your neighboring countries. Visiting a variety of places gets a real feeling about a country however bad weather made me move quickly on from Estonia. It is a superb idea to go back to the countries you have seen before and go to countries like the Philippines and Laos. I am sure Burma is fascinating and I hope to go there if the unrest stops. Happy traveling. [maximax8]

i havent visited any of them yet i live in turkey and neighboring countries are greece bulgaria georgia syria iran but i wanna go to greece soon [skenthal]
I went to Turkey one winter and really liked it. I went to Greece for my first overseas holiday. I went to Bulgaria in 2006. Waiting for my flight I met some people from Georgia. I hope that you go traveling in the future and have a wonderful time. [maximax8]

I've been to Tobago, the neighbouring island to Trinidad, where I live in the Caribbean. It is easy to travel in the Caribbean but that does depend on your personal finances as cheap as anything may be. Some commonplace undertakings are not always possible for everyone. [Bluepatch]
Wow! I wished that I lived in the Caribbean. I once visited St Lucia and found it a very relaxing and scenic island. I don't think that there are many ferries running between islands in the Caribbean. I think that the flights and accommodation costs are quite expensive. Most of all I would love to visit Tobago and Grenada. [maximax8]

I live in Europe too and I've been or at least passed by almost everywhere. My list is shorter if I count the ones where I haven't set foot. Let's see: The Vatican, Makedonia, Bosnia, Albania, Iceland, Montenegro, Cyprus, San Marino and the ones where I only know airports like Malta and Norway. [overwings]
Yes, you have discovered most of Europe. It is also shorter for me to say where in Europe I haven't yet been: The Vatican, San Marino, Monaco, Andorra, Bosnia, Macedonia, Albania, Cyprus and Iceland. I hope that you enjoy lots more traveling. [maximax8]

Actually I have, since there is only two. I've been to Canada and Mexico. They were both nice trips, but different in their own way. Canada was very clean, there was no trash in the streets, or on the side of the roads. Mexico was different, went down there for a fishing trip. We had a very good time, the town was very layed back, people wore swimsuits and shorts even to the best restruants. [palonghorn]
It is great that you have visited both your neighboring countries. I like the way that you described Canada and Mexico. I have been to Mexico and found it quite relaxing. Talum was crowded with tourists compared to the Mayan ruins in Belize and Guatemala. I would love to go to Canada one day soon with my toddler son. [maximax8]

im in an asian countries. we are all seperated with water. i have to be on a plane if ever i want to visit some countries near to ours. you are so lucky that europe are sorrounded by small countries that you can go by land. [zeny_zion]
Yes, I am so lucky to live in Europe because it has so many different countries and cheap airfares available. There are some stunning beaches in Asia though and sunny weather. I hope that you will go to Thailand, Malaysia and Hong Kong one day. [maximax8]

I'm from Scotland, but now live in Northern Ireland, have visited in the Irish Republic, and England, but haven't been to Wales Yet..I've lived and worked in Germany,Have passed through Switzerland on 2 occasions, the first time on my flight when going to Germany, then bussed over the border, the second time on a Ski trip to France, again travelling across the border to the resort! I've been in Mainland Spain, and Visited Gibraltar, and have visited the US many times..I'd like to visit other countries, but I'd prefer to go places where I can understand some of their language!so far, then, that limits Me to places that Speak English,French,German, and Spanish..and I can only claim to be fluent in German..! [ShepherdSpy]
You have visited many countries close to places that you have lived as well as the USA. It is wonderful that you have a flair for languages. I am trying to learn Spanish because it is spoken in Central and South America. I met a German guy and he loved his visit to Namibia. Thanks for your superb response. [maximax8]

I live in Europe too, and you are right, it's easy to visit those neigbouring countries. For me it was Italy, Hungary, Bulgaria, Greece, and all ex Yugoslavia countries. I still haven't been to Romania, and I would like to some day, I hear it's a beautiful country. [Natrak]
Yes, I went to Romania in 2006 and found it a stunningly beautiful country, from the medieval citadel I explored to its gorgeous countryside. I went to Montenegro in 2003 and adored it there, the ex Yugoslavia countries are lovely. [maximax8]

