What a coincident, I just started a topic about the worst travel which you ever had.... For me, I hate to carry lugages, probablly because when I traveled a lot, I usual moved my staff around as a student, so not a single time I can have a light carrying. [gary1125]
it's not a problem anymore carrying heavy things their are people who you have to pay to carry it or assist you while unloading in a vehicles until you reach your destination and sometimes you could ask for the driver to help you.. [neelianoscet]

I always love travelling. I haven't travelled for a few years now, but one of the problems I found in Italy was that people would come up behind you with a newspaper folded over their arm try to fiddle in your backpack. I've heard they sometimes slash your backpack with a knife too. Mostly my experiences have been good and I kinda forget about the bad ones or have a laugh about them. [DiamondDogs]
yeah, that is true when one travels by land it is better to have your own private vehicles than travel in a crowded bus with a lot of different people with different character and if you are not used to this kind of scenery, it may be annoying and tiresome.. [neelianoscet]

I love wondering new places and especially by train. Because I hardly get chance to travel by rail. By train I can see so many thing outside like trees, birds, animals al the natural beauty. But my experience while traveling once by train was very weird. It was last year when you were traveling and suddenly a lady came near me asking how I am? and all..started conversation while I was not interested but she was continued. I once said..I am not interested in whatever you are saying but still she was like...radio just going on. I got irritated and then I said this to my husband to handle this and sort out. Just tell her to go and sit in her place. He then insisted her to sit in her own place saying that I am not well..:-) I was very much shocked that after she sat on her sit she started mummering about me. It was the worst feeling. I thought is she mad or something that she wants to talk forcely where other is not interested.. [airakumar]
Oh, that is really unnerving experiences, angry that is really irritates you..when you have to enjoy being at peace with yourself by enjoying the scenes along the way an interruption come, which really annoying. Even, though you explain your sides she would not stop talking. That is really kind of a person who like to be the center of attention-an attention seeker which likely spoils your moods and that is why you insist on your husband to sit on besides you for her to leave you. In a situation like that were really cannot control the behavior of the person, as she really uses that way to disturb other passengers, except when you travel in your vehicles you will never be disturb..Anyway that is already done, all you have to do is to keep seeing what on the outside while the train is passing by and never mind the smik on her face..happy [neelianoscet]

I hate to travel with a boring companion. I want that the person who is travelling with should be of a good tempor. He/She must have a good sense of humour. I hate travelling with luggages with me. I dont like when some one travelling with me keeps on insisting me about how to do and what to do and what not to do. I hate when I am being restricted for something. I want my own space while I travel. I dont like carrying fooding stuff with me. I prefer buying on road and enjoy. It has its own zeal. I love travelling empty handed. I'v travelled a lot and will hopefully travel again very much. Travelling is a fun for me. Another thing that I hate is that person behind me should be of good temperament. He/She must not smoke or use abusive languages and all. I prefer happy journey rather than hectic journey. [saurabh27587]
yeah, to enjoy travel in a peak of joy, one must have a cheerful mind and a positive thoughts as it also influences the moods visible in your personality and to those people around you..happy [neelianoscet]

i love travel ling with friends before. now i don't do that more often since the fare or the gasoline is already high.it seems that traveling is already a luxury amidst the financial constraints that the world is facing now. if someone will invite me for free i would be very much willing to go. i love to see places. it was just sad that i don't get to see them more often. when i got the chance to travel with my husband during his event trips i would love to do so. [flagella08]
yeah, the best things in life should come as free, but it rarely happens now days..but beautiful scenes are just around the corners and the beauty of natures is at besthappy [neelianoscet]

