kyaaa! i am so tired and sleepy! we went to Hundred Islands at Pangasinan yesterday and i just got back home this morning. Hundred Islands is one of the major tourist's spot here in the Philippines and it is a national heritage popular not only to Filipinos but also to a lot of foreigners as well. happy
it was our first time to go there, even one of our officemates who is from Pangasinan, it was also her first time there! its ironically funny since her house is just nearby and yet, she hasn't been there even once! she actually said that after 30 years, she finally went to see their province's great pride. lol
we all had fun island hopping and swimming there. the place is sooo beautiful! and even if there's a lot of boat and people and some islands are developed, the place still seems to be "virgin". ^__^;; not yet abused. well i hope it won't be abused coz its really beautiful and it seems that everyday, there are people going there.
if you're interested to see our pictures, go here:

My last vacation was in January of 2008. My husband and I went to Savannah, Georgia and Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. We really enjoyed it and here is a link to my travelogue so you can see pictures if you like. Click Here: http://www.travelpod.com/travel-blog/ramblinggal/11/tpod.html [shopgirl]
hi shopgirl! i visited your blog and wow. you've gone to a lot of places! i wish i can travel a lot too! and see Niagara falls too! i really like visiting awesome places. thanks for the response. happy [secretbear]
This is a good topic for me right now as I just got home a few hours ago from a two week visit with my daughter and her family. They live 300 miles away and we don't get to visit as often as we would like. We didn't really do much but talk, laugh, talk more and laugh even more. The weather was nice most of the time while there but did have some rain and chilly some days but that didn't matter at all. The fist week there it was just my daughter, my grandson and myself and this past week my son in law come home for a week, he is working out of state right now. Our plans right now are maybe for me to go back for another visit this next month. My trip was not as beautiful as yours but I think I probably had as much fun as you did. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us. [tyc415]
yeah, your trip was probably as fun as mine. even if the place isn't that great as long as we enjoyed being with the people that we visited, the trip becomes fun and worthwhile. thanks for sharing that tyc! happy [secretbear]
I just got back from a trip to Thailand. I visited Bangkok, Ayutthaya, and Chiangmai while there. It was amazing!! If you haven't been, I would definitely suggest a trip there. It was super cheap too, and I stayed in really nice hotels in every location. The currency exchange is excellent, so you're able to get a lot for very little. [IshidaMitsunari]
hi ishida-san! i am actually planning to go on a trip abroad. my choice destination is Singapore. i considered Thailand before but since i don't know anyone from there, and i'm going to travel alone, i dropped it off my list. i know someone from Singapore and my officemate has a sister there which could take care of me while i'm there. although in the future, i would like to travel alone even if i don't know anyone from that place. i'm sure is envious about your trip. happy [secretbear]
Hi, My last trip was to Camboriu, in the south atlantic shore of Brasil. Everything was beautiful and the people were very friendly. The food was amazing too. In this trip I had more fun than usual because I went with my niece. She studies music so she wanted to listen to brasilian folk music. We made friends with a brasilian who decided we needed chaperoning (LOL) so he and his wife showed us around and took us to different places. We met all his family and sang with his friends. Out of this world! If you go to Camboriu, ask for Baiano. Everyone knows him! [atacamaval]
hi atacamaval! that sounded a really nice trip. a place would really become more nice if the people are hospitable and friendly. uhmmm.. i haven't really considered going to Brazil because its too far away and i don't have the money for it. happy [secretbear]
i don't remember my last travel...it was so many years ago...i need a holiday soon. [Ralitsa]
oh i see. thanks for dropping by ralitsa. happy [secretbear]
My last travel was to the states like a couple months ago! It was fine but I am looking more to my next travel. I sort of want to go to France or Japan if I have enough money and the idea is really exciting to me! But at this particular moment, I think I really need to save up money first. [wondericequeen]
yay! you're planning to go to Japan? take me with you! lol i have always wanted to go there. i am planning to go to Singapore because its cheaper to go there than to go to Japan. and to think Japan's is nearer in our country than with Singapore! its really odd. [secretbear]
