Who Will You Miss Most, If You Are On A Travel

I feel so excited for the seminar that I will be attending next week. I know that this will help me enhance my functionality as an employee. But I am also thinking how will I be without my kids, my wife and especially our 1 year old baby. Three days will be long enough without me beside them, especially at night. I will surely miss them but I really have to go. All things has been set for the said seminar. happy (neildc @ red/89/1675)

I don't usually miss anybody until I am on my way home. Then it's the kids, the cats and just the place... [dawnald]
Good for you then. But me, one thing I will surely miss is our baby, being so bright and naughty. He is someone that makes the house merrier. Gives a lot of joy in my heart too. [neildc]

I usually travel with my family so I don't miss them at all. I think I'd miss them if I were on an extended trip with my friends. But when I travel with friends, we usually keep it short due to responsibilities at work and of course, the cost! So I really don't miss my country or my friends when I travel. I'm too busy enjoying the new sights and sounds! [mimico]
i also travel with my family. but this one will be on official business, so they will be left behind. i just wish there will be no extension of the trip so i can go back home on time. [neildc]

Hi Neil, Don't worry time will pass very quickly and before you know it you will be home and I think they will cope for a few days, just concentrate on the seminar, you will be fine. Tamara [tamarafireheart]
thank you for that, tamara. when i come back, i will share something new with you all. [neildc]

my pets. coz i do not know if they are well taking care of? if they are fed? of course, i will miss my family, too. my parents and my youngest brother because we have a great time whenever we are together. but, my pets? oh, i will surely miss themsad when i went to U.A.E., i recorded my pets voices. i recorded them when they meows and barks... and it makes me happy and smile and sometimes laugh.lol i can talk to my parents anytime i can call them but i cannot play with my pets since i am not around.... [hornetlover]
that is also one way i do not to miss my family so much, i have recorded videos, pictures of them in my cell phone so i can look at them everytime i am away from them. [neildc]

Hi there, Well as for me, I rarely go on travels but if I do, I don't usually miss somebody since I'm in constant communication with them. happy Have fun in that seminar! rolleyes [jaded22]
oh yes jaded, being away with them don't really you will miss them a lot for we have lots of ways to communicate with them, like cell phones and the internet. but physically, that is something different. [neildc]

Of course I will miss my girlfriend the most. We really don't get to chance to meet often so traveling would mean that I won't get to have the chance to meet her. Although we could call each other the physical presence is still different. [magojordan]
being away really means a lot with the relationships and keeping in touch will lessen the feelings. but you are right, physical presence is different with just talking on the phone. [neildc]

Well I am not married yet, or have kids. But I will definitely miss no one, if for three days only. But if for a week or more, I'll definitely miss my parents. I dont want to leave them. But it requires that I leave my parents, well it is okay. As long as I can go back on weekends whenever I want to. [trishasantos]
that is one good thing with singles, they can go anywhere not thinking of who are left behind. i mean, it's not the same feelings with people like who are married and with a very naughty baby. of course, singles will miss their parents and pets if they got one. [neildc]

Think of it this way, friend, that your family will also miss you and they will have time to not have you in the house for 3 days. That will be time for them to miss you more. The seminar will give you the necessary tools to develop yourself in your work and admit it, it will add another feather in your cap. Maybe, you should allot money to buy some "pasalubong" for your kids so that they will not feel your absence but on the contrary they will be looking forward for you to coam back. [everlasting]
you said it well, my friend. and i agree that the seminar will help me develop myself with regards to my work. but though i have been through a lot of seminars before, i am a bit disappointed with the office or the government. promotions and recognitions are too hard to get for myself. you know, i have this system i made myself and now used by the office. but seldom, they don't appreciate the system though it helped a lot in our work and serving the people faster than they used to be before, when i was not still here. With regards to pasalubong, i will try to spend my allowance wisely so i can have something for them. [neildc]

