I Just Want To Be Where

If you were able to visit just one country in the World that you had not been to before where would you go? Personally I have always wanted to visit New Zealand. I have know several New Zealanders and they have described a wondrous place to me with a myriad vistas and a diverse topography. So where is your dream destination. Remember it must be a country that you have never visited before.

My dream destination would have to be Ireland. Rolling green land and beautiful sunsets. The best brews on earth. Yeah, that would be awesome. I have wanted to go to Ireland since I was a little girl. I would like to find out more about my ancestry and that would be a great way to do it. [mrsfrodotata]
It irritates me to be driving down the street and see all the trash on the side of the road. But here latley I have acctually seen bus loads of people stopped on the side of the road cleaning up. That is really cool. If only people could stop littering faster than it can be cleaned up then we would be good. We have the shopping cart problem in the white river. It sucks cause you want to sit and enjoy nature and have to look at all the junk people throw over the bridges. I don't litter and I am teaching my children to not litter. I think if you catch it at a young age and explain the importance of it then it can really make a big difference. [mrsfrodotata]

Australia hands down Pike. I want to go to Steve Irwins Queensland Zoo so badly. It has been a dream of mine for many years long before his death even. I am not to much of a Celebrity hound, I really do not find many admirable but Steve was my hero. Not to mention I would love to visit Goodie and help her spray peppermint oil about her stead, sit out in her yard and sip tea and laugh at all of you. I also want to see the outback or at least parts of it. meet some local people and just taste the dirt so to speak. [Angelwhispers]
You are a scream Mr Fish.lol [Goodie123]

I have always wanted to go to Eygpt...Such mystery and wonder...I have been studing eygpt culture for years...Maybe one day....This is my dream place to visit... [Breath]
That sounds great. People say that Egypt is an experience. [p1kef1sh]

There's an awfully long list, but if I had to pick just one it would be Australia. I'd love to see the outback and go snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef among other things. [dawnald]

There are so many places I would love to see. First I would love to go to Scotland. My best friend lives there with her family and I would love to see her. We met, online, about 6 yrs ago and have gone through alot together and we have kept in touch almost on a daily basis. She says that I would be disappointed and it's not like I have it pictured in my mind, but I bet some of it still is. ;) Anyways, we have an open invitation, we just need to get the money. ha ha [Irishfrndly65]
Scotland won't disappoint you. It's a lovely place. Better save those pennies. [p1kef1sh]

I know it's a state, but I want to go to Alaska. And I want to meet some native people, and see the glaciers, and the seals and walrusses (walri?) and feel the magic in the land and the air and the water. But if I had to pick another country, it would be Australia too, just like some others here. What a magical place. And so fu*(ing huge!!! I want to see the outback, and I want to see the sky there, as big as the world. And I wanna sit with my Goodie too, and have cocktails, and go for long rides with Angel, but not when we're drinking, mind you, no, never, not us. I can see it now, clear as day. We'd be a force to be reckoned with. [novataylor]
When it rains real heavy it turns into a fast flowing river and comes right up into the backyard. [Goodie123]

Well...I have been to New Zealand. It's a great country to visit! The scenery is fantastic and the people are warm and friendly. Do check out the Maori culture while you are there, it is very interesting. You might enjoy my article on a Maori village I visited: Hangi in Aotearoa http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474977115659 As for where I still want to visit next ... Afrika and South America are tops on my list! I would also like to explore the Interior of China. I have an extensive travel history. My journeys have taken me to over 40 wonderful countries. I do have some tales to tell and do so at a couple different places on the web. You can find my blog - ¿Where the Heck are You? - at this link: http://wheretheheckareyou.blogspot.com/ cool [ltmoon]
Thank you for that. I don't know about Angel but I am green eyed. Not spam at all. An interesting read. I'm pleased that the guy with the club decided that you were friendly! [p1kef1sh]