Last travel I went to..... Well it was a travelling whirlwind. I had been to four places in three days. Well I trip began at 6 in the morning where 6 of us hired a jeep and set off from a city in Gujurat called Rajkot, we then went on to Gir national park which is the only place you find the asian lions. Then from there after a safari we went to Somnath where there is a temple to one of our gods shiv (it is one of the 9 important temples -- people visit all these 9 to wash away their sins). But our main attraction was the beach behind the temple. It was awesome. Then from there we went to Diu a beach town once ruled by the Portuguese. We slept and in the morning went to this awesome church built by the portuguese. And then of course a boat ride to the jail in the sea and a visit to the fort of the portuguese. Then off we went to a few of the best beaches in Diu. Had a lot of fun and then left Diu to go to Palitana -- a pilgrimage centre of the Jain people. They have their main temple there. We were to visit that temple the next day. Reached there at night and slept at a jain dharamsala, then off we went climbing some 4000 to 5000 steps and saw the temple. we saw the smaller one as we had to climb more steps to go to the bigger one and we were poopped. So we came down again barely in one piece and came back to base to Rajkot. Had fun. [anuraa30]
Most welcome dear. Hope you enjoy travelling [anuraa30]
It's a while since I last took a big trip but two years ago I drove to Lincoln Nebraska and then flew to my daughter's in Arizona. I had alot of fun but we didn't do much sight seeing and it was more for relaxing. I am going again in May and this time hopefully we'll go someplace to see something new! [jillhill]
i know what you mean about just relaxing and not going sight seeing. i sometimes did that. ^__^ i hope your travel on May pushes through jill! happy [secretbear]
Thank you for sharing your photos my friend, my last travel was last year in October when I flew to Rhodes for 2 weeks, I had never been abroad on my own before so it was one big adventure and I had never gone on a plane on my own either, which was scary but I did it and would do it again. It was strange going away on my own but I was able to do what I wanted and go where I wanted! I travelled around the island and did a lot of touristy things, but loved lazing on the beach and swimming the pool it is a beautiful island and I felt so relaxed and happy there. [wolfie34]
hi wolfie! i'm glad you are now brave enough to ride a plane on your own! its really a big deal if we can or cannot travel on our own. sometimes i want to travel on my own but i'm scared too. i'm waiting for the day that i can do just what you did. happy [secretbear]
WOW thanks a lot for sharing your photpgraphs, you have really went to cool place and enjoyed. Last time i went was Bangkok and i find place to be real good and peoples are very much friendly, i went to patiya beach and coral islands and this place is real fantastic. i was short of time but i really enjoyed there and i love their MBK mall. Hope soon i will visit Canada and USA. [smartbrain69]
hi cheekychick! i would love to tour Europe too! but i don't have the money but i hope in the future i'd be able to go there. happy [secretbear]
hi secretbear yeaaah i've heard about Thousand Island before!! it's a very very gorgeous place!! i saw it on my friend's travel blog he went there around november 2007 i think?? and once i saw his pictures, i fell in love with the place LoL i hope one day i can go there to see it directly with my own eyes my last travel is to Bali-Indonesia last february too bad that time the weather is not good, many big waves and heavy winds, and it's raining all day during my holiday but i still enjoy my holiday, i like Bali very much quite disappointed with the bad weather, but i'm glad i can come to Bali that time, hehehee.. i'll be back again for sure if you haven't been to Bali, i hope you can visit it oneday secretbear [unuzzz]
hi unuzzz! happy its not really a thousand islands, its just a hundred islands. ^__^ but your friend is right, the place is really gorgeous! i really loved swimming there! it was so much fun! every tourist there was having so much fun despite the scorching heat of the sun. i'm sure you would love it there if you like the beach and island view. ^__^ i've heard that its really beautiful there in Bali. i hope someday i can go there too. happy hey, please visit my blog about my travel to the Hundred Islands, http://secretbear-reality.blogpsot.com happy [secretbear]
Ahhhhhhhhh! Hi! My last travel involved travel to our national capital city on some official work. And where is the fun ! [p_vadla]
lol it depends on you to make some fun even if it were an official travel. i sometimes go on an official travel and i just make the most out of it by having fun with the people i'm with. sometimes we'd drink or sometimes we'd just eat out and that's already fun for us. even just taking pictures of us and making poses is already having fun. happy [secretbear]
