to visit my parents for a couple of days. I've got everything except the one thing that I will only discover is missing once I get there. In the past it has been hairbrushes razors, shirts (!) underwear, socks, you name it I've forgotten it. What do you forget when you travel that causes one of those "Oh shlt" moments?

Oh nice, your parents in England too ? I am quite good at packing,in fact i will be doing it soon,i am going to Perth for 5-7 days.Cant think of anything i have forgotten with previous packing, must have been something tho...camera maybe happy [LoudnProud]
Near Oxford LnP. I've remembered my camera. Have a good holiday in Perth. Australia is lovely they say (LOL. I know that you are staying in Scotland). [p1kef1sh]
I have probably forgotten the "normal" things like toothbrush, pants, etc. and I have regularly gone out without nappies when my kids needed them. These are all things we can buy of course and won't be a waste. However, last month my sister and I went to a concert and I forgot the tickets! Luckily, my sister was driving and the place was in the town where we live. So we could drive back to mine for the tickets in plenty of time. I had checked I had got everything as well. It's just good that the event was so close. I don't know what we would have done had we not been able to get the tickets! [pumpkinjam]
I bet that she drove "like a bat out of hell" to fetch them too Pumpkin! (Groan). [p1kef1sh]
Hi P1kef1sh, I try to pack everything correctly because I always write down what all I need. But suddenly while going out with friends I have forgotten and said Oh Sh** like you say. I once forgot to take my specs with me and I had to sit through for a long time that I returned with a headache. But befire travelling I make sure I do not forget anything.. I won't be able to buy there because it is a village.. and will not get many of our things. [madlees]
I cannot peek at the computer P1kew1sh , even for a while. I get a headache .. That too I went to the office without specs!!!??!! what do you say for that. Things happen sometimes, not all days are alike right? Then what did you do? did you get a headache too?? [madlees]
Let us know what you leave behind. I do not go anywhere often. The last time I went anywhere was when my mum was in hospital. I had everything I needed for the trip there and back. It was on coming home I left things behind. Luckily I stayed at my sisters house, so it did not matter leaving things there. [Goodie123]
I make sure I check motel rooms really good before leaving. I do not want to leave anything behind there. At least leaving it at my sisters I got it back. [Goodie123]
hi P1kef1sh have a nice time with your parents and I hope this time you will not forget to bring anything with you. Just go and check the things you just talked about because these seem to be the things you forget the most often. When you give me your e mail addy a little surprise will wait for you when you get back home................ The only thing that would cause one of these "oh sh1t" moments is forgetting my glucometer to measure blood sugar levels in the morning. lol. [book1962]
hi P1kef1sh hope you enjoyed the time with your parents and are happy you went to see them. have a wonderful weekend and take time to relax. Hope the weather is nice and sunny in UK too right now. [book1962]
Hi, I normally make a packing list 1 week before the travel. So, by the time it's time to start, I would have added many things to the list and thus have not forgotten anything. I checklist the things before traveling and make sure that I have everything I need for the travel and for the stay. Regards [lavenderbloom]
That's very organised. I am very impressed! [p1kef1sh]
I have those moments on a daily basis, as a matter of fact, all of us in the household have a lot of them, because I hear just that comment on an hourly babis.. I have been lucky because I am so precise and "schoolteacherish" when I am packing and I do make lists while packing and pack for a few days before the trip.. But a couple of years ago, my son had one when we got to the beach, it was, Oh sh*t, I forgot my underwear, all of it.. He got a complete new wardrobe of undies at a great shop in Florida, but it was like the markdown 10.00 pairs of Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, and other overpriced name brands.. [DonnaLawson]
Thanks Donna. We had a great time. I've forgotten underwear in the past. I forgot my toothbrush this time! [p1kef1sh]
hi there i have just come back from being on holiday @ kitten1954"s place & when i thought i had every-thing packed we left for our trip home. well that was fine we got maybe 5mins down the road & some-one relised they left some-thing behind well i turned round & went back. we actually turned back for our phone charger then relised that when i went back in to the house that indeed we had left our toiletry's which was easy enough to get as they are cheep enough to get again anyway but it was beside the point we still left it behind. latas lamb101 xoxoxoxoxoxoxxoxo [lamb101]