Hello, My friends and me last min decided to take a last min Hockey trip to see our team hopefully make the playoffs. This was all thought of within less that one week of the trip . Had to hurry and find tickets , and rent a car . The car was a little smaller and 2 had to sit in the back and all they did is complain and complain! I even gave up my front seat and sat back there and made due. Sure it was cramped but i paid for the car with no help . I had a few I oww you money and well only one person out of 4 paid me . That would of been ok (ugg maybe i didnt have the money lol) just was the complaining and seeing our team lose. Sure there some good times as well . I think with vacations the things that get me the most is money because you cant do all you wanna do and i know my fiance has a hard time just letting go and all he does is think when we get back we need the money . Also, its hard if you get lost or dive in some city like new york city or dc . subway remember that LOL. [metschica25]
Hi metschica and ilyzium..your experiences are something funny and terrible. But, it is really a part of journey and you meet a lot of people with different attitudes, some may bother, annoy or irritate you..but it is part and parcel of the essences of an exciting travels as you are expose on this different scenes it will taught you to act more wiser the next time you travel. As you already know what to expect the dreaded expectations and get ready to face the unexpected. as you gather more experiences you are going to be a bright traveler who know the do's and dont's and you will never fall victims to haughtiness and ignorance of any places you will likely to visit. The next time around will more sweeter and you are more prepare to faces the hurdles, the delays, the languages and cultural barriers as you are have more experience of your first travel and learn from your mistakes. Then, this time you will surely enjoy your travel and before you left the places, good fun and memories will still linger in in your minds.happy [neelianoscet]

Well first luggage.Second taxi's charging to much. third is direction.. Well snachers, ihave a bad experience about that.i was riding on the jeepney and i am wearing a necklace with a cross pendant serves me as guide and always with me, i forgot to take it off and because i am not familiar with the place I wear it. so there are 2 adults who get on the jeepney and try to get my necklace on my neck. luckly I was able to hold it and they did not succeed on getting the necklace.. [jhenny_ice0021]
Yeah, that is the dreaded things a traveler should be wary and cautious when you are traveling in unknown places and you have no familiarity with what happening on its surrounding. the things you experience is not quite extra ordinary, almost all traveler have their own tales to tell when they are facing the same scenario. Their are times we could not avoid it and no matter we tell to our self that what happen to tourist 1 will never ever happen to me. but, alas! when you face the same situation and you could testify that it is really annoying and sometimes it could gives a trauma. Such as what happen to you, you are about to be the victim of snatching. Lucky you! the snatchers fails and you charge it to experience. But, to other traveler they are facing it almost everyday in every parts of the world. Traveling is a fun but also a risky business. we need to be wise to enjoy the fun, hence we need to be a wise traveler with a ready weapon or enough knowledge of the place to avoid falling as a victims of different schemes.happy [neelianoscet]

lolIs that you in the picture? wow that 's nice. well, am not sure what to say but bringing a lot of things is a great burden, most specially if you think too much about talking how much you enjoy the place and how the people were nice to you until you realized that the baggage is either gone or stolensad. that's probably one of the worse thing i hate when i travel. [LetranKnight25]
lol, that is my friends friend,j..yeah, that is true, I am really have fun teasing my sister who always carry a big luggage only to bring it back again at home with the same things. Then she only spent a matter of 2 weeks. I says to her not to carry too much luggage, as i am sure she gonna buy some souvenirs and their is no more spaces left in her luggage to put the things she just buy. It really weird ideas to bring all your things as if you think you will no longer get back to your home. When, in fact when you get to the place of your destination. You are thinking again to go home..which only shows that nothing really beat the sweetness of home sweet home, no matter how great the places is.. their still something in your mind that you miss on or you wish a beloved is your companion and not the strangest people you gonna met along in your journey..happy [neelianoscet]

I LOVE traveling! Exhausting, true, risky, unfortunately true, but then so can crossing the street. I prefer to travel alone, since it forces me to make friends and really go out of my way to interact with others, both fellow tourists, as well as locals. I find that I tend to see more, go to more places, experience more things and learn more, than if I were with someone I know. Traveling with friends provides you with a comfort zone. Alone, you are forced out of it. Then the learning and experiences really begin. There has not been a country I've either lived in or visited, where the locals did not make exceptions for tourists... to a point. I think the trick is to understand you're not on your home turf anymore, and act accordingly by treading carefully, respectfully, but with an open mind. There is something in everyone that responds to this in some way or other. For every bad experience I've had while traveling: drivers who overcharge, overly-friendly natives (not always a bad thing, actually... ahem), hostile and unfriendly ones, etc., I simply put on my very-sorry-I'm-new-here look, and someone or other always comes to my rescue. It is important to distinguish the very-sorry-I'm-new-here look, from the I'm-a-clueless-dork-take-advantage-of-me look. I'd demonstrate, but considering the limitations of the print medium... Bear in mind that criminals and jerks do not take advantage of people randomly. They always scan for potential targets, select, observe, then act. Enjoy the scenery in whatever new place you find yourself in. Just keep an eye out on where you're walking, and who's walking too near you. [Shahrus]
That would really be an exciting journey and you got to meet a lot of fellow traveler who have more experience to recounts their travels tip which could help a fellow traveler to know the do's and dont's really saves you a lot of inconvenience in hustling through the complexities of traveling without any first hand knowledge of the place. it helps to be more friendly and open minded to trust fellow traveler..happy [neelianoscet]