Hii friend. i live in india and never went out of this country. i love traveling but never got an chance. actually in my city being out of this country at my age is quote big thing [AnilMehra]
Hello my friend. I would love to visit India one day. I have heard it has stunning sights. It is never to late to travel overseas and many people do this in retirement. Kathmandu or Sri Lanka might be interesting for you. Respectfully Maximax8. [maximax8]

I live in Canada which is a huge country and has 10 provinces and three territories. I have visited all the provinces except Newfoundland. I still need to visit 2 of the territories, Yukon and Northwest Territory. Because the country is so large, for instance it is 37 times bigger than Germany a lot of Canadians never get to see their whole country. I have been to the US a number of times and also Mexico. So, I guess I can say I have visited my neighbor countries. I can relate to what you are saying about Europe. It is so easy to visit different countries even in one day. I have visited various European countries also. [Lindalinda]
You are right; those living in the far North are challenged as far as travel is concerned. Either they are native people who are born and live there, lots of time on isolated reservations or they are people from the South who work there for a company, usually three or four weeks on and three or four weeks off, so when they get home there is lots of stuff to do. Then there are people who move up there and stay and work there for a time or forever. I guess they travel when their vacations are coming up. [Lindalinda]

never out of my country.... i have never visited my neighboring countries.i haven't enough money to make my dream come true.it's difficult to get out of my country.i want to visit American new zealand and UK eagerly.i wish my first destination will be American. [xialinye]
i have been to hongkong.it's nice there.that's my favourite city.i love living in hongkong.when i walking on the street, everything to me is so familar.i watch the TV programn from hongkong and affected by its culture, which combine eastern and western. have you been there? do you like it? [xialinye]

I live in China, why don't you come to China? So many place to visit for you,the Great Wall,so much mountains and rivers, here is good place to travel!Chinese wellcome all the friends to travel. If you are going to come to China, perhaps I can be your guide, now I work at Guangzhou,Guangdong province.I want to travel to Europe,to Paris someday if the holiday is enough long!!All the best wishes to you! [sunny69316]
Thanks, that is such a kind offer. I would love to go to China one day. I would be interested in seeing the Great Wall. It is a large and scenic country. I would travel around by train. I hope that you go to Europe one day. Best wishes. [maximax8]

I live in England and I have been to every part of Britain except for Northern Ireland. I've also visited Jersey and the Irish Republic. I've travelled through or visited most Western European countries, from Iceland in the north to Greece in the south, but I haven't been to Portugal, Sweden, Denmark or Finland. Some years ago I spent two weeks walking in Andorra, a small principality high up in the mountains between France and Spain, and I have been to what is now the Czech Republic and Slovakia but when I went it was still Czechoslovakia. [paid2write]
I haven't been to Northern Ireland yet but have been tempted by the Giant's Causeway on shown on television because it looks beautiful there. I have been to Sark, one of the smaller ones of the Channel Islands. Andorra sounds lovely. I have been to Czech Republic and Slovakia and this was after Czechoslovakia split. I went to Portugal last year and discovered Scandinavia when I was 18 years old. Happy traveling. [maximax8]

I have barely been out of this state and then only briefly. [NoReplyatAll]
I guess that you might come from the USA or Australia, both of those countries have states. I wish you happy traveling in the future. [maximax8]

I live in the US, haven't been to Canada or Mexico, despite being so close. I want to check them out sometime. [danrunsfast614]
I know that the USA is a large country so it is understandable that you haven't traveled out of it yet. When you do go to Canada you will probably find it scenic and it is likely that you will find Mexico relaxing. [maximax8]

Never before, since I was born, any neighboring countries weren't by myself,it is just because of the money and time.I really hope to get to the Uk.My emotion to Cokeney is morn than anyone and even better than living in Uk.Now,I'm just a uni su.When I can get my support for my living and there's some money left,I will fly to the Uk without hesitation, that place has been my dream all the time. As a stu in China, welcome all the forergners to come to china,I will be ready to introduce some kind of cultures to u. [Englishprince]
Yes, it takes time and money to travel. I went on budget trips when I was a student. In my first year I got a package deal to Kenya, then left it to go to Nairobi. There I found a five day safari for US$150. In my second year I got a cheap flight to Tel Aviv and then explored Israel and Egypt. In my third year I got a cheap flight to Salzburg and then explored Austria and Bavaria in Germany. You are very keen on England and in particular London. I hope that you go to the UK in the future. Yes, I am sure China is a great country and I would like to go there one day. [maximax8]