hi there i quite agree with you. it would'ev been a horrible thing to get far away like almost all the way home & then remember it. latas lamb101 xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo [lamb101]
Well firstly may I say that I wish you a lovely time whilst you are away, enjoy and have fun with the family. I am quite organised when packing and have reacked my brains but can't think of a time when I have ever forgotten anything, oh yes I have my mobile phone charger but that wasn't a problem as I an in car charger so went for a drive to top battery up LOL. So no 'oh, sh*t' moments for me. You watch now I have said that I will probably forget to take something with me for the wedding this weekend as going away myself. Ellie:D [ellie333]
We had a lovely time. Just my parents and me. Remember the present! I forgot to take my toothbrush, but my mum had a new one spare fortunately. [p1kef1sh]
First off have a fabulous visit with the folks!! What causes my "oh caca" moments LOL...forgetting comfortable walking shoes... [Ravenladyj]
We had a very good time thanks. Comfortable shoes are a must. [p1kef1sh]
i always packed my things ahead of time or earlier since i dont like to forget anything that is necessary especially the ones that you stated above.. [vanities]
You are much more organised than me Vanities. I forgot my toothbrush this time! [p1kef1sh]
Hi there p1ke1sh, I am very forgetful so prior packing I always need to have a list of things that I need to bring especially if I am going far or it takes for me to be away for like 2-3 days...IN that way, I am sure that I have everything that I need since I hate to realize later that I left this and that and I need to buy another one or to borrow....I always want not to be forgetful, but maybe this is just really the real me..LOL! ENjoy your vacation and I know you will have lots of fun! [checapricorn]
Wow! that's great...Actually I am not organized,LOL just a lesson learned from the past! Enjoy! [checapricorn]
Afternoon Piky...well you have to ask yourself does it really matter if I forget something??and on the whole the answer is NO..unless its someting that cant be replaced with ease...like pills!!but no im not into worrying whether i have everything in my bag..as long as the bare essentials are there..what the h888...those eights were meant to be stars..but im in a dyslexic typing mood yet again!!...a carrier bag..preferably not a Lidls one lol..and a couple of pairs of knicks,a clean tee shirt...Oh and maybe a pair of sox and off I go..I hear you say Oh Rubes you sexy old thing ...but thats about my lot if its just for a day or two...plus the pressie for Mum...and Dad in your case!!!....but anyway have a good time ...enjoy!! [ruby222]
I did enjoy thanks Ruby. I like to travel light too. [p1kef1sh]
Wow, holiday! Hope you're going to have fun with your parents! I rarely forget things when I travel, cause I don't really bring much stuff. But once, when I was in high school, and I joined this nature lover group. One day, we had camping time, we went to this mountain out of town, to camp. It was a very cold place, very very cold place, and we've been warmed before we pack. And, yes, I forgot my jacket. OMG, it was so cold! A friend lend me his sweater, his thin blue sweater, I'm thankful but it seems to have no warming effect whatsoever. And thankfully, since we were only juniors at that time, we were put to this one tiny tent and the 5/6 of us sleep in that tent, so I'm kinda glad cause sleeping with packs like that, was kinda warming. [ucancallmedissy]
You must have been very cross with yourself. At least you friend had a spare sweater even if it was thin. [p1kef1sh]
My worst was when we forgot the suitcase. We packed all the other stuff tents, pillows, food but no suitcase. We had to stop and buy clothing and all other essentials we felt so stupid. It ruined the trip right when we found out. [minnie_98214]
Whooops Minnie. That must have put a damper on the holiday for you. [p1kef1sh]
Hey P1key, have a good time with your parents!! I might be visiting my mum for the night tomorrow so wont have much to pack but even still, it is a nightmare when you forget things. Luckily most things can be replaced. I once went on holiday and forgot my nightwear but that was because the ones i was taking i was wearing at the time!!! Lesson learnt!! Also my boyfriend forgot his shoes when we went to attend my brothers wedding, luckily we had time in the morning to nip to the shops to find a cheap pair!!! I always make a list of things that need packing and still forget things. I think it comes natural, you cant go away unless you forget something. Have fun xxx [cinderella2007]