When I am on a trip somewhere far away, I usually miss my boyfriend. He's far away for now but not being able to chat with him for those days I'm gone is quite lonely. But I think it's also good to be away for a few days. Absence makes the heart grows fonder as they say. happy [joliefille]
i will agree with you that for some times, it is better to be a way with each other and the relationship makes a little sweeter too. but probably, that may only good with sweethearts, boyfriend-girlfriend relationships. that maybe different thing if you already married, and there are already kids, like the one little naughty boy we have. happy [neildc]

Of course it's my ever loving hubby and my ever sweet son and my every cutey cutey twin grandchildren and my ever caring mommy that I will miss the most when I travel. That is why I will not travel without them as much as possible. It is so hard to spend nights without them by me. It would be soooo lonely! [salonga]
i see that. of course if it's a travel for pleasure or a vacation with the family. but mine is a lot different for this is pure business, on official travel. lol [neildc]

Brego!! my pet dog!! lol I'll miss him cause you know im just used to him doing what dogs do you know like wag their tails when you come home.. etc etc.. [hanirose]
i know what you mean. so let's say it's your baby, that waits for you to come home at night, do some tricks too, dances, and so on. i know like you pet, you will surely miss him more. happy [neildc]

I hope that you will enjoy your seminar next week. I have a 15 month old son so I know that if I was away from him for a few days I would really miss him. I would also think about my two dogs and my parrot in my absence. I really love to travel and since my son was born in 2007 I have traveled with him. Last year I took him to Portugal and this year I took him to Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. In the past I traveled alone and really enjoyed doing this. On a long trip over a year or a number of months the home sick feeling comes at 3 to 4 weeks into the trip. [maximax8]
oh, your son is almost of the same age of my son. this is the age the kids that they actually start showing some tricks, like dancing, singing, which really gives us joy. the length of your absence from home is too much for me to be away from them, i really can't imagine that, months? or over a year? that will surely give me a home-sick feeling and i don't think i can handle that. happy [neildc]

If I'm traveling, my wife is always by my side. So, I won't miss anyone. But I will still miss my computer which I use everyday for long hours. My computer has been my friend as well as my business partner. [nengs10]
if you travel with your wife, that means that you double your traveling expenses? lol Just kidding. but if i have a lot of money to spend, i will bring them all together even if that is an official travel. [neildc]

If ever I will be traveling, I'm sure gonna miss my kids. I haven't been away from them even for a day. And I'm sure gonna miss my online friends for I will not be able to go online. And lastly, I'm gonna miss you my best. Take care. Have a safe trip best. HUGZ. [dhangski]
mixed emotions here to, my best. i know what you mean. so don't worry, i will try to find ways to keep in touch. [neildc]

im glad that you are going to explore what you learn and you are able to visit some place too where your seminar is held. goodluck and be safe [skywolfcel]
i already been there to that place before, once in the early 90's but i haven't experience sleeping in the said place. this time, my second, will be much exciting for i will stay there for at least three days. so definitely, some night life is awaiting for me. lol [neildc]

I haven't experianced being away from my kids travelling yet. But i have been away from my furbabies. And oh I do so miss them. I remember when we were on our honeymoon...we had a friend stay at our house to furbaby sit. I was so miserable without them. I kept wanting to call home to check on them. My husband wouldn't let me because he was afraid I may worry more if all was not perfect. He knew that the sitter had all of the information so if he needed to get in touch with us he could. That was a hard 10 days but when we got home all was fine. He had actually made really good friends with the kitties. [boppiedog]

i can understand how u might be feeling. i had also left my son who was of just 3months old n me n my husband had come to germany for a week n i was really feeling very bad my half interest was with my hubby n half with my son but then to i was a little comfortable as i was leaving my son with my mom n i completely trust my mom n i know that she will completely take care of him n also my brothers were at home n even they will help out my mom but then to i was having a weired feeling in my heart n also my mind but somehow managed to go n come back. it was the first n my last trip without my son n after that i thought n decided that i will never leave my son again n go anywhere as i was missing him too much. [icegermany]
oh yes really ice. if i can only bring with me my wife and at least the two youngest kids of ours, i will. but if will mean a lot of money to spend. i will just try to go back home according to the schedule so i will shorten the agony of missing them. [neildc]