I have never visited any other country, but I agree that New Zealand is number one on my list of places to visit. My best friend on Mylot is from New Zealand. I was just speaking to someone from there a few minutes ago. I was asking her about why she moved out here. With a place as beautiful as New Zealand, I would never want to leave. She said that it is very small though. She said you have to get out and explore other places. I asked her if she would want to retire there. She said maybe, but right now she is not ready to retire. [Rozie37]
Small is beautiful Rozie. My Mum has a friend in NZ and always comes back glowing with what a wonderful place it is to visit. I hope that you get there someday. [p1kef1sh]

i would love to go to america.i have never been there, and would love to do disney land with the children, and all the other tourist traps.then i will come and visit you p1ke,just to see that conical bra .cheers sue [suehan1]
You will e very welcome Sue. Enjoy America it's all that you think that it is a a whole lot more. [p1kef1sh]

As I have never been outside Australia, there are many countries I would love to visit. As I have a fear of flying New Zealand would be my first choice. The flight only takes 2 1/2 hours, so that would suit me for a start. [Goodie123]
And what pray tell, would I be doing with myself while you are at work all day. Cooking and cleaning so you can relax at night with your feet up.rolleyesrasprolleyes [Goodie123]

hello, growing up i dont really have a dream country in mind to visit till i reached college and found some information about denmark since then i have dream to visit the country. see my idol's work of art (hans christian andersen) i want to see where he lives and the statue of the little mermaid but i was told by my irish friend that the original statue is no longer there. oh well, i still want to see the remains of the vikings and their boats and walk around the city of copenhagen. i saw some of their photos and it is just lovely. i hope someday i can go there and tell my self that i did reach such point of attaining my dream. takecare! [jairgirl]
yes, i really hope i get to see denmark in my life time. oh i dont know, i just know 4 years ago my irish friend told me that the original statue was gone because of the flood that happened in the river (?) where the statue is. i really didnt check the legality of his statement coz he is a friend and i trust him, if you said the original statue is still there, then it will be so awesome to see it. thanks for the info. takecare! [jairgirl]

Utopia comes to mind troubled by so many conflicts around the world. But to avoid making one mad I would select to visit the section of any city in the world that hasn't a semblance of violence or xenophobia. Why a section? one may ask. That's the beauty of reading. I have found that there is a section in every city where people are not mad at each other; do not snatch other's possessions; looking out to help someone in distress like the gallant gentlemen of the past, but then they helped only ladies and preferably pretty ones; respect privacy of others; and have hurt-free fun. Does this help Pike? No, you were talking of a country and I have been rambling of cities. That's what comes of old age, the inevitable senile condition of mind. [OUTBACKBEN]
Oh, oh, can you see, what I see, a tiny little, subtle though, philosopher peeking from behind Pike. And he is mouthing, IT'S ALL IN THE MIND. He's impish and am afraid. [OUTBACKBEN]

I have always wanted to visit Egypt. I have a massive fascination with ancient Egypt and their mummies and pyramids and burial grounds and ways of life in general. The thought of seeing the Sphynx and the Pyramids and the Valley of the Kings live and in person is incredible! It is most definitely a trip I will make at some point in my lifetime... likely not until the kids are old enough to be left alone, or are not living under my roof anymore either. [CanadaGal]
Camel rides I can do at the zoo. lol. [CanadaGal]

Hello p1kef1sh! Has anyone told you how lovely you are looking these days??? wink That outfit really flatters you! I would visit Scotland! I have always wanted to go there and missed out on it when I was in the UK the last time. I visited England and Wales but there was a lot of flooding going on and the high speed trains weren't running so we skipped Scotland. My next trip to Europe will be either scotland or Germany, but if I could only choose one, it's the Scots I'll visit. xboxboy better lock his doors quick!! [dfn12968]
Thank you. I am not sure about black, but they say you can't go wrong with it. Next time you come say hello. I'll escort you to the station to get your high speed link. Scotland is a lovely country, very diverse landscape. I hope that yu do get to come back and visit. [p1kef1sh]

I'd like to visit Australia. They even have a Katherine region. I love their accents, I like anyone I've ever met from there and it just seems so wild and free. Of course, I'm only going on what I've seen in the movies. I have a couple of good friends here on this site too that I would definitely stop in to say hello to. [kbourgerie]
I hope that you get there. It certainly does look very wild in parts. One of my surrogate daughters is there just now and the photos she sends back suggest that it is not just the scenery that is wild. The nightlife appears to be jumping too! [p1kef1sh]