Ive left most of my Wallace and Gromit stuff there but have condensed three boxes into one and a half(ish). Ive got a couple of bits but most of it has either been shredded, thrown in the bin or gone to a charity shop!! I had some payslips from eight years ago so they have gone. I was surprised by what was there. I also found out that I had duplicates of a some Wallace and Gromit things so am going to sell them (maybe!!) Your mum obviously knows what you are like so was prepared with spare toothbrushes!! lol [cinderella2007]
happy Good morning P1kef1sh. (Ooops, afternoon for you!) I hope you'll have a great time visiting with your parents! Don't forget your pants. Serious about that. lol I know two different people who on two different trips, forgot to pack their pants. I usually have lists started days ahead of time so that I won't forget anything. If I do, I always know where there's a store near where I'm visiting so that I can just buy what I forgot. [katiedoubleu]
We had a good time thanks. You are very organised. [p1kef1sh]
I used to have to take a special medicine before going to bed to prevent my hands from swelling. I left my home in Kansas City, to drive to Washington DC to house hunt for an upcoming big move, and the first night I slept away, I realized that I didn't bring it. I called my doctor's phone service and he told me an over the counter I could take. The alternitve made me groggy and sick feeling. I spent two nights in hotels because driving at night with the meds was torture, and by the time I got to my destination, I was swollen like a overfilled ballon. [Katesmama]
That sounds horrible Mama. I don't understand the US system, but presumably you couldn't go to a hospital or to another doctor and get them from there? But driving when you are unewell is definitely one of my least favorite things. I hope that you found a house at least. [p1kef1sh]
Lol! I have had those moments several times. I have forgotten tooth brushes, medications,Hairbrushes( I won't use others),Bra,even Panties a few times. Invites to a future party,Pictures and many things I probably and forgetting..does that count if I have left my mind behind??lol [mtdewgurl74]
I must confess I will never be considered a Boy Scout..maybe that should be Girl Scout.. [mtdewgurl74]
I forgot my lip gloss once. A new one I had bought for a trip. :( I felt naked without it. I had to settle for another drugstore brand that I didn't like as much. It's the little things I can't live without. LOL [skinnychick]
I always take my "little thing" with me Skinny! It was my toothbrush this time! [p1kef1sh]
Nice... oliday is coming... [blowing55]
My "oh sh!t" items are deodorant, toothpaste, or socks. I know all of these are easily replaced upon reaching one's destination, it's just highly inconvenient to get out of the shower and not have half the stuff you need! So...oh, sh!t! Happy visiting! [FaerieAne2003]
Visiting was good. I forgot my toothbrush! [p1kef1sh]
I tend to forget things when going on day trips only. Usually when going to the beach. Since in my mind frame its just for a day, I tend to be more lax in packing. I have forgotten underwear, lingerie, soap, shampoo....those little things you tend to really forget. But when I have to travel for more than a day, I can't recall a time that I forgot something. I usually make a check list so I could omit forgetting something. So far it has proven to be effective. [lorelie78n]
I forgot my toothbrush! A check list is way to organised for me!! [p1kef1sh]
And I will be off to my University within a few days to sit for my Annual examinations! What a contrast it is with you, isn't it ? But I will have lots of fun I suppose once that is over after about a month or so. Best of luck to you; [chirantani]
Thank you. I hope that your exams go well. [p1kef1sh]
I've just come to accept the fact that I will ALWAYS forget SOMETHING. Luckily I don't travel out of the country and if I forget something it's usually something small that I can pick up easily without much inconvenience. I hope you have a nice time on your trip. :-) [miamilady]
I had a good time thanks. I forgot my toothbrush! [p1kef1sh]
I hope you have a lovely trip happy I seem to always forget my swimming suit and that is when it is much needed. I then have to drive all out of the way to find a store that sells them , and by that time summer is almost over and they have nothing worth getting . This happened to me a few years back when I went to the lake . The nearest store was like 20 miles away . My fiance once forgot a book he was reading and that made him mad . It was not like he could go to a store because it was an older one . I also will forget maybe small things and have to re buy when I get there. [metschica25]
I had a lovely time thank you. Both those things must have been annoying at the time. I have often gone to an hotel with a Pool only to discover that I should have brought swimming trunks! [p1kef1sh]