The worst thing that ever happened while traveling for me was sitting on a plane next to a guy that was really drunk. I could smell him, not just his breath but sweating the smell out of his pores. I asked to change seats. Later he started talking to people and annoying them, glad I moved, it was a long flight. [mzz663]
Yeah, it is really a matter of choices and you have a lot of option. To enjoy traveling you need to become more adventurer to face the good and worse scenario this is the only way you could be out of your shell and see the rest of the real world. People need to realize those who are living in convenient and luxury world that they are very luck to have the good and all means the availability of modern transportation separate them from the underdeveloped countries. But the real joy of travel is when you are willing to risk the things which you are going to meet along your journey and when reaching your destination. You could really feel the different mixtures of cultures of people who have different views and opinion are able to unites with one goal that is to reach out to the unreachable..happy [neelianoscet]

I love traveling. I hate mosquitoes that bite in tropical countries. It is a shame that some countries have the risk of catching malaria or yellow fever. I wouldn't like robbers or kidnappers. I feel scared when a risk of a bomb presents itself. It is a shame when a hurricane hits a country and does much damage. On my travels I have had mostly safe times. In the Maldives I was walking along a lonely beach when I was attacked. I got really sick and had a high fever when I left Indonesia. In Malaysia I fell down a drain and badly hurt my leg. I make sure I don't visit lonely beaches on my own anymore. I make sure I am careful about what I eat, no salads. I make sure I carry a torch after dark to make me see better in the darkness. [maximax8]
You are lucky to have travel where their are less hassles and you enjoy your trip all along the way of your travel. It is good to have a companion if you are going to visit a places where you are not familiar of have a strange peculiarities with the people and the cultures of the places. Then, it is also important to keep wary and take precaution on whatever you are doing as you make it sure you are safe and with the food you are not familiar with, also includes a mineral water along with you in every travel is a must. Also, important to bring medicines for diarrhea, dizziness and other protective clothing to avoid illnesses..happy [neelianoscet]

I hate flying an entire day seated in economy seats (the only seats I've ever had, lol, except that one time I was bumped up to first class). It would have been okay when I was younger, but now, oh my poor back! I hate waiting for late buses (hello, greyhound!). I hate packing (esp for going back home when your luggage can no longer fit everything in) and prepping. I love the actual trip and in general, it's worth it to go through those minor nuisances. :) [wahmivy]
That really what a heck of troubles a lot of traveler are facing everyday. even you are well prepare their are some delays which are beyond your control which is really annoying. all a traveler can do is to learn to be patience until you arrives at your destination feeling safe and kicking alive with no accidents along the road, on air or in water, whatever modes of transportation you prefers. all of this annoying things which you are going to experience will all fades upon your arrival to your destination.. happy [neelianoscet]

I've never travelled long distance alone so far.Maybe I just scared of those undesirable things like snatches, robbers, kidnappers,or even road accident. lol But im sure with a nearly perfect plan I can make my journey wonderful. Its better if you have an ideal companion to travel with. [sweetyethot]
yeah, it is better to plan ahead and anticipate the things that would likely to happen and avoid the same mistakes which other traveler miscalculate when they plan to travel in an estranges places. happy [neelianoscet]

All forms of getting from one place to another have their advantages and their Fans..and their disadvantages and detractors too! Flying used to have a glamorous image..now,it's like a bus in the sky..and the long lines at security, with the early times you're expected to get there before check-in,means you're sitting around the airport in some cases longer than you'lll actually be in the air! delays and disruptions can affect any land based travel method too...maintenance,cancellation of public transport, rescheduling, even punctures and engines overheating...so long as you're getting to your destination,it's all good..stressing about the transport isn't going to help! [ShepherdSpy]
A traveler undergoing different stressful experiences along her journey have no choice but to remain calm and let all the annoyance get pass by. If you keep complaining as you says it get no uses as you really have no control over the events which will likely contributes to your stressful journey. But, a plan ahead of all the expenses and amounts of spending is necessary. it could saves you a lot of savings. Also, a knowledge of the places and its cultures is a must for every traveler to avoid culture shock. [neelianoscet]