I have always wanted to go to two places. First Australia, I would love to see kolas and kangaroos. Secondly I would like to go to Ireland. My grandmother was Irish. I would love to visit the emerald isle and see my roots [mssnow]
Australia and Ireland seem to be the two favourite places so far. Both great countries. I hope that you will get to them someday. [p1kef1sh]

I would go to Hawaii because my Husband is deploying in June to Iraq and he has always wanted to go there, so I would choose it for him. [jessnbrian]
That's very sweet of you. A former colleague of mine has retired to Hawaii and is loving every minute of it. I hope that your husband has a safe deployment. [p1kef1sh]

Ireland then England. Even if I have been to Ire, I can't remember it. I was to young before I came to the states. Ainge [Aingealicia]
Oh yeah, I have some new "opinionated' discussions. I am sure they shall get heated. Ainge [Aingealicia]

i so want to go to China. I love the culture there and the architect there as well. I see pictures of the many places there and the different cultures all over the place. From hong kong to the smallest villages in the mountains every culture differs from place to place even the language is somewhat different. To me it is one of the most fascinating places to visit. My second would be Ireland or Scotland any area like that would be awesome. [foundmyangel]
Post a story for us please. [OUTBACKBEN]

I have no dream destination at all.Always,I make a travel plan that where I should go this year or this month, then I will do base on it.And this year I planed to visit Japan.Because, first it is near and second I think Tokyo is the most fashion city in Asia.I love fashion things and I hope I could learn more from the fashion city. The other point I like is the hot well. How comfortable it could be when I in it??I expect it so much... [lizzy0529]
Have a great time in japan. [p1kef1sh]

Since I was a teenager,I´ve always wanted to visit New Zealand. It´s beacuse of their nature. I also want to visit Ireland one day [Kahawa]
I know,I can trust on you,my friend [Kahawa]

well i always wanna go to antartica to enjoy its weather .)) [NikSaluja]
That'd be "cool". Thank you. [p1kef1sh]

I love to go to Italy specifically in Rome. That would be so cool to be there and see the St. Peter Basilica and every famous structure/architecture. Plus, the museums and the known paintings of all time. Actually, I would love to have a European Cruise. Super fab! [reejane]
Rome is a small city and the better for it. A european cruise is a great idea, just make it a long enough one. These trips where you see a different capital city a day don't really allow you anytime to experience what the countries are really like. [p1kef1sh]

I'm thinking Oz would be nice, but probably not practical. I have no decent red shoes. [listenandlearn]
Just tap your heels together and follow the Yellow Brick Road and we'll let you off the red shoes. [p1kef1sh]

i would love to go and visit japan. that's my dream to go there [micari]
I do hope that you go there one day Micari. Welcome to myLot. [p1kef1sh]

korea or taiwan or even hong kong would be nice [rhane7315]
I've been to Hong Kong. When you get up each morning a new building has been constructed. I have never been anywhere where so much Construction was taking place. But it is a fantastic place too. I hope that you manage to visit one day. [p1kef1sh]

Well if I could go any where in the world I would choose Morocco. The reason being is that I know nothing about it. I imagine it would be quite a cultural eye opener from the food to the religious festivals. As a female however it probably isn't a safe to travel alone there, so I guess for now that dream destination will have to wait. [nutmeg72]
I think that Morocco probably is a destination that a lone female might want to visit first with a companion. But you can get those sorts of trips. I do hope that you get there sometime. Welcome to myLot. [p1kef1sh]