I always try to remember to pack everything and as I'm packing I will go through mental situations and list where I need things and I will pack those things that come to mind but you know how it is, there's still always manages to be something that you leave behind despite the efforts not to forget anything. I found that it's important not to rush through packing or to wait til the last minute because that's when the real mistakes happen... [MrsFairWells]
Man, that sux! Sorry...I've done this many times myself and I hate when I do it too... [MrsFairWells]
I am also famous for forgetting things usually razors, deodorant, things of that nature but last year I got 10 miles from the air port before realizing that I left my purse sitting on the chair by my dads front door. I wouldn't have been getting on a plane to go anywhere without that...lol I'm trying to be better this year. I don't leave for another 6 weeks and my suitcase is already half packed. lol [cynicalandoutspoken]
What do you need. Swimsuits and................... Have a great time. I know that you will. [p1kef1sh]
For me, most times it was always my hairbrush. I have quite thick hair and dragging a comb through it without brushing it first can bring tears of pain to my eyes. My partner doesn't generally brush his hair, because he washes it and sticks a ball cap on, so there's no need for him to use a brush, plus his hair is very short anyway. I once forgot my toothbrush, necessitating a trip to the nearest store which was 50kms away, only to find that I didn't like what Brushes they were selling, and I also once managed to forget to pack one of my towels. It was right there on the bed when I zipped my suitcase up, but for whatever reason, it never occurred to me that it should be IN my case. These days, I make out a list of things to be packed weeks in advance. Then I add more things to it that I remember as time gets closer. Then the list is used as a checklist for when I pack so that I know that I have everything that I need, and more - just in case! [angelwhispers30]
I've left things in the bed before. This time I forgot my toothbrush! Forgetting a hairbrush is annoying though. I have done that many times. Fortunately most hotels have combs that they can let you have. [p1kef1sh]
not that i travel a lot, but i do usually forget something, this past weekend we went away and while i did bring citrenella bracelets for the kids, i forgot bug spray for the rest of us and the bugs were BAD! [cher913]
That must have been very annoying. I forgot my toothbrush! [p1kef1sh]
Lol well I am pretty good and hardly ever forget anything but when I do it is normally my Hairbrush lol I hope you have a great time P1ke [gabs8513]
I've done that before Gabs. But this trip it was my toothbrush that got left behind! Good job that my Mum had a spare new one. [p1kef1sh]
All I can say is thank goodness your parents have a computer! I forget things all the time! It's crazy. But I usually do pretty well when I pack, because I know how scattered I get. I go over and over the things I need, and check to see if they're there. It's usually coming back that I forget something. Once, when I was 33 (I remember how old I was because it was right after I got my tubes tied) I went to the Ozarks with my sister and a friend, had the most wonderful time, and left my favorite hand-made, custom sandals there at the cabin. I had worn them for about 10 years already, but they still had life in them. I was so devastated about it. I called them, but no sandals were reported being left there. sad I've never since had a pair like them and I never will again either. ;sniff; still hurts..... [novataylor]
Losing something that you love is so hard Nova. I once left a pair of expensive Sunglasses in a hire car. I rang them within 15 minutes of dropping the car back. Did they have them? Did they heck! [p1kef1sh]
hi pikefish at least you forgot stuff you can pretty replace if need be. twice I have packed to go on a visit and forgot my seven day planner with its meds, thus making it necessary to go back and get it as I am a diabetic and must have my daily pills. alas if I forget.Something that is a must you would think one would pack first. lol. [Hatley]
Forgetting meds is awful Hatley. I am an asthmatic. I was once hospitalised briefly because I forget my inhaler when away on a trip. Definitely not a fun night!! [p1kef1sh]
I usually forget bringing my charger or even my toothbrush that's why I always ended up buying in a convenience store [carrotcake14]
I forgot my toothbrush this trip!! [p1kef1sh]
It varys and mostly things you listed above and always, always something that I just could not live without so had to go out and buy. The worst one was when I went to my aunt's for xmas and somehow forgot a huge bag of gifts and of course some of them were for little kids. I felt so bad but it all worked out...it gave them something to look forward to after that after-xmas let down. [sid556]