i live was born and grew up in the philippines which is part of asia. but i've only been to singapore and stayed there for two weeks. now, i am living in sweden with my boyfriend and we will surely travel around europe one day. anyway, the reason why i don't travel that much is because of the plane fares. too expensive that a simple person like me can't afford to just travel around the world anytime i want to. [maryannemax]
It is lovely that you live in Sweden with your boyfriend. I know how expensive it was in Stockholm and even more so in Oslo when I was there. I hope that you get an inter rail and go around Europe on it one day. Camping and hosteling are cheap ways to stay overseas. I would love to go to the Philippines and I have been to Singapore three times now. [maximax8]

My country is actually a group of islands so we dont have neighbours like with continents! But my husband and I been to Singapore, Hong Kong and Vietnam and all are very close. We are now in Egypt after living in India, so a long way from both our homes now! [CJay77]
I imagine that Egypt is hot this time of the year. The nearest I have been is Israel and Jordan in the summer months one year and it was 40 degrees in the Red Sea resorts. There is so much history and an interesting culture in Egypt. It certainly must be a fantastic place to live. [maximax8]

hi there, ihave been in London but only Airport but i have beenthe other side of the world in New Zealand great place on earth!yeah i dont mind visiting all the countries you have mentioned but the problem is the ticket of the plane is getting more and more expensive this time no more stable prices.shocked [bombshell]
yeah i agree and New Zealand is green and clean. [bombshell]

I have in deed traveled to my neighboring countries. Those would be Canada and Mexico. I have spent significant time in both. I have in addition traveled to many other countries during the 22 years I spent in the Navy. A lot of my time was traveling from place to place and I had the pleasure of visiting countries and places I would never be able to go as a civilian. [eeyore39]
The Navy had been very good to me. It provided additional education and world travel. What more could anyone ask and get paid as well to do something you really believe in. Thanks for your comments. [eeyore39]

I live in The US. I have been all over Canada but have never been to Mexico. I have been to France and Spain as well. I hope to some day go to Mexico, but I prefer Europe! Mexico has come to me! [laglen]
Yes, Europe is interesting and historic with some great architecture. I hope that you go to Mexico one day. I would love to go to Canada. [maximax8]

When I liven in America I went to Canada and Mexico multiple times. Now I live in Israel and have been to Jordan and Egypt. Lebanon and Syria are forbidden to me so I cant go even if I wanted to. They are not safe at this time, so I wouldn't want to go. I also went to Cyprus and Turkie. They are kinda close to Israel. A lot of people take short mini vacations there. I've also been to Australia, New Zealand, Italy and Sicily. This is all as an adult. As I kid I went to about half of Europe, but that was when I was young so I don't remember much. [TheCatLady]
It is a shame that it isn't the Paris of the East anymore. I know another country, Montenegro that used to popular and then the war sent all the tourism away. I went there in 2003 and think Ex-Yugoslavia is lovely. I have heard Syria is mad if a traveler has been to Israel and won't let them in. I think Greece is a superb country so I hope you go there soon. [maximax8]

I live in the U.S.A we dont really have countrys in itself here only states. so I have never been out of this country although i would love to go many places. italy being the first. and spain the second. [xXxMikesWifeyxXx]
Perhaps you could pop over to Canada or Mexico, but I realize the USA is large. I hope that you go to Italy and then to Spain. [maximax8]

I live in the U.S. I have not been to Canada. I have been to Mexico. I have visited several Carribbean Islands to our south. I guess I just haven't thought about visiting Canada before, although I suspect it is a very interesting country and I do speak the tiniest bit of French. You are so lucky to have visited so many lovely and interesting places. Keep traveling, maximax8. Take care. [PearlGrace]
Hello Pearl Grace. It is wonderful that you have been to Mexico and I hope that you go to Canada one day. Yes, speaking French in Quebec might be quite enjoyable. I have been to St Lucia and think the Caribbean islands are so relaxing. Yes, I love traveling. Take care. [maximax8]