Hi, I would love to go to New Zealand.I too have New Zealander friends who have given me a virtual imagination of the country, with its green fields,a superb scenery.Just a perfect place to have a piece of mind.I wish I could spend my last days in this world there when I'm old.A superb retiring location though. No racism, live a happy life with less crowd and hectic. It would be wonderful!!!! [farmaz]
Hi, About the no racism.I got to know about it because few of my New Zealander friends were actually Aussies(sorry) migrated to New Zealand because of this reason. My friends are both from aborigines and white Australian. They just got fed up of their country and moved to New Zealand. [farmaz]

really i have NO idea, the ONE time i was out of the US was when i went on my High school grad trip to NY/Canada to see Niagra (soooo coool). But if i HAD to pick somewhere i have NEVER been before i would have to go somewhere where a friend of mine has been and he said it was COOL (but i could never afford it). AUSTRAILA, I think it would be kinda cool to go there, i think i would be alone on my trip as my family would think im nuts...but it would be fun lol. my two cents worth. ~*~J_Dawgs~*~ [J_Dawgs]
Australia seems very popular. Thank you. [p1kef1sh]

I am from the Philippines, but before I want to go out to other country,I want to see other beautiful places in this country.I want to see Bohol, Dumaguete City, Baguio, Vigan, etc. [asawanialvin0611]
Some times home is the best place to start. Many people from my country could tell you more about Florida and Spain than the next town to where they live. [p1kef1sh]

Oh Piky...im a saddo...lol..im just going to say that for now ...the only place i want to be is in my own home..along with my cream doughnut....ive no desire to go anywhere at the mo.We went to Norfolk last year and we took my Mum...well lol between hubby and Mum...I was quite glad to get home again!!!!..So im opting out this year!!!...Maybe at some point in the future i may think about that questio again...and come up with a very different answer...but for now...just let me have peace..!My son went to Sydney for 3 weeks last christmas..he spent new years eve in a hotel overlooking Bondai beach...and he lapped every little bit of his three weeks up and i dont blame him one little bit...he works incredibly hard!!!As he says it really was the holiday of a lifetime..I think it would take a few years of saving up to be able to go again!!! [ruby222]
Chitterne and Potterne are lovely. I hope that you weren't a "wifelet" Ruby. LOL!! [p1kef1sh]

My one country would have to be Hawaii. I have heard so much about it and seen pictures of it. I am sure it is probably not as ideal as I have in my head, but there seems to be something magical about it that I would be keen to experience. [MsCYPRAH]
I hope that you get the chance to visit there one day. People that I know who have been say that it is a wonderful place. [p1kef1sh]

I like traveling.Either country ourselves or outside it.I would love to be.But for the dream town, first,is Copenhagen, for loving the mermaid,of cause, I admire Andersen so much;secondly is Florence. And about our owns,China, most of the places are all my dream town, certainly.Jiuzhai Gou,West lake and so on. [forance]
I hope that all those dreams come true for you. [p1kef1sh]

me maybe i will choice italy, i love thier style thier, if not it will be spain like also tier traditional way like in my own hometown. [Ohara_1983]
Italy is a lovely country. Very stylish people that is true. [p1kef1sh]

I really wanted to go to Italy.. I am so intrigued by their buildings especially the leaning tower of pizza and also I want to try their gondola boats! and it's also a city of romance.... :) [shikimurei]
The Leaning Tower is in Pisa. The Gondolas in Venice. Both are lovely cities though. I hope that you get to visit one day. Thank you and welcome to myLot. [p1kef1sh]

Mine would be a choice between Australia and America to be honest I know I will never get there as I will not fly They would have to put me to sleep lol to get me on a Plane [gabs8513]
I try not to fly for environmental reasons. But there are a lot of people that are fearful about flying. There's a discussion in that somewhere. Australia via America. That would be some trip. [p1kef1sh]

This is just too difficult for me. There are too many places. Italy, Scotland, New Zealand, Australia...... oh all the wonderful places to see out there. How is it possible to choose just one. blinkdroolsurrender [makingpots]
Oh yes, all wonderful places indeed.... though, I have been to England so I could not list it here. Honestly, the appeal of Scotland for me has to do with the people I know from there. Some of the nicest people I have ever met have been Scotland natives. [makingpots]

There are so many place that I want to go but if I had to pick the top destination for me it would be New Zealand or Australia. I would not be looking forward to the flight though - loooooooong! [abby0210]
New Zealand would be such a lovely destination. Then on to Australia, it's on 2 1/2 hours further. But a long flight. You could always break the journey. [p1kef1sh]