That must have been an awful moment Sid. As you say though. It was a pleasant surprise later. [p1kef1sh]
The worst thing that happened to me was that I forgot to bring a charger for my cell. I only found out about it when I had only 1 bar left. Panicked, I hurried over to the hotel lobby and asked around. Sadly, no one had a charger for my cell (I used a Samsung one then) so I just had to grin and bear it. :( Hopefully you've mastered packing this time around and won't be forgetting anything. Enjoy your trip p1kef1sh. :) [mimico]
I don't have a cell phone apart from the once in my car. But I used to have one for work and that went flat a few times! "Good" was my thought. Stopped them bothering me! [p1kef1sh]
hi fish. enjoy the vacation. i'm sure your parents appreciate you coming over to visit them. as for your question, i've forgotten shirts and underwear as well. also forgot to bring a Camera one time. good thing i got a celphone that has camera features. if its something that can be brought in the trip, i buy it durign the trip. if it's something really important, i try to have it shipped to my hotel. [allen0187]
I had a good trip thanks Allen. But I forgot my toothbrush! [p1kef1sh]
i will also go home tomorrow. i miss my parents though it's just a half hour drive and i just went home last month. but thinking that i will be working out of town in a month time, i will be missing all of them. i'm going to cry now. cry i'm not use to live away from them like out of town distance. right now i can easily go home but if my job starts, i cant just do it anytime. i will be spending my free time, whenever i get one, for the rest of my remaining one month there at home. [thaMARKER]
I hope that it works out well and that you get to see them again soon. [p1kef1sh]
Well imagine flying to the otherside of the world, thinking the weather would be so much warmer during winter and found out you need not only your winter coat too, winter clothing and they were all the way across the Atlantic ocean and you didn't budget to buy clothing. This happen to me....I could have sworn that little island had tropical weather in mid-winter how wrong I was. [gtdonna]
Yikes that must have been a shock. I used to visit Gibraltar and Cyprus frequently. Gib was always pleasantly warm, but Cyprus could be blooming nippy in winter. I always forgot a warm pullover! [p1kef1sh]
undies.yes i have forgotten my underwear.i had to rush off to brisbane at short notice and i think i packed a change of clothes and a toothbrush, thats all.i had to go to the shops when i realised i had no undies.lol.cheers sue [suehan1]
You were just being fashionable Sue and going commando as they say!@! [p1kef1sh]
I once was so busy packing everything for my kids and husband to visit my parents for a couple of weeks that I forgot to pack my shoes. Half way to Chicago I discovered I was only wearing house slippers. Luckily my aunt gave me a pair of shoes to wear while I was there. [KarenO52]
LOL. That must have been very embarrassing at the time. Good job that Aunty was the same size. [p1kef1sh]
I am very forgetful. There are a lot of times that it is my wallet that i forgot with all my money [asawanialvin0611]
I remember my wallet. But there is never any money in it! [p1kef1sh]
My husband ALWAYS forgets to take his hairbrush! I have no idea why ... it's just one of those weird things. Consequently, we always end up having to find a convenience store where he can buy one - thus he has five hairbrushes at home now! My son is far worse - he goes every month to stay in an hotel for a week to do his TAFE course - and always manages to leave something expensive behind. Once it was his skincare treatment which had cost me $70 and was new - but the last time it was a pair of steel capped workboots. He phoned the hotel afterwards to ask them to keep them for him ... but they said they hadn't got them. Bummer. [guybrush]
Bummer indeed. I always find it amusing that hotels that boast "wonderful customer service" forget that you ever existed the minute that you leave. [p1kef1sh]
i've been noturious about forgetting my toothbrush and blankets. I have a thing where I have to take my own pillows and blankets when I go somewhere. LOL!! I really wish that I could remember everything all the time but there are times when I do remember and guess what I am estactic. [bellaofchaos]
I worry that I have forgotten something; and usually I have. I forgot my toothbrush this time! [p1kef1sh]
I seldom forgot anything. One day before I leave, I prepare all the things that I would need and double check it to be sure. If ever I forgot something, I'll drop by to a convenience store to buy that thing. [mother_earth]