For a long road trip, I hate it because I can't do anything except to sleep and watch the road. And sometimes I also hate the call of nature. Sometimes, it will arrive at the wrong time and wrong place so you need to stop or to find comfort room. True that in some places there very dangerous place that you need to really take extra care since robbers and snatchers are there. I also hate taxi drivers who take advantage of a person that is new to the place, the driver will choose the long way going to the place where the passenger is heading to, to have extra charges knowing that the person does not even know the way and where he/she is. It would be better if you travel with companion especially if that companion is expert or have been to the place or familiar to the place that you are going. So your friend/companion would also be your tour guide. [0811mg]
I experience it and it really annoying to find that the person whom you ask for information does not give you the correct instruction. it is really a waste of time and money. Even, I had companion in the past travel, Were still misguided and we pay taxis cab with a high cost with over charging then some driver acts as if he do not know the exact location. Which is a clear abuses on their parts. I thought that the person who live in the place where we go is in fact familiar with the place but it turn out, himself is not familiar..happy [neelianoscet]

I kind of like traveling, and I had traveled serveral times. Well, you know, traveling usually give your life more fresh things and relax you. Yet, you did face some problems when you are traveling, you hated to take lots of stuffs or heavy luggage with you; you care about your tickets for train or bus; you wonder about your accomadation a lot, all those tinny things bother you all through your travel. [foreigntradecareer]
I am too are lazy bringing a lot of luggage but it is not a problem to me if I have a companion to assist me. Then, when you comes to an airport or in a land or sea terminal...their is always a crowded people and the places of destination if you are not familiar would likely to go in a wrong city if you have no trusted tour guides. The best things to do is search the places before you plan to travel to avoid the hassles and troubles of getting the wrong information.happy [neelianoscet]

I'd like to add that I have travelled alone and also with companions. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Sometimes you feel a bit lost travelling alone, but it forces you to meet people and make new friends. When travelling with companions, you live in each other's pockets and tempers can get a bit frayed. You also have to take into consideration where your companions want to go, how much they can afford, etc. I think it's not a bad idea to take different directions from your companions and meet up again later. Or at least do some different things for a day here and there. [DiamondDogs]
Yeah, very true if you travel alone, you only depend on yourself for the limited amount to spend while if you have companion, you may share him the cost of the expenses. You could saves if it is a fair sharing but if you are the always one to pay him, then it will be a burden to you as you have other companion to worry about.happy [neelianoscet]

Well it depends on how you travel, for instance if your traveling by car you have to waite for bathroom brakes and waite for food brakes, and if you have long drive to get to your destination you have to sit for a long time, and you can't do much but stair at blank high ways for hours and hours and that can get really boring.happyrolleyes [apples99]
Yeah, that is true I remember i am traveling in an aircon bus which only stop at a gasoline station and it is only the time i get to the bathroom to urinate with more than 4 hours of waiting before i feel relieve. Sometimes i get feel of nausea and even have a tendency to vomit. The next time I travel i see to it that i have an anti-nausea medicines I get dizzy having to smell the brakes fluid and the traffic at the road is really annoying. having to seat in a little space with little spaces among my legs, it really gives me cramps, then the seating for hours makes my butt painful..see I have to stand for a minutes then go back again to my seat..lol [neelianoscet]

One typical thing that may happen in the travelling is that you could run into crowds of tourists who happen to have the same plan with you. It can be really disappointing to see a lot of people in the scenic spot, especially when it comes to somewhere tranquil and secluded originally. To avoid this hustle-bustle, the best way that comes up to me is to avoid the selling season. You can choose to travel in your own annual vacation rather then those national holidays. [takezero]
I too like to travel in a places where the peak season for tourist are low to avoid being trap in crowd and scenes stealer are many which would disturb your fun. especially if you are taking photos then their is a lot of crowd passing and you could not take the shoots as they ruin the background. Everyone is rushing in the same scenes and you feel annoy when they go to the same places where you plan to spend your day frolicking in a nice beaches with your companion. It really destroy the main purposes of your travel that is to have fun, unwind and relax.. happy [neelianoscet]