I too have wanted to visit New Zealand as well as Scotland and Australia. I'm not a fan of long plane rides though so I doubt I will ever see these places. [cynicalandoutspoken]
Make several shorter flight breaking you journey as you go. New Zealand would be fantastic. There's a bunch of us going to Goodies in Oz then on to NZ. Come along and help steam up her windows, LOL. [p1kef1sh]

My dream destination, p1kef1sh, would have to be the British Isles.rolleyes For many years now I have studied and learned quite a bit about England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. They hold a special interest for me for some unknown reason. Maybe a past life experience.lol There are other places I would like to see, but none can compare with my love for that special place. [worldwise1]
A wonderful choice. But then I am biased. Tell me when you are arriving and I'll be at the airport to greet you. I may leave off the bra though, LOL [p1kef1sh]

Let me think about that one for a sec. I am not really sure. i would love to be able to travel my wonderful country before i go getting on a plan to lands unknown. however, I would love to go to England. I don't know why really, it has just always been a place i wanted to see. [34momma]
thanks my friend, remember you said that [34momma]

Same here. Its been my dream to visit New Zealand. I have another place in my mind and that is Switzerland. These two are my dream places and I will make sure tat i will visit these places atleast once :) Good luck to you on that. Hope u get a chance soon to visit your dream land [rashmigs]
Well as you know I would love to go to New Zealand, but I have been to Switzerland a few times. In fact my daughter says that out best ever family holiday was in Switzerland. We rented a farm house half way up a mountain and spent a couple of weeks walking and climbing. Lovely. Hope that you make it to those places yourself. [p1kef1sh]

I wanna go to GOA AND THEN OFF TO SOME FAR OFF ISLAND WITH LOADS OF WEED IN IT AND A WOMAN FOR COMPANY [indianendeavour]

Hands down, Machu Picchu in Peru. It is one of the few 'mystical' places in the world I haven't been to.The history, the Incan culture, the placement of the city in the clouds - who could resist? Not me. [sparkofinsanity]
I don't remember AC writing about Peru, but if there's a book I missed, I'm determined to find it! LOL I have the twin sets - the ones from my youth still fit!, but sadly, still on the hunt for a proper felt hat! LOL [sparkofinsanity]

Springtime in mainland Japan. Plenty of sites and wonders there. I'll be going soon enough, but the timing has to be right as travel can be a headache at certain times. [theprogamer]
Well enjoy it. Cherry blossom time. Sound like a song. It is a song. [p1kef1sh]

I'd actually like to be a little more specific. If I were possible, I would visit Dubai because it's a very wealthy and beautiful place. They're also building the world's tallest tower there, which will be three quarters of a mile high! If you haven't heard much about Dubai, I'd encourage you to do some research on the Internet about it. It's really intriguing! It's such an interesting place. It also has the world's only seven-star hotel there. If you search it online, you'll find some amazing pictures of the hotel itself. I hope I made you curious so you'll go look now! If you do, please tell me what you think of my dream place to visit! Thank you in advance. [JJ4Ever]
I'm so happy you've been there and know so much about it! You're right about it transforming into a tourist place. Wow, I'm very jealous of you! (LOL) I want to go there someday before I leave this world. What a pretty place to live even if it is just sand and water...sand and water means beaches! I love all of it. Too bad you couldn't stay in the hotel. (LOL) It's probably like $5,000 (USD) to stay there per night or something ridiculous, but it sure would be pretty. There's even a tennis court at the very top of it. You couldn't pay me to play up there! I hate heights. Anyway, I'm so glad you've been there. Sounds like you do a lot of traveling. Where are you originally from and (if it's a different place) where do you reside now? Thanks for sharing in my response! [JJ4Ever]

