i don't have a camera, so i will not to take many photoes when i am travelling. and i want to buy one.
i don't think it is neccessary to take photo when you are travelling. i seldom to remeber to have a photo with the view.

I believe half of the excitement and half of the reason for going travelling is so you can take as many pictures as possible - the places you've been, the people you've met and other things you've seen. There are some beautiful sights in this world and not only that, if you actually take an amazing picture - it can be worth some money! For me it is essential that I have a camera with me when I travel overseas. Over the last 19 years I have taken photos on each of my trips. I didn't used to have a very good camera but now I have a great one with an excellent zoom on it. I really enjoy taking photos of scenery and native animals. I have got a book shelf with glass doors and on the top shelf I keep all my travel photos. I have collected postcards and often these are better than my photos. Everyone travels for different reasons. There are times when I go somewhere and take very few pictures. Those times, I am just looking for some time to relax and not have to worry about anything. If that is why you travel, then there is no reason to take lots of pictures! It would only add to the stress of a vacation if you dont enjoy it. That defeats the purpose of the vacation. Most times, I take tons and tons of pictures. I like to share my experiences with other people. I like to have those pictures as reminders of the good times I have had. The best thing about traveling is actually being there, so maybe pictures are not so important for the person who has seen the place. However I like taking pictures of places I have visited so I remember some details that only with pictures can be seen. Also, it's nice to share with others, maybe when talking about cities o countries, it's nice to see the image. i seldom take pictures too. and it is really not my style to take pictures. but when you travel, sometimes there are sceneries that you will just see once in your lifetime. that is the time that you have to use a camera. well that is for my case. i dont know about you. i only take pictures that are a rarity to be seen by me. I do not know if it is the same all over the world, but in the United States most places you can go have picture postcards. They have a better view and layout than I could ever come up with, so I usually buy postcards with pictures on them. [GardenGerty]

I like to take pictures if I can. And the digital cameras make everything very easy. You can just delete the picture that didnīt come out as you wanted. But I donīt think it is necessary to take pictures. If you want to have an image of a certain place and donīt have a camera you can always buy a postcard. When we went to Europe the first time with my husband (before the digital cameras existed), we took a couple of bad pictures posing in front of some nice place but bought postcards to have a really good picture with us. However, my mother loves to see herself in photographs, so that she can show everyone where she's been. I use my digital camera to take photos, mainly to make money out of them. i don't have a camera too,i am travelling only for relax and view scents,i don't like take photo,but if our colleague or my friends ask me to take a photo with them, or want to take photo for me,i will n't refuse.so for me, photo isn't necessary when i'm on travelling. [haiershen]
I really recommend that you buy a digital camera! Not only to document your travels, but to have you for special and not so special occasions! A nice cloud formation, spring flowers, autumn colors, family or friend reunions and so many other things! You don't need to spend any money developing pictures, so you can just pick and choose the ones you want to keep. The computer also allows you to share those pictures! [sylvia13]
For me, taking pictures (with you in the picture, of course, not only the places) is one of the most essential things to do when you are travelling, especially when going out of the country. It would be nice to have photos of the unique places you visit. It doesn't need to be an expensive camera. You only need a simple cellphone with a camera and you can take as many photos as you want. I don't think taking pictures is really necessary in travelling, travel is to enjoy the journey, not something that bother you and make you fell tired, nevertheless, some people enjoy taking pictures in their journey, but not me.