I love traveling! I cannot complain about it at all, except if it's in a car, horrible long car rides really can put me over the edge. Once I get to the destination I am happy as ever! [levyx22]
yeah, car travels in a long hours is really tiring and boring, but if you enjoy the sights along the road you could glance for a while, but if you are passing in a deserted places it is really tiring. Then, you could always sleep while traveling for an hours then take your snacks. Then, avoid hitchhikers as they may be dangerous to stop to get them to rude a lot of missing person becomes victims of wrong person they met along the way. Then, it also good to bring along with you medicines, in cases you feel dizzy..happy [neelianoscet]

I don't like being lost.it is a terrible waste of time.I also don't want to lose money and come face-to-face with a robber or kidnapper.I don't want to be hurt while traveling. [my_name_is_coco]
yeah, very true when you are unsure of the right directions and you ask the wrong person for the directions. you might likely get misguided and waste a tons of money in finding the exact address and driver may over charges you as he sense you are lost and may take advantages of your current situation.happy [neelianoscet]

I love travelling and there is nothing that I find tiresome about travelling. It is said that "It is nice to have a place to go to but it is the journey that matters in the end." Always travel safe and with enough money in your purse and travelling will be the most enjoyable experience for you!! [mohinimandokhot]
Yeah, having enough money is a sure way to enjoy and have fun with a travel. Nobody want to travel with an empty stomach, unless you are a stowaway or in a rush to get out from your arrogant mate..Then, it is also safe to have your money in an atm and not keep all your money as cash. As you really never know what you gonna meet along the roads, maybe an accidents or a troubles with a vehicles may cause you to be stranded for an hours. also, it is important to bring along with you some medicines for headache, diarrhea and nausea in cases you get an illness along the way.. [neelianoscet]

i love traveling. with my family.i enjoyed the jurny. i am citting window side of trees and bird's are very nice. [chvenki]
Yeah, nice view glancing at the outside windows, it takes all the worries away and even their is annoying people. You look at the other direction to divert your attention from them..happy [neelianoscet]

i went to travel for some times , but i had go by myself . so very time we din't meet the trouble . if i want to travel by myself , i will choice go with the travelling team . [shellyli]
Yeah, with a companion or in a traveling team their is no chance you will get lost as you have companions whom you could rely on during your travel. it is also important to have companion when you stroll in a strange places and in cases you get lost among the crowds their is a companion who were going to told your other companion to help to find you or assist you in case you get sick..happy [neelianoscet]

I really don't mind going to new places and meeting new people in foreign lands, but what that problem for me is that fact that I don't sleep too well when away from the familiarity of my own home. This means I get very tired and then after a while I am counting the days until I can get home and have a good night's sleep. happy - Derek [derek_a]
Yeah, I feel the same things even if you travels million miles away from your country. Nothing beat the home sweet home feel comfy..and this really have effects on your frame of mind. Their is something good in your home that you really miss when you are out in another stranger places... I think being with your beloved and the things you you loved is irreplaceable no matter how beautiful the places where you travel, home is still the best places to stay where hearts and minds are at peace..happy [neelianoscet]

What a very appropriate(?) discussion for today.^_^ I just got back from a tour you see and yes, I havent had any good sleep for the last 48 hours. It was also very hectic when I got back. Anyway, Ill try to focus more on the traveling experience since that is the main topic of your discussion, right? Well, it wasnt my first 8 hour travel by bus without my parents but it has been a while since my last one, almost 7 years actually. One of our major subjects kinda requires us to be involved in Exposure programs that would definitely aid us in better understanding the actual operations of a successful exporting business. We were able to visit their warehouses and shipyards, as well as drive around 2 interconnecting cities that are highly patronized by foreign investors. The number of hours traveled seemed to be more than the time that we visited the cities and the plants. But it was okay for me because I used that time inside the bus to either get a bit of sleep or to get to know my other classmates more.^_^ At the end of the 2-day tour, I wanted to stay a bit longer in those places and learn more but we do have time constraints. However, Im glad that at least I was able to visit those places as well as establish good friendship bonds with my other classmates who I usually dont get the chance to talk to during classes.happy [bjcyrix]
yap, everyone need ithappy [neelianoscet]