Ohhhh....just one? Well, there are many places I'd love to visit for a stretch of a couple of months at a time - Ireland, Egypt, Austrlia, Sweden, Switzerland (the Alps! - although maybe I'm saying that now that the -blech!- warm weather is here), and so many places I don't even know that I don't know! But, I think I MUST at some point in my life find a way to get a first-hand peak, taste, smell, listen and look at Greece. Just it's ancient and historic presence, which is, after all, a living, breathing, Modern society NOW just absolutely causes me to ITCH to experience some of it. [stanwshura]
I have never been to Greece. The closest I got was Southern Cyprus. But there is a wealth of history and culture that just needs to be seen. I hope that you get there one day. [p1kef1sh]

There are many places that i really wanted to visit but i just pick one to participate in your discussion.I would love to go to Paris.I heard so much about it and if given a chance i want to be there. [giePortlandOR_08]
Thank you!My hubby been there long time ago before we meet and he said it is a very nice place. He likes their structural views. [giePortlandOR_08]

If I were able to visit just one country in the World, I would want to be in an island where there are beautiful and gorgeous nature and definitely a good life to cherish and spend my days there. New Zealand sounds like a good idea, but my top wish list for now would have to be Italy, especially the luscious Tuscany. I just couldn't get my mind off that place since I've been there, so if I could visit just one country, it definitely would have to be Tuscany. [zed_k4]
Thank you, my friend. I hope to be there soon. [zed_k4]

I would love to visit three places - England, Ireland and Scotland - My mom is from Twickenham, she came to Canada when she was 11 years old. My dad's family is from Scotland - we also have Irish descendants - not sure where they come in - but I would love to visit these three places, just because of the family connection. Lexa [LexaNightShadows]
I hope that you get over here sometime Lexa. Twickenham is the home of English rugby! The who place is dominated by the Stadium. But it is a lovely part of London and has a fabulous Italian Deli! My mind is never very far from food!! [p1kef1sh]

That would be an easy one for me to answer. My husband is from the Netherlands and I have never been there. He always talks about his homeland and I hope to one day visit with him. [ElusiveButterfly]
Holland is fantastic place. Lovely geography, interesting heritage and culture and friendly people, but you know that bit already! I hope that you get over soon. [p1kef1sh]

I would like to go to Australia. I figure that it is so far away that I would never get there on my own, and I would presume that it would come about because a rich uncle of mine died, or I found that I had one. I heard that part of it has a Mediterranean climate and it is not as crowded. It also large and a friend of mine came from there and showed pictures of where they lived and it was beautiful. [suspenseful]
Australia is vast but I am sure that it has everything possible going for it. Hope that rich uncle comes in for you! [p1kef1sh]

Well actually, I just went to Ireland this past month and it was beautiful! We stayed in cottages out in the country, so from out my bedroom window every morning I woke up to see the rolling hills, the stone wall fences, and the sheep grazing. It was so peaceful there! Since I went there, now I would really love to just travel the world! There is so much to see and many people never take the opportunity (or can't afford) to go see it all! [SBrucePINK]
Ireland is a beautiful country. I am pleased that you enjoyed your trip. [p1kef1sh]

Kazakhstan. Specifically Baikonur Cosmodrome. Probably an unusual choice, but I'd love to visit the place where Sputnik was launched, Yuri Gagarin embarked on the first manned space mission and so many other historic space "firsts" took place. I've been to Kennedy Space Centre and Cape Canaveral (which I'd recommend to anyone remotely interested in space travel) so it's logical that I'd want to see the "other side's" facilities too. [Citizen_Stuart]
Thanks. Apparently there are companies that organise trips, but it's very expensive. I've heard of an outfit that does a package where you visit Star City, meet cosmonauts and have a go on the simulators, then go down to Baikonur to watch a Soyuz launch. One day.. [Citizen_Stuart]

Well...Ive been to Ireland, Scotland, Spain and Germany. So thats them countries out, am hoping to go to the Shetland Islands this year to visit my dad. I would like to go further across the world like Australia, to see the sights, the beaches, Autralian Zoo and to enjoy the culture!! [cinderella2007]
I think its fantasic that his daughter is continuing in his foot steps. I enjoyed watching Steve Irwin on the telly. I thought he was amazing how he was able to understad how the crocs were feeling by the way they displayed themselves. He did everything in the crocs interest!! Not sure if I will make it to Australia as it is very expensive!! [cinderella2007]