I live in the United States so we only border two countries. Canada, which I have visited although I was banned from there for awhile because of my activism they said I was in a riot which is ridiculous because I'm in a wheelchair and it would not be safe for me to be in a riot. I've been to protest marches, but riots, no. Well anyway, after I got the Canadian government to get its head out of its behind I've been back to Canada. I can only go under escort of "responsible Canadian", actual phrasing I'm not making this up. I have never been to Mexico although I would like to for the simple, selfish reason that I like their food. [cripfemme]
I hope that you go to Mexico and eat some delicious food. I have been on marches myself and know that the police don't like this sort of thing. I am a teacher and I don't go anymore because I don't like the worry of getting bother from the police. The Canadian government was unkind and unreasonable towards you. Deciding that you can go "under the escort of a responsible Canadian" is mean of the officials. [maximax8]

I live in the United States. As a kid I have been to Canada and Mexico. Actually I went to Canada a few times. Love it. Mexico I've had 2 very brief day-trips into it and one was to Tijuana, which doesn't really count as Mexico as it is more touristy than anything (from what I remember). I have always wanted to go to Germany, Spain and Australia. Maybe one day...happy [renitaperrone]
Yes, Tijuana is busy with tourists but I got a costume doll there. My next visit was to south of Cancun and that was much nicer there. I would love to go to Canada, flying in to either Toronto or Vancouver. I hope that you will go to Spain and Germany on European Adventure and have a trip to Australia one day. [maximax8]

We have two countries near the US. Canada and Mexico. I used to go to Canada all the time when I was a kid with my Stepmom b/c she had a friend or cousin that lived over there. My favorite part was riding the ferry between Michigan and Canada. I also went to Mexico the year I was 15 with friends of the family. It was a long trip (we lived in Dallas) and I got severe sunburn but it was fun. My Mom warned me so much about drinking their water and watching what I ate that I wouldn't eat anything other than Nachos and drank nothing but milk. LOL We went to a type of farmers market there that sold everything frome dresses (I bought one with a huge blue flower on it...no idea what ever happened to it) to special fruit drinks called Aqua Fresca...a fruit drink they make down there that is out of this world. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~ [twoey68]
Thanks for your excellent description of the wonderful times that you have had in your neighboring countries. It can be so enjoyable to arrive in a country by ferry. It sounds like in Mexico you bought a beautiful dress. You were wise not to drink the local water. I know all about sunburn and hopefully have learned my lesson after burning my shoulders in Greece and my legs in Hawaii. The special fruit drink sounds delicious. Take care and happy traveling. Yep, just two to visit...LOL...I have been to Canada and saw Niagra Falls a few times. I have been to Mexico several times. Love Mexico and the beaches. [kbjunior15]
It is great that you have visited both your neighboring countries. I am hoping to go to Canada next year. I love it on Mexico's palm fringed beaches and enjoy looking around the superb Mayan ruins. I have been to Mexico twice and am learning Spanish. [maximax8]

Living in the UK I have no neighbouring countries unless you count both Wales and Scotland, Ireland too, I have toured both Wales and Scotland on a number of occasions, the best trip being 4 weeks camping trip around Scotland just me and my car that was a wonderful experience. I have never been to Ireland and would love to visit Southern Ireland one day. I have been across the water to France and Germany but not Italy. I love travelling and there are a lot of places on my list to visit. [wolfie34]

The United States have 2 country that touch it, Mexico, which I am much closer to I have dipped my toes into twice. Once at Nuevo Laredo and once at Juarez for "day" visits. Canada, which is far away from Texas, I have been to twice also, but for more serious visits. Even tho I've only been to western Canada, Victoria and Vancouver, I really enjoyed those visits a lot. I have been to a lot of the states in the U.S. although I've missed New England, Florida and the north Central area. I've also never been out of the mainland 48. I have been to England, Austria, Italy, Swizerland and France for brief visits when I was young and England twice since then. I sometimes would like to go to Mexico, but because of my food allergies (specifically corn) I worry about it. [ElicBxn]

I ever visited Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia in recent years for business and traveled by the way. Others such as Saudi Arab, Germany and United Arab Emirates are not our neighboring countries I visited only for business. [snebxu66]

Hello Maximax...I live in Southeast Asia...and I would love to go on backpacking starting from Singapore upwards...unfortunately I didn't have the chance to do so...Maybe, I'll dare to do that in the near future...I've only visited Singapore and that was all...I love traveling, I love discovering great places...but I guess I still have to start in my own country...Philippines is quite nice, especially for nature lovers..So I guess I would start in here...and eventually I'll be heading onwards... [JannaLee]
