I like the idea of this and soon may be taking a little vacation myself, even though I am already on a permament vacation here near the beach!

A vacation can be going anywhere at all, even across the road to a neighbours to get away for a while.
Do yourself a favour, and even if you can't afford to travel, let your imagination take you to places you would like to visit.
It is a great way to escape the stress of the economy right now.