I would love to travel the whole of Australia. We have heard so much of the Land of Kangaroos. It is such a huge continent with a diverse of climates, people and food. However, it is my choice to do a home stay with the locals preferably the farms or villages. By doing so, you get to learn first hand about the people's lifestyle, culture and the authentic home cooked food. Fortunately, in my country, Thailand, we do have such accommodations and is quite popular among the travelers. Do you know what is the difference between seeing places and experiencing places? I would rather be a traveler, than a tourist. [financialindepent]
My father used to work regularly in Thailand and he and my mother love your country and its people. Australia is a very popular destination. Many people here would like to visit . Thank you and welcome to myLot. [p1kef1sh]

i dream to go to London, most of my friends are their and they send me messages through email that this place is also nice for us to enjoy. I want also to witness the great Eiffel Tower. The famous tower in London. [julyteen]
sorry i made a mistakes. what in my mind the tower is part of europe. i'm very sorry for that. [julyteen]

if I have to pick a country I never have been to before it would be Marocco. Simply because back in my hometown I knew some people from there and they were so friendly, it would sure be great to see their homecountry. But before going there I would like to learn some bits and pieces of Arabic to be able to talk to people and to understand some of what is said. [book1962]
I think that Morocco would be a wonderful place to visit too. I have seen it from Gibraltar many times, but the closest I ever got was a shop selling Moroccan leather ware. Good choice Breath. [p1kef1sh]

I have always wanted to go to Thailand. I would love to visit anywhere in Asia but Thailand seems so beautiful. [skinnychick]
Probably have a few KFC's! LOL [skinnychick]

Sorry, I have 2 places I would like to go. I would like to go to Canada and visit a friend there, and I would like to go to England to visit a friend there too. I would like for my friend in England to show me around and maybe take me to see the changing of the guards there. If I really have to choose one I will choose England... but I want to go to both countries. [OreoCookie3]
Canada is a fine country and the one that I would go back to in a heartbeat. Funnily enough I have seen the Changing of the Guard many many times but there was one occasion about twenty years ago when I took some American friends of my parents to visit London. We went to see the Changing of the Guard at Horseguards Parade and I was explaining that the arch into the courtyard there can only be driven under by The Queen. As I said it, the Guards on parade all drew themselves to attention and The Queen drove through! They thought that I had arranged it especially for them. Just coincidence I am afraid. [p1kef1sh]

There are so many places I would love to go but many are in America and I have been there so they are ruled out! I have always been very intrigued by the culture and history of Russia and would love to go there and immerse myself in the country, the language and the history of the country. I did learn the russian alphabet and some of the language when I was 13 or 14 but have not really retained much of it - I do not think I will get very far with the knowledge that Karandash means pencil! lol xxx [mummymo]
I hadn't even thought of that one sweetheart! Hee hee hee always look on the bright side! xxx [mummymo]

Japan has a wonderful tradition and culture. I hope that you get there one day. [p1kef1sh]

There are a lot of places I would love to visit. But the one place I have always dreamed of going is England. I would need atleast two weeks. I love history, especially british history, my favorite historical figures would be Henry and Elizabeth Tudor. I would love to stand where they stood, touch what they touched. I long to see what they saw. From what I can tell, England has kept alot of their history. [laglen]
I live in England and we certainly have retained a huge amount of historical sites - castles, stately homes, battle fields etc. I hop that you make it over some time. [p1kef1sh]

I have always wanted to visit Turkey. My husband and I are thinking of going to Turkey, at some point in the next year or so, as soon as we have saed up enough money to really travel. He works in the USA, and I work in Canada, so we spend enouh money travelling between those two countries. [danishcanadian]
Turkey is where the East meets the West they say. It must be a fascinating place. I hope that the two of you get there soon. [p1kef1sh]

I wish I could pick just one, Ibiza, Greece, Rome, Egypt, Jamaica... I want to go somewhere where it looks like everything is untouched. Natural beauty. Water, palm trees, mountains, ice and snow, I want to see it all.... ***dreaming*** [Pitgull]
It's all out there for the taking. I hope that you make all those places. [p1kef1sh]