i guess i've been lucky so far in my traveling. i've not had much nasty experiences when i travel abroad. i'm an asian and i've only visited asian countries so that might be why i've had pleasant trips. i've been to china, japan, thailand and malaysia. other than the occasional rude people who can be found in any and every country, i can't say i've had any nasty experiences. i do a lot of research before i travel to any country the first time. i learn the culture and do's & don't's of the country so that i won't offend others unintentionally. i also plan my route so that i know how to get from one place to another. i do get lost sometimes but that is fun too. i get to see things i wouldn't have seen otherwise. winkwink [applefreak]
That is a good things for you have not experience any troubles with your travel, unlike other traveler have experience hassles, trips delays and even accidents along their journey. I t is nice to plan ahead and know your routes like you mention it will saves you from a lot of misinformation knowing you are on a right track. also having enough preparation and advance knowledge of the places you are going, including the amounts of spending. You get a lot of saving knowing where the best cheap hotels , good food and tourist places where they charge less..happy [neelianoscet]

I have not really traveled on my own. I did travel with a buddy. At other times, I go with a tour group.Yes, the usual problems. Foreign exchange and language problems cannot be avoided as we travel abroad. I really hate the hassle of waking up early to get on guided tours. I also dislike visiting temples again and again. Don't they have other places worthy of tourism? Yes overcharging by small souvenir shops, fleecing by taxis and being down with diarrhea from the water and food of foreign lands. [jonjee0203]
It is really nice to travel with a good companion and you gonna have to share some fun in the places where you go. It is really a tourist guide business ,including the shuttle to tour only the tourist in their well known places. but, if you really like to stroll or go around with the places. you could do it without relying on a tour guide as expected they really are the one who dictates the traveler where to go and you could not be picky. You could stroll around the places if you have a companion who knows exactly the in and out, where the best places to stay, the good food and cheap souvenir items. then, you could surely have the maximum fun and exciting stories to told with your friends when you got home..happy [neelianoscet]

All place have to be first of all, be made aware to us.The superb environment of place to where we travel makes us forget its demerits by the beauty and class at times.Traveling through road has been as much troubling for me in my entire life in any form of it can come through, then by train has also experiences of less comfort and dealing with different people too is a tough task.By air travel has also not been so wonderful at times, with the fellow passengers. The luggage also give's us hick ups during traveling.New places can be unsuitable too. [tintukm]
traveling alone could be tough if it is your first time but, if you have done a lot of travel before it would never be terrifying as you already proves to yourself you could travel in your own likes..happy [neelianoscet]

I've only ever traveled to one place in my life either by myself or where there wouldn't be someone waiting for me at the airport. That was kinda scary for a small-town girl! But, it wasn't bad and I did it for several years in a row. Now, it's harder with kids in tow but we usually only travel to places we know. [renitaperrone]
Yeah, that right i too are afraid to travel alone with no companion, but I get used too now, but before i travel I make sure i got a contact person to fetch me on the airport. In your cases, with a kids it is really not convenient to travel with a bunch of kids and the flexibility is lost. Then, you have to attend to their needs not just your needs. You also need to hold them all the times as they got loose from your hands they gonna escape and it is hard to chase them around playing hide and seek. But, it is fun to have kids with you as long as you have companion to assist with you and will get to look at your belonging wherever you decides to stroll around or get to go to beautiful sites.happy. [neelianoscet]

One of the most exhausting travel experiences I had was in China. Of course I was with my friends, and we were travelling from Beijing to Shanghai by train. It was mostly to save on fares and also to experience the countryside. The journey itself was uneventful and the Chinese people were very helpful. But once we got down at the station there was so many steep escalators that we had to get on to up and down so many times carrying our heavy bags with thousands of people rushing past us it was absolutely horrific. Even worse were the porters who were insisting that they carry the bags for us but were demanding such exhorbitant amounts, and they didnt look very friendly either. All of us were utterly drained by the time we got out of the station that we said never again by train in Chine. [suesan35]
Yeah, that is really a tiresome experience and you got to meet a lot of unscrupulous people along the way. It really a cultures differences and languages barriers which you have to face. And, it is a good things if you have a companion that you may never get lost and somehow you got have a protector..You really need to take guard of all your valuables to avoid being victims of robbers or snatchers as it is good to wear simple clothing and avoiding wearing expensive jewelries. This may prevent spying from criminals who are out to look to victimize traveler with their schemes...happy [neelianoscet]