Wow.. that looks nice and beautiful.. Can u do diving there?? LOL ^_^ YUp, i hope that nice and quiet place wun be over commercialised yet and cause everything to change, spoiling the natural beauty there.. hehe.. My last travel was to thailand earlier part of the year.. hehe ^_^ BUt i would like to go phuket 1 day, than i will go to your Hundred Isalnds at Pangasinan ^_^ hehe [kun2349]
doh tch. whatever kun. [secretbear]
hello secretbear the last time that my family and i travelled anywhere was last summer when the boys were out of school on their summer break. we all went to Atlanta, Georgia and went to Six Flags Over Georgia and then the next day we all went to the Six Flags White Water Splash Park. whoo hoo! is it summer time again yet? this summer the kids want to go to the beach. not for sure what beach that we are going to be going to yet, probably back to Panama City Beach, Florida. a few years ago, we went to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. it was nice there and i would like to go back there and also, i have never been to Gulf Shores, Alabama before and i would like to check out the beaches in that area as well sometime. have a wonderful afternoon. [RLFinNash]
hi rhonda! it seems that your family regularly travels. that is so much fun! i bet you have traveled to a lot of states already. i wish we can do that too. its just really a bother to travel without a personal car. [secretbear]
I dont travel many places...for the most part i travel to alberta to see my family and to st paul, mn to see my boyfriend. Ive also gone to phoenix, az and some places in Wisconsin as well as to Toronto, Ont. [saundyl]
hi saundyl! it seems that even if you don't like traveling, you've been to many places still. happy [secretbear]
Never been to Hundred Islands but I'm sure it's fun swimming in between those islands. My family recently went to Clark in Pampanga to attend the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. Nice quality time with the family. [wisedragon]
hi wisedragon! wow! watching hot air Balloons flying through the sky?? i'm sure that's a lot of fun. i would have enjoyed watching them too. and yeah, it was so much fun to be swimming in between islands. unlike in an open sea. wink [secretbear]
My last travel was on February 17th. I went to Phoenix, Arizona. Unfortunately, it was not a happy and fun time. My most dearest favorite Aunt was dying and I was trying to get there before she passed on so I can say my goodbyes. Sadly, I did not make it in time as she passed away as I was boarding my plane. I was able though to see her and say my goodbyes as they kept her at Hospice until I arrived. [YorkieBear]
Me too. With summer coming up I hope I can travel with my kids somewhere just to have a good and happy and memorable time. [YorkieBear]
Our last travels were to Washington DC and then to Mississippi. We had tons of fun. It was a long drive but well worth it. My family live in Mississippi so we had plenty to do. We are going back next month. [moneyandgc]
hi moneyandgc! our travel was a long drive too. but driving can be fun too. while going to Hundred islands we had fun while on the road. even our driver had fun too because we didn't leave him in our discussions. its the same when we were going home. although that was during the first two hours. at the last two hours we were all sleep and we couldn't talk anymore. wink [secretbear]
My last travel out of the country was in 2006. We went to Brunei and stayed at The Empire Hotel. It was a class tour actually. We stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights. It's my second time to stay there. The hotel is great. Really. It was fun cos I was with my friends. And my last local travel was last year in Cebu. I didn't get to really have a tour there but I'd love to go back. [marababe]
wow! a class trip it Brunei? what course are you taking up? hotel management? tourism? that must be really an expensive course. ^__^ i've been to Cebu twice but i haven't toured all of it actually. and all the tours we made there was just side trips because it was supposed to be a class trip too. happy [secretbear]
Let's see ... my last little trip was to Lost Wages ..er.. Las Vegas to meet some friends at the Sybase conference. My last journey was to Latin America to explore Mayan ruins. I visited Guatemala, Belize and the Yucatan. I also did some scuba diving in Isla Bahia Honduras, and caught a bunch of Amberjack off Isla Mujeres near Cancun while I was down there. I have an extensive travel history. My journeys have taken me to over 40 countries. So...YES! I do have some tales to tell and do so at a couple different places on the web. You can find my blog - ¿Where the Heck are You? - at this link: http://wheretheheckareyou.blogspot.com I also have written a series of articles on another site and you can find them listed at the following link: http://mrbill.gather.com/viewSubTag.jsp?memberGrpName=mrbill&tagName=where%20the%20heck%20are%20you Here is one of my favourites: ¿Where the Heck are You? - Crossing Te Rua Manga http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474977057349&grpId=3659174697246289&nav=Groupspace Drop me a note here and let me know what you think! cool [ltmoon]