That's fine if there is a store close by. You sound very organised though. I just throw in what I think that I need and then moan loudly when I arrive and discover that I've forgotten something. [p1kef1sh]
The last time I traveled it was shampoo I forgot. We were staying in a hotel though so it wasn't a problem. Well except for the fact that my daughter can't stand hotel shampoo, she says it's cheap and makes her hair tangle, I was lucky though there was a CVS right across the road so I was able to get her some shampoo she could use. [valerie37]
I think that they do. But my daughter though is one too that her hair tangles easily anyway unless she uses she uses only certain brands. [valerie37]
the last time i went away i went and left my Bath towel so i ended up using a hotels tiny flannel thing...i went through my case when i was leaving then noticed that i'd left my towel...silly me....next time it will be the first thing i put in the case... [tattylashes]
LOL the worst thing about it was, i asked the receptionist for more towels and all i got was hand towels, and i had to share them with my partner..LOL...each time i go away now i make sure the towels go in the case first....happy [tattylashes]
Fortunately, p1kef1sh, I am one of those people who makes lists and checks and rechecks them. It has been quite awhile since I last went on a trip, but I definitely did not forget to bring anything along. I remember when I was waiting to go to the hospital to deliver my first baby many years ago. I had my bag packed several weeks in advance-just to be safe.lolDuring the weeks leading up to my actual admission to the hospital I packed and repacked my bag several times which caused my aunt to tell me that I was going to wear out the clothing before I ever got the chance to use them.blush [worldwise1]
LOL. You are clearly a forward planner. I just shove stuff in my bag on the way out! That's why stuff gets forgotten. [p1kef1sh]
I don't think I've forgotten anything that I couldn't buy (wet wipes for the baby) and I've never forgotten the toothbrush yet. But I always forget to pack my lens case...so I have two cases now and one stays in my travelling bag. [SViswan]
I'm the same with shaving brushes. This time though I forgot my toothbrush! Fortunately my mother had a new spare one. [p1kef1sh]
I forgot my Cds with my novel drafts on it, and there was something else, but I found that if I packed the night before I do not forget a thing. It is when I decide to pack the day I leave that I forget things. Never forget anything like clothes, but sometimes I put them in my husband's bag and since he always takes more shirts and pants than he will ever need, I wind up thinking I lost it or it was stolen, until we get home. That happened when we returned from our Alaska cruise. [suspenseful]
Oh dear. My dad once had his bag swopped with another traveller; a woman! That caused my mother to raise her eyebrows!! [p1kef1sh]
I've had these moments as well, we went camping, and of course I forgot my hairbrush so I had tangled hair for 3 days, not good. didn't even have a pony tail holder to just pull it up, and once I had forgotten my curling iron, so I had flat hair day for several days. I'm sure there are many more things and times I forgot stuff, just too many to count.lol [bizmom24]
I forgot my toothbrush this trip. But I've forgotten my hairbrush many times. Strange thing is that although I buy new ones; they go missing too!! Welcome to myLot by the way. [p1kef1sh]
My hairdryer. It never fails. It's always the last item I use that needs to be packed in a suitcase and I invariably leave it in the bathroom. The minute my hair realizes it's not going to be blow dried, it goes nuts and turns to frizz. Payback's a b*tch! LOL [sparkofinsanity]
What a pain Sparky. Hotels often have hairdryers. But if you are going elsewhere it's a blow. [p1kef1sh]
Yeah, while we are in hurry generally in our daily life to our work place also we forget something or the other. And especially while travelling something will be missing and we have to buy it from outside. [chinnu3579]
It is a pain when you forget something Chinnu. [p1kef1sh]
Fraid im pretty prepared here at this end,I have a list and then I throw all thats on the list into my bag, usually it ends up ok and im not into forgetting much, not that it mayyers a lot if I do forget, just pop out and get it,no end to the world or mankind there. [Abby123]
That's how I ought to be Abby. But I am not that organised. [p1kef1sh]
I know just what you mean. I have forgotten my hair brush, tooth brush and paste, a certain outfit I wanted to take, and I think the worst ws my perscription meds. I have also for my extra shoes for comfort when I get there. Or for a lot of walking. And when I get to my destination finding it's colder or hotter than usual or than I had remembered and had to buy more appropriate things, lol. Have a safe and wonderful trip. [moondancer]