sadHi,neelianoscet.I would like to sleep on the train, but many people like chatting .Sometimes they speak very loudly.I don't know how to deal with them.I don't like to chat with strangers .I just want to get a good sleep. But it is always impossible for me . [mickly08]
Hi, mickly..yeah that is a common scenario every traveler have to face every time their are on a travel especially in unfamiliar places. You need to get adjusted to the environments and the cultures. I too get sleepy when I travel but I do not do it alone as I am wary of my unknown seatmates and may stole my belonging. I only sleep with a companion, but most of the time I could not sleep if the surrounding is noisy. I pray most of the times to reach my destination safely and very excited to meet my relatives/someone who are waiting to me..happy [neelianoscet]

Travelling makes me very tired too. It also makes me feel sick alot of times also, especially if I am not the one driving. I hate wasting alot of time on the road also. It makes me feel dizzy at times too and gives me a headache. [stephcjh]
yeah, traveling for an hours is quite exhausting and could get you very tired. Instead of enjoying the sights along the roads, you get annoy with the long driving. I too experience dizziness and even vomit gotta have motion sickness. That is why every time I travels I bring with me anti-dizziness drugs to prevent feeling sick..happy [neelianoscet]

hi neelianoscet!^^ i love traveling! but yeah, just like you said, no matter how fun it is, there would always be some discomfort. first of all, preparing things. most of the time i get a hard time preparing my things because i want to bring a lot of stuff which i cannot do. sometimes i tend to bring too much clothes which makes me suffer because my baggage is heavy! another would be the public restrooms. i have been to a lot of dirty public toilets and it's really a discomfort to use them. i've been to nice toilets too but they are just few. so sometimes i just tend to hold it in until i arrive in my destination. this is why i bring a lot of tissues.^^ lastly would be expensive souvenir items! lol why can't they just sell cheap souvenirs so we can buy a lot more right?? that would definitely promote their place.^^ [secretbear]
hi secretbear, traveling really need to be pre-plan ahead and you should search for the nice place to stay likes hotels, good food and good places to go for. It is a must to bring toiletries every time you travel, including rubbing alcohol, hand sanitizer, medicines for headache, stomachache, diarrhea, dizziness and a purified water. This is to protect yourself against the hustles and bustles of the long journey and in cases of emergencies, you have something to get in cases you travel in a urban areas where comfort and amenities of life are missing. Then, have to be wary, of strangers and stay alert with your things that you would not fall as victims of hustlers..Yeah, souvenir should be cheap for every tourist to avail of the local items and you could be proud to give it to your friend or to keep it as your remembrance of your travel..happy [neelianoscet]

I only travel by plane these days so it usually doesn't take more than 4 hours to get to my destination so I don't find it exhausting at all. My daughter and I went to Las Vegas in July and it was only a 2 1/2 hour flight so when we got there we were raring to go. We weren't tired at all, just excited. I do sometimes travel by car but even that I don't find too tiring because we will stop a few times if we need to, even just to stretch our legs. I have traveled from Calgary to Winnipeg by car lots of times and it is 1400 KM each way. So it is about a 14 hour drive, but with stopping it usually takes us about 16 or 17 hours. But with both of us driving it is tiring because we switch and take a nap inbetween. I have never traveled alone so I don't have any of the problems you mention in your discussion but I could see your point. I wouldn't want to travel alone. [chrislotz]
hi chrislotz, Traveling by plane is the most convenient and very relaxing way among the other choices of transportation. While traveling using a car from you mention are the most dreaded parts which I do not like too go for long travel it makes me feel bored. Then, also the safety of the roads should also be taken consideration with non-stop traveling then become beware of hitch hiker who gonna meet along the road as they are not to be trusted. Then, from the constant stopping even though you are just seated as one of the passengers or being the driver itself it is annoying and tiring to drive if you have no other companion who would takes your place if you would like to take a rest or exchange driving with you while you are taking a short nap. Yeah, traveling alone is not a good ideas especially if traveling by land in unfamiliar places and traveling is not worrisome if you travel by plane as you could expect to arrive as soon as possible with somebody you know to meet you in the airport.thanks.