Hi neildc, My parents and sister...I am away from them this time and I miss them so much..I always have my husband with me! LOL! When I was working, we also used to attend seminar and I spend much on load....lol! I always want to hear from the people I love and care!happyhappyhappy [checapricorn]
that is one more reason being away with the family makes traveling expensive, we spend much on cell phone load to always keep in touch with them. so at least, you are with hubby there. lol [neildc]

Hello, I too use to be away for days together on official engagements. Earlier I had been going alone and I misses my lone daughter and my wife. Now my daughter is studying in University away from home and we misses her much. When I am to travel and remain away from for more days I keep my wife with me and still we miss our daughter. Some times when my daughter is free I also use to take her with me. The relations are as such that We do not want remain away from each other but for the reasons we have to off and on. Go ahead man this is so called life. [sweethomecatring]

I will miss my children. Terribly. [Transdisc]

of course on first place my parents and my girlfriend! [pdexdee]

Whenever I am on a travel, I miss my mummy so much. [Raja_Franklin]

i miss my hubby when im away...im kind of used to sleeping beside him every night and enjoy the comfort of his hugs and kisses..i even miss him when im on a grave yard shift at work...sometimes, we have to make sacrifices and our love ones to stay on top of our careers..sad but true.. [mumaiybanez]

I miss my dog most of all. Humans can take care of themselves. My dog "needs" me! Or at least I would like to think so anyway. She is so co dependent! http://thealternativeenergyinvestor.blogspot.com [raythemoneyman]
my dog is a .5 person in our family. i understand. [supercyndi]

i moved 1034 miles away from the rest of my family and my husbands family. we miss everyone terrible and cant wait to get back. we moved to better place for our children but they want grandma and the rest of the family and at the same time of thm really living in a better environment i feel like im being a horrible parent. we are going back and im 50/50 on the deal. you live once we can move again after we take care of who we have to. you will be fine for 3 days. it will be over before you know it. hang in there. cyndi :) [supercyndi]

Hello happy It is hard to be parted from loved ones no matter even if it is a couple of days . If I could I would love if my fiance was with me when I have to go away with out him . My parents had a condo at a resort a few years ago and he could not get all the time off work as he wanted . I missed him like crazy the whole time . We talked on the phone each night and i wrote him letters and left with him to read while I was gone . We have been togeher coming up on 8 years and we have only been apart around 5 nights . You will be okay Neil and time will fly by ! [metschica25]
oh yes metschica, time will just fly by. i will just spend some extra money for cell phone load so i can make some calls to them each day. i will really gonna miss them all, especially my naughty Zay. [neildc]

Being honest neil think it will be my dogs first then mydaughter son and grandson...my dogs are like babys to me and cant fend for themselves, they are loyal loving and faithful..my children have grown up my daughter lives on her own with my grandson and my son lives with me they are all grown up and can fend for themselves,-my dogs are like children to me and would miss and worry about them a little bit more...litleowl [littleowl]

when I will go out of the Country and travel most of my time for work then it would be my daughter and my wife that I would missed all of my time and now that I knew also MyLot then the rest of good people in here then it would be MyLot as well....... [iyah10]

I understand what you feel neil.I know you are a responsible husband and father.Anyway, you are doing this for their future.I would also feel the same if i will travel alone but it didn't happen yet.I always travel with my family and as much as possible i will never leave without them.Have a happy and blessed trip! [msedge]

oh! i know how you feel. when i go for a seminar-workshop or any work related activities that requires me to be away for days, i really feel sad. i miss my family especially my son. i guess sleeping and waking up in a different room feels strange and uncomfortable. there is no place like home...for us, we have to get over this. in fact there are better ways to feel better while away from your family. try to mingle a little and have a good time with your colleagues. in that way, you will meet the purpose of why you should be in that event plus it would lessen the feeling of being "home sick". [blind_eyed]

hi neil, i will probably miss my bed and my pillow, ggrrr, when im out of town i really can't sleep in others bed, i can't adjust it thoroughly.. until now, but i hate to bring along my pillow, there are many and very big.. i will also miss my family of course and my boyfriend.. lol..!! janebeth.