I'm back! But we had a lovely time thank you. I forgot my toothbrush! [p1kef1sh]
I have forgotten deoderant that was still sitting on my dresser and I used it just before I ran out the door. I have also forgot things like gifts for a birthday person I am going to visit...or their card and have to either stop someplace to get it or be totally embarassed when I tell them that I have left it behind! [jillhill]
I've forgotten gift. But that just makes the giving all the more exciting a month or so later! [p1kef1sh]
I think this is the first year we haven't forgotten to take something with us or left something behind! usually we leave things that are vital like underwear or clothes! lol Hope you had a great time! xxx [mummymo]
LOL She did remember those p1ke thankfully! xxx [mummymo]
yup i have. and i always live in fear of them. especially for work travel. when i forget something important it could really cause a lot of pain. anyway, i think a recent incident i can remember was when i brought my phone but not my phone charger. a good lot of use a phone is without a charger. and it's not cheap to replace that especially in a foreign country that doesn't sell the same brands. oh well. [squaretile]
I don't have that problem. I don't have a mobile phone except in my car and that is being charged all the time. But I used to have a work one and often forgot the charger. Shame really. They couldn't get me! LOL. [p1kef1sh]
I always forget something, usually my nightgown. I have zillions of nightgowns now because I always have to go out and buy when when I realize I've forgotten to pack it. Last weekend I forgot my soap and my book. I think there were other things I forgot too, but I don't remember what they were. [reinydawn]
Oh, that's not a good one to forget. You usually wont realize it until you are ready to use it, then you have to go out and buy one without having brushed your teeth... [reinydawn]
I took a weekend trip to Houston and forgot nearly everything! I think the thing I missed the most was my hairbrush! [ElicBxn]
I recently went to visit my dad to celebrate his 95th birthday. He is 300 klms away. I was about 10klm away from home when I got that feeling..."I've forgotten something" I didn't dwell on it because I knew I had all the important stuff cos I had made "Lists"! Sure enough, I get to Dad's place and the night before his birthday, I'm setting up his cake and some Candles and I realise what I forgot...his birthday card! Dad's not fussed on gifts but he loves cards, especially funny ones. To make matters worse...no-one had sent him a card! [MsTickle]
Poor Dad. But at least you made it there. That has to be better than any card. [p1kef1sh]
Did you have a good time with your parents? And what did you forget to take with you this time? I usually forget to pack something to do when I go away, so I end up sleeping more if the weather is bad or watching way too much television. Now, I try and make sure something for me to do is the first thing I pack so that I don't end up breaking the holiday budget. Craft shops are so inviting at the best of times. [newzealtralian]
At least it wasn't a budget breaking item! lol. A good motel and a nice place to eat are what I like. Finding my own fun is what gives me the most amusement. [newzealtralian]
Hi, I am well organised here, and on the worktop in the kitchen there will be a writing pad,and each time I pass the pad I will add the things that I need to pack,it is a rare occasion that I will go away and forget someting, the list usaully gets checked thoroughly before I put the lid of the suitcase down, then it is all ready to go.get a pad,it helps [LOULOU323]
I am impressed LouLou. We have a pad too. Nothing written on it though! LOL. I must try harder. [p1kef1sh]
hi p1kef1sh! happy there's no particular thing that i often forget when i'm going out for a travel or just when i'm going out. but i've had some "oh sh!t!" moments i can remember. one was when i forgot my cellphone. i seldom forget to bring it when i'm going out of the house so its really an "oh, sh!t!" moment for me. also whenever i forget to bring money. that's another "oh, sh!t!" moment. another one was when i forgot my cellphone charger in the office. good thing i have an extra charger back home but i don't usually use it because the case of whatchamacallit (the one end you plug to the electricity outlet) is broken. my latest "oh sh!t!" moment was yesterday when i forgot to call someone important about our scheduled training and i also forgot to remind my officemate about the training. thank goodness there are cellphones but it could have been a lot easier if i remembered to call the person and remind my officemate. lol [secretbear]
I don't have a cellphone!!! Well I do in the car but that's built in. My daughter is always forgetting her charger and has to go around trying to find people that have an identical one to hers. LOL. [p1kef1sh]