lol Lost Wages! that fits the place! i wish i can go see Vegas too. my mom says that its really a beautiful place at night. she had been there when she went for a vacation with our relatives there. it would be awesome to step inside a casino. but i don't like gambling. i just think it would be fun to see those people dressed in suits and night gowns having fun with cards and dices. ^__^;; i'll take a look at your site. happy [secretbear]
Ohhhh. I also just came home from a weeklong vacation. I arrived two days ago. We went to Cebu, the Queen City of the South. hehe. We had a convention - school related. It was so much fun though I was on a limited budget. We had visited the famous spots, like the Magellan's Cross, Sto. Nino, Lapu-Lapu, Fort San Pedro, Taoist Temple, etc... There were a lot of sites we visited. I also enjoyed mall hopping, hehe, since there aren't much malls here in my hometown. Not to mention that during the convention, we stayed at a hotel. It was such a great experience. I'd like to share some pictures, but I haven't uploaded them yet to my computer. [swirlz]
hi swirlz! i have also gone there to Cebu and yeah, the place is great! i was also able to go there because of a school trip. aside from the famous tourist spots, i also enjoyed the night life there. wink [secretbear]
I went to Hawaii for four days to my best friends wedding in January and even though it was a quick trip, I had fun seeing her again since it had been almost 5 years since I last saw her. She looked beautiful on her day :) [maddysmommy]
hi maddysmommy! i'm sure she was beautiful because i believe that most brides look beautiful on their wedding dress. happy it must be so awesome to get married in a beautiful beach at Hawaii. [secretbear]
my last travel was in puerto galera and in our province in capiz lol but this april i'm hoping that me and my friends together with my family can go to baguio [rhane7315]
when did you go to Puerto Galera? one of my officemates went there. i'm not sure but my friends are saying that that's our next stop. its nice to go to Baguio in this hot weather but its more fun to go swimming. happy [secretbear]
my last travel was in India. Then i visit tajmahal, agra fort, ajmir sharif etc. [syedshazadali]
thanks for sharing that. happy [secretbear]
Last place I went with my boyfriend was to Cyprus, Ayia Napa, in September 07. It was lots of fun and we are going again this September, but for 2 weeks rather then 1. We was self catering, so we ate out a lot, went into the town area, spent time around the pool, discovered the beaches near by and took lots of pictures. This year we are going to some tours hopefully a bit further and hire a bike for the duration of our stay to go even further for meals etc (and work off some of the calories lol) [otleymorgan]
hi otley! that sounded like a really nice trip! especially that you're with your boyfriend. wink i'm sure it was really fun for you. [secretbear]
I have been to some local places in the past days. Two are office related outings con familiarization and one a personal one. We see to it that we go around the place every summer to places we havent been to. I have travelled almost 80 to 90 of our country and hope to travel it in the next 2 years, the whole of our country. I like the people, the beaches, the sceneries. From work and stay here in the city, even if we came from the province we need to really go out and recharge. We are planning to go out of town some 200 kms. from the city for another sortie. Its nice travelling although quite tiring and quite expensive. [bagumbayan]
wow. you've traveled that much? awesome! i hope i can travel around the famous tourist spots too here in our country. but yeah, its expensive and i couldn't really afford it and i've got work and no time to do a lot of traveling. i wish someday i can just live to travel the world. happy [secretbear]
well i'm not a kind of person who usually go out for travelling. its not like that I dont like to travel but because of my service. well i'm littile bit confused to mention about my last travel. Because its sad one. i been to my native place in last month which is nearly 250 miles away from my current job place. because of sad demise of my very dear and close aunt. Being a elder son of my family I been there to attend the funeral. that was one of my memorable travel which I want to forget. [vikrantkarning]
that is just so sad. i think you're the second to respond here that their last travel is to a funeral of a relative. that's just so sad. my sincere condolences to you. [secretbear]
my last travel wat to los vegas during new years. even though i am not old enough to do the good things like drink and do the slots and stuff i still had a great time there. everything there is larger than life and is way better than disneyland i would say. so they should start calling vegas the happiest place on earth instead of loss vegas and junk like that. I really liked all of the shows they offered and my hotel accommodation's were extremely awesome. In fact I stayed at the monte carlo. We all know how it caught on fire. I was staying there about 3 weeks before that happened. [alangardner]
hi alan! ltmoon called Las Vegas as Lost Wages. and it just made me laughed and so i gave him the best response. i do believe that its is awesome there even though i haven't been there. my mother has been there and she only got praises for the place even though she also didn't play the casino or drink in an expensive bar. looking at the place just made her enjoy it. happy [secretbear]
We just got back from Bribie Island! We were there for 3 days and we did nothing but sleep, read, relax and eat! We also had fish and chips by the sea and we also went for a couple of walks along the beach and rode our bikes along the bike tracks there. My fiance's aunty lives there so ocassionally she goes and stays with her friend and lets us stay in her house. It is a very beautiful island and the air is fresh and clean, the sky is bright blue and there's no pollution. As we were driving back to Brisbane this afternoon I could actually smell the pollution in the air. I would love to live on an island. In fact-I could move to Bribie Island tomorrow! I'm already looking forward to my next holiday but it's back to work for me tomorrow!sad [coffeeshot]
Where is Bribie Island? is that in Australia? ^__^;; but it sounded like an awesome place. i like beaches too with white sand, fresh air and clear blue sky. just a perfect sight for a great summer fun. i know what you mean about wanting to live in a place as pure like that compared with a polluted one. [secretbear]
my last travel was to boracay i last year's summer with my friends. i have not gone to a travel yet so i still haven't seen another place apart from boracay... it was over a year now :( [chiyosan]
at least you've been there! i've studied college in Iloilo for four years and Boracay was just hours away but i wasn't able to go there! it was really an opportunity wasted. i'm still hoping i can go there someday although i love the beaches in Bohol more than the beach of Boracay. happy [secretbear]
my last travel was just near metro manila.. its in tagaytay, (around 1 1/2 hr away from manila). We attended a wedding there and the reception was on top of hill...i forgot the name of the hotel but its on top of hill over viewing taal volcano...so nice and so romantic for wedding. I like the cool temperature also and of course the scenery..flowers and the trees and when you look down you'll see the lake and the boats going back and forte. i've been to tagaytay many times but i had never been to that part of tagaytay... hope i could came to that spot..really unforgettable.. [bubblyapple]
i've been to tagaytay to but i have never been to the place you have described. it sounded expensive. ^__^;; the last time i went to Tagaytay was December last year and even if it was December, it was kinda hot in Picnic Grove. [secretbear]
My last travel was when I came to England. It was 18 hours on the plane with 5 hours waiting at the Abudhabi for the final flight. I was too scared to be flying for that long. I kept on praying that God will safely guide us to our destination. I may not want to travel that far again but I have to visit my family after a couple of years maybe. Anyway, back in the Philippines before coming to England, I was able to visit Coron, Palawan. It is one of the best diving sites and being able to see it, I find myself lucky. It was not really my destination but the boat had to stop over in the island to drop and load passengers. [Jemina]
Well, England is beautiful when it comes to infrastructures, economy wise and the likes. But during the cold weather I miss the Philippines. On my way here I had a 5-hour stop-over in Abu Dhabi where I saw our kababayans cleaning their CR. [Jemina]
I last traveled in July 2007. I flew from NY to California (13 hours including layovers!). I was there for 3 full days, then headed home. Why did I go? For a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! I got to visit the set of my FAVORITE show, "The Shield." It was absolutely surreal, and an amazing experience. I loved every moment! I was so nervous at first but I had such a blast! I'm so much more interested in the behind-the-scenes of television (and movies) now. It all fantasizes me. Unfortunately I doubt I'll ever go back (certainly not to The Shield set since they finished filming their last season already), but I will never forget that trip!! [goodnightmoon]
It was absolutely amazing, and yes, definitely exciting! FX doesn't have as high of a budget for their shows as basic cable does, so "The Shield" doesn't do as many takes as other shows (they had about 5-8 takes per scene compared to the 10+ of other shows and movies). It's cool to see them to the same scene over and over again with a new feel, to approach it as the first time. I have more respect for actors, but especially more for the crew! Those behind-the-scenes individuals... There are long days (12+ hours), but overall it's great fun! [goodnightmoon]
I was able to enjoy a wonderful time in Sydney, Australia recently. I loved it! I got to have great bonding times with my friend and cousin. I also met new interesting people, mostly friends of my friend. I got to experience new things and seeing beautiful places, and had adventures on my own too. It's fun, learning my way around in a new city. Sydney is actually very tourist friendly, it is easy to find your way around things there so that helped a lot with my adventures. It has been a really very memorable trip for me, especially being there for a special reason :-) Now I am back to doing scrimp-saving so I can replenish my funds. LOL [MariaD]
at least you got to enjoy yourself there even if it means damaging your pocket. ^__^;; i am planning to go to a trip abroad and i'm still saving money for it. i hope i would push through with my plans this year. happy [secretbear]
Hi dear secreatbear, thanks for sharing the wonderful pictures during your trip with us here. I could see from your photos you really enjoy the fun having activities with your friends there. As the uploading image was rather slow so I could enjoy a few of them only. I would like to have my second watch on them during my leisure. Yeah, the landscapes shown in the photos were really beautiful. I had my four days and three night Bali trip end of last year. It was really fun and full of amusement to travel with so many friends. [lkbooi]
My last travel was during the holy week since that was the longer holiday that we had. I went to Ilocos with friends from High School whom I haven't seen for quite some time, we were there for three days, first day we went to Vigan and to Baluarte known as Chavit's Zoo, on the second day we went to Pagudpud and toured around the area while on the third day we went to Laoag. The next day was used for the whole travel time back to Manila. I did have fun on the trip considering that I have finally made it to Pagudpud, I have been wanting to go there like a few years back, and the fact that I had the chance to finally spend some time with old friends, the trip was really worth it. [smints8985]
I had fun swimming in the beaches of Mindoro Occidental where the beach is free and every one will enjoy the sand and clear water [asawanialvin0611]
my last travel date was april 3-6, 2008 when we went to a vacation in Macau and Hongkong.. It was fun and I ended up with blisters on my feet and a sore ankle. We basically walked all over Macau and Hongkong where we got lost a couple of times.. It's a shame we didnt get to visit Disneyland since we ran out of time.. but we got had our pictures taken outside so its basically like being there.. hehe.. [mchristine519]
My last travel was last December 2007. I have go to Deutschland (Germany) it was the ultimate vacation I ever had. I spend my first white Christmas there. I have played wtih snow for the very first time. [jason_co]
The last place I went to was Chicago, but my last major vacation was a cruise and I want to Haiti, Mexico, Grand Caymen, and Jamaica. I want on the Voyager of the Seas Cruise Ship, and that was two years ago. I'm in need for a vacation soon though. I would like to do another cruise this year sometime.Hopefully my plans go as planned. [djd832001]
I got back from Los Cabos / Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in March. I had a blast out there, so much to do and such beautiful sites to see. It was literally impossible to even do half the stuff I wanted in such a short period of time. We went ATVing in the dunes, took a rockclimbing adventure/course, whale watching, parasailing. Most expensive trip I have ever been on, but I wouldnt trade the memories for the world! [Badams]
We took the kids to Washington, D.C. We did a lot of walking I don't recommend going there in July, it was so hot. We also spent 2 days in Atlantic City, and went to the beach. We drove. [ladym33]
i envy you secretbear. i also want to go around a travel a lot but since i now have a baby, all my extra time and vacation are bound to be spent with him. each vacation, i make sure to go home to my province so i can spend a bit of quality time with my son. the latest was last holy week, i decided to extend my vacation a bit so i can renew my bond with him just in case he's starting to forget that im his mom. im hoping that when he grows bigger, i can take him traveling around on vacation time. [kuting]
my last travel was 1999 when i moved from Jamaica to come to the usa [busta1]
The last time I traveled was also the worst time of my entire life so far. I went to South Africa on the 28th of January this year to go and bury my son, only 23 years old, who has been murdered in China on the 25th. Someone, and we will never know exactly who, pushed him from the 15th floor of his apartment building. The security Videos is just too blurry for us to recognize who that person is. I do not remember much of those days, it is all very blurry in my mind... [Marleysa]
